"Orbot and Cubot? The heck are you both doing here?" I hissed at the red and yellow robots by the window.

"Hello!" Orbot, the red orb-shaped robot, greeted. "We're here to hand over a message to Mister Shadow the Hedgehog."

"He's sleeping." I said bluntly. "You guys, it's midnight. Shouldn't you be in recharge?"

"Shouldn't you?" Orbot asked back.

I rolled my eyes. "Fair point. Now what's this about a message?"

"First, can I just ask why both you and Shadow are at Sonic's house?" Cubot, the yellow cube-headed robot, asked.

"Long story short, we needed to see Tails." I replied.

"Oh, alright. Well, anyway, here you go." Orbot handed me a flash drive. "He told us to tell you to plug it into one of the guns he has."

"Shadow has a ton of guns." I said with an eyebrow raised.

"He meant the one that you guys just got. The one that melted the rock you blasted at. The one that attacked you guys in the mountain." Cubot said.

"And how would the doctor know something like that?" I asked, my suspicion rising. I hated the fact that I can't read robots. If I did, I probably would've been more helpful with the Silhouette incident.

"He has cameras set up everywhere." Cubot shrugged. "Everywhere except your house. But even so, that's just so Shadow won't try to kill him when he finds out."

"That's creepy." I said. "But tell Eggman I'll get the message to him. Anything else?"

"Only that the doctor said he wouldn't guarantee anything undamaged." Orbot stated. "Now toodles!" The both flew off.

I shook my head. "Those two..." As evil as Eggman was, no one can disagree about him being a loose canon.

The next norning, I jumped off the roof and headed to Tail's workshed, where all three of them are. "Morning." I said, letting myself in.

"Hey Crims!" Sonic greeted. Tails waved while as Shadow only nodded.

I took out the flashdrive from my pocket and handed it to Tails, but not before letting the two hedgehogs see.

"What's that?" Sonic asked.

"It's got Eggman's logo on it!" Tails said.

"Where did you get this?" Shadow asked with an eyebrow raised.

I shrugged. "Orbot and Cubot came over last night to give you this."

"Me?" Shadow asked, turning even more confused.

"He wants you to plug it into that gun." I explained. "Oh, and he also said that he won't guarantee anything undamaged."

"Then maybe we should take it outside." Sonic said dragging the two of us outside with Tails following close behind with the gun.

When we reached the side of the island, i pulled my arm away from Sonic and rubbed it. "Never. Again."

Shadow got free long before we arrived and he banged Sonic's forehead making the blue hedgehog yelp. Shadow ignored his complaints and proceed toward Tails, who was trying to find the slot for the USB.

"There we go." He plugged it in but suddenly dropped it. "Ouch! It heated up. Real' fast too!"

I picked it up and looked questioningly at Tails. "What do you mean? It's just fine."

Tails blinked. He gently touched the gun again. "That's strange. It was really hot just a second ago!"

Shadow took the gun from my hands and examined it. "Nothing changed." He aimed at a tree and blasted it.

Part of it melted, just like the boulder did. "It didn't change the content of it either."

"Let me have a go." Sonic said, reaching out to take it.

"You don't even know how to use it." Shadow replied, implying a 'no'.

"How hard can it be? Just aim and pull the trigger right? Just like the homming attacks."

"The 'backfire' has a different feeling to it than your regular homming attack Sonic."

"Awww don't be like that, Shads. I won't break it. Promise!"

"That's what you said last time I handed you a gun."

"I didn't break it though."

"It was flung into the sea."

"I still didn't break it."

". . . no."

"Come on! Don't be a hog!"

"We're both hedgehogs."

"You know what I mean!"

At this, Tails snickered. "I'm sorry, that last part was too funny."

I shook my head. "That's enough children. Stop arguing or I'll take your candy supply." I said in a bored tone.

"Don't you 'mother' me!" They said at the same time. Then they faced each other. "And don't you copy my words!"

Tails doubbled over laughing. "This is too much!"

I sighed and took the gun. Then I noticed something. "Boys, was it blinking before the arguement?"

They stopped at once and came to my side. On the side of the handle, there was a small green light blinking. The ring on my neck started heating up as well.

I silently hissed and gave the gun back to Shadow. The ring stopped heating that exact moment. I cast a glance at my brother. He didn't seem affected by it.

The hell is going on lately? Nothing is making any sense! No connections to any past events whatsoever! Ugh...

"I'm going home." I said, turning around.

"Crimson?" Shadow looked at me, slightly worried.

I shook my head. "No. It's nothing." Then I warped back to the cabin.

Okay guys. This is the last chpater I'll be publishing for this story. I've talked it over and SilverWolfATW said she'd be willing to adopt the book.

I don't really have any concept of what I want the story to end like, but if you want to discuss over Crimson's past in some parts, then I'd be fine with it.
