I found myself in the cave where Isaac should be living in. The caracal was sitting on a rock, polishing his two black katanas.

"Ahem..." I fake coughed to get his attention.

He looked up and smiled. "Oh, hi there Crimson! How have you been?"

"As well as I've ever been, I guess." I said shrugging. I walked forward until I was in front of him. "I need your help."

". . . Does it have anything to do with your brother?" He asked, hesitantly. "Because if it is, I don't want him to try to cut my head off again."

"No, it has nothing to do with him." I replied.

He sighed in relief. "Oh good." Then he stood up and placed his katanas on his back. "So, how may i help you m'lady?"

I burst out laughing for a brief moment. He's easy going but not as idioticly insane like Sonic, which kinda helps in our friendship. I stopped laughing and sighed slightly. "It's not a seriour matter. I just need help finding a hobby."

"So you can stop picking fights with that metal version of Sonic?" I got caught off guard at that one moment and he laughed at my face. "You have to pass by this cave to get to the ruins Metal Sonic is in right now. This morning was probably the third time this month!"

"That's what Shadow said." I said in annoyance. Then i sighed - I've been doing that a lot lately. "Whatever. Can you help or what?"

"Sure thing. I'll help." He said. We walked out of the cave and arrived by the lake.

"So where do we start?" I asked the caracal as he sat down on a rock.

"We start by finding out what you like to do." He said smiling.

"I don't know. I just like fighting i guess." I said shrugging.

"Nothing else?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

I thought for a moment and try to remember what i did for fun back on the ARK. Then, it hit me.

". . . I uh... Well, back on the ARK, I used to stargaze through the large window." I told him. "I like studying about space and the stars and stuffs like that... you know, before the whole thing with GUN."

"I see, but daytime is mostly longer than nighttime." Isaac said. "You can't exactly stargaze at daytime so anything else?"

". . . I don't think so." I said shrugging.

Then he stood up. "Well, that concludes it. I can't exactly help you stop fighting but if you need to let it out then i'll suggest you to start sparring with someone... Other than Metal Sonic... Or Eggman for that matter."

I sighed. "Yeah, I get it. I guess fighting is just my way of relaxing."

He patted my shoulder. "It's normal for someone who spent their whole life running and fighting. Talk about it with your brother. I think he'll be more than happy to be your sparring partner."

"He is Shadow the Hedgehog." I said, shaking my head. "Yeah, alright. Thanks Isaac."

"Happy to help. Just don't over do it or you'll turn obssesive with fighting and eventually turn into a delinquit." Isaac warned.

"I'm not that crazy." I said, rolling my eyes. "Anyway, you wanna go see the big race?"

"Sure! Who are racing again?" He asked.

"If I'm not mistaken, it's Shadow, Sonic, Silver... And Eggman." I said. "Eggman was the one who proposed the challenge to the other three."

"What benefit does he get from it?" Isaac asked.

I shruged. "Dunno, but there's no way he'll win against those three, so it's either he has something in mind, or he's just having fun. I doubt the second one though."

"Yeah? Well the sooner we get there, the sooner we might just find out." Isaac said. "Let's go."

And we headed out. The race was going to take place in the plain feilds. When we got there, the racers were already in their third lap. Sonic was leading with Shadow on his tail. Silver was catching up while Eggman was using his Eggcarrier to keep going. I tried looking into his mind but all I saw was that he wanted to win. If you wanted the trophy, then why did you invite Shadow and the others to join in?

I looked into Sonic's mind and he was focused on winning too. I'm gonna win and get that prize for Tails!

What prize? I walked over to Amy and sat down beside her. She smiled at me. "Hi Crimson! Came to see the big race?"

"Yeah. Isaac too." I said, pointing at the caracal at the top of the nearby hill. "So what's the prize for the race?"

"It's a special computer chip that can be programmed to do anything!" Tails said excitedly. "When i heard about it, i asked Sonic to enter the race. I guess Shadow and Silver are doing it for kicks, but Eggman wants that part as much as I do."

"Why?" I asked.

"I need it for completing the X-Tornado, Eggman wants it for an android he's been working on." Tails said. "So Eggman challenged Sonic. Whoever wins, gets the chip! YOU CAN DO IT SONIC!"

And of course it's obvious that Sonic won. Eggman flew off right when the race ended. Tails and the others went to congratulate him while i stayed behind.

Then, Shadow came to me. "Well, I lost."

"At least you had fun." I told him while shrugging. "2nd place is better than last."

"True." He said smiling. "What about you? Got a hobby yet?"

"Isaac said that fighting is somehiw my way of relaxing." I explained to him about earlier and he understood.

"Well in that case, I'll be your spar partner." He said. Then he smirked. "But I'm not gonna go easy on you."

I returned the gaze. "I was hoping you might say that."

We raced home while trying to land hits on each other. It's fun to just spar around. I guess I was only over thinking things, but i can't help to wonder... Why did Eggman leave so suddenly?
