I sped through the corridor amd dodged more of those lazers. HOW THE HELL DID I GET CAUGHT?!

I kicked at one of the badniks and sent it flying towards the rest, creating an explosion so I have enough time to warp away.

When I finally reached the cabin, I sat myself down on the couch and burried my face into a pillow.

"How the hell did you get caught?" I looked up and found Shadow next to me.

"What gave it away?" I asked.

"There's a burnt mark on the end of your tail." Shadow said, pointing at the said mark.

"Damn." My tail flicked about. Once. Twice. "Well it doesn't really hurt. I barely felt it at all."

He nodded. "So what did you find?"

I sighed and threw my head back on the couch. "It was a gun. The only reason I thought it was an android was because Metal was there for an upgrade. Eggman was working on some kind of blaster. Well either that or something to turn us evil and follow him blindly."

"Like that'll ever happen." Shadow rolled his eyes.

"That happened once to you before." I stated. "Well, several times, but there was that one time with Lyric and the headpiece thing."

Shadow blinked. "You know about that?"

"I know everything about you, Shadow. When are you ever going to get that?" I said, rolling my eyes.

He smirked then sat down. "So what did he need that chip for again?"

"For accuracy ehancement." I replied.

"Serious?" I glared daggers at him and he shrugged. "Just making sure."

I sat on the trees, watching Shadow destroy wooden targets  with the guns he collected ocer the years.

"How many of these do you have?" I asked.

"I don't know. A lot." He said shrugging. He threw me one. "That's just a normal handgun. This one however," he picked up one that was bigger that his own head. "This was the one that those black aliens had."

"Black Doom's creatures from several years ago, you mean?" I said. He nodded.

"Yeah. Hate to admit it, but it's actually my favorite." He aimed it at another target. "One shot," He fired and the target exploded. "... and it's an instant kill."

"Tell me I can use it on Sonic." I smirked.

He huffed a laugh. "I wish."

"Hey, you two." Rouge flew down and landed next to Shadow. I jumped down the tree and landed next to her.

"What are you doing here?" Shadow asked, in a straightforward manner.

"Did I catch you both in a bad time?" Rouge said, giving a smug smile. She started laughing slightly and faced me. "Say Crimson. Any chance I can borrow an emerald? And a big one at that."

"Depends. What for?" I asked.

"I want to give that echidna what he deserves!" Rouge stated proudly.

I took a quick peek in her mind then frowned and shook my head. "Absolutely not. Besides, Shadow's the only one capable of making that Master Emerald. I could barely make one as real as his. . . I'm sorta jealous, honestly." Shadow smirked at that.

"It doesn't have to be real! Just make it look real. It'll be enough!" Rouge protested.

I raised an eyebrow at her and shook my head again. "This is between you and Knuckles, Rouge. I am not getting in the middle of it."

"Man! And to think, I had the perfect plan to make that idiot look even more like a fool than he already is." Rouge muttered.

"As much as I dislike the red echidna, that's still sort of cruel." Shadow commented.

Riuge blinked. "You... You, Shadow the Hedgehog, is lecturing me about cruelty? Is this a sign for the end of Mobius?" Shadow rolled his eyes while I surpressed a laugh.

"Very funny." He muttered sarcastically.

After a short chat, Rouge flew off to find some other 'treasure' and Shadow started destroying even more targets.

"How did you get your hands on these anyway?" I asked, running a hand on a missle launcher that was twice my size.

"Some are from GUN, others from the black aliens. There are also ones I'm playtesting for Tails. Some I stole from Eggman and there's that one gun I got on Christmas before I was... You know, locked up." He said.

"That's quite a lot." I replied. "About 150 total. And they're all different types..."

He shrugged. "I can't help it. These things interest me. I even managed to get my hands on that motorcycle from GUN."

"Why would you even need one? You can run at the speed of light." I stated.

He smirked. "It actually comes in handy every once in a while. Come on." He walked to the back of the cabin and pulled out the silver coloured motorcycle. "You have got to try it."

We both hopped on the motorcycle and Shadow made it to top speed in less than 5 minutes. We webt through the trees of the forest and ended up in the plain fields. There's absolutely nothing to get in the way of driving, save for the cave Isaac lives in, but that's was on the other side.

"This is pretty sweet." I admitted.

"Yeah? Well you haven't seen the best part yet." We ended up in the mountains where there were a lot of obstacles conveniently placed around. I raised an eyebrow and Shadow smirked.

"Where else do you think I disappeared to? Sonic's house?" He asked sarcastically.

I hopped down from the bike. "With that kind of timing and speed, as well as how neatly this place is set up. I'm guessing... Tails and Silver?"

"Tails tricked out the bike. Silver helped setting up this place." He stated.

I nodded and sat down on a log. Shadow sped through the obstacle course with a grin plastered to his face. This is sort of new, I haven't seen him this happy since when he and Maria took a picture together with the professor.

He raced through the course and made it to the finish line in no time at all. Then he drifted over to me.

"You should seriourly try this some time." He said. "You can't do stunts if you're always on your feet. That's something Sonic won't ever learn."

I shook my head and stood up. "Whatever. I don't-" my ears perked up and I dodged a blast just in time. Shadow hopped off his bike and homing attack to wherever the shot came from. I warped over and found him holding another gun.

"Hit this instead of the person." He said, showing me the gun.

It was a red sniper. The bullets inside were of a golden colour. I flipped it over and found a small lens. I took it off and squashed it.

"This one's still in it's testing stages. It looks sort of like the one Eggman had drawn on the wall. Only his was shorter." I stated.

Shadow took the gun and aimed it at a boulder. He pulled the trigger and the boulder melted in acid. He blinked. "Well, that happened."

"Let's go get Tails to check it out." I suggested.

He nodded and after dropping off his bike at home, we dashed off to Sonic's place.
