Welcome to my very first Open Novella Contest entry! 

That's how I started this book in February 2023. Recently (August 2024), I've changed the tense from present to past and edited parts of the novella. So there might be some old comments under chapters, and the prompts I've used in 2023 aren't that prominent anymore (I didn't think Shakespeare fitted a High Fantasy novella).

But no worries; the plot and characters are still the same.

I hope I'll enjoy it as much as I loved writing it!

The Crimes of the Witches | Fantasy | Witches | Werewolves

Before her twelfth birthday, Davinia never thought she could kill, but for the past eight years, taking their lives is all she could think about. The banished Atropa coven witches came back in an all-destroying reaping of revenge. They killed Davinia's mother and destroyed most of her town, coven, and home. Only the humans, the Lycanthropes that bend the knee, and witches' children young enough to be manipulated survived. But that was their mistake. Davinia has dreamed of revenge every single day as she's been playing along with the Witches' game.
