Blame ParkersRecs!

Scar looked out of the window of his room in the G-Team base. He saw Cub by the side of the battlefield, up to no good. It broke Scar's already-damaged heart to see Cub like this. It was his fault Cub had fallen. He sat back on his bed, unable to watch.

He sang softly as his thoughts bounced around his head.

I will make you proud

If Cub knew of Scar's efforts to save him, Cub would be proud of his best friend. But that Cub was gone. There was someone else bearing that face and name, and Cub couldn't be proud if he couldn't speak.

Get the answers and set you free

Scar stared at his journal, page after page of attempts to get Cub out of there. Every one was either impossible to execute or had already failed. But Scar kept working. Anything to release his friend.

Don't you worry, whatever it might take,

Scar had lost night upon night of sleep on the matter, and it was beginning to take its toll on him in battle. But he'd do anything to save Cub. Even if everyone else went up in flames, Scar would never to be able to bear truly losing his best friend.

I'm finding a way

Scar knew he had to do something. He hurt Cub, now he had to find a way to fix it. He looked through his notes, trying to find a pattern in the failures. Stupid failures, stupid notes, stupid war... everything was stupid.

And I swear right now

If it weren't for this war, Cub would be fine. And why was the war still going? In part G-Team, he had to admit, but STAR were just as bad, if not worse. It was so easy to just blame STAR. But he was to blame.

That no matter what comes of me

But STAR were out to hurt, to kill G-Team. And if Scar died, nobody would try to save Cub. And so many on his team resented Scar's efforts, Cub was too big of a problem. But Scar would fight to keep Cub alive, to bring him back.

Anybody who stands or stood in my path, they're going to pay

Scar looked out over the battlefield once more, journal still in his hand. It wasn't team STAR's fault, but they were stood in his way. He needed to remove them to save Cub. He would do anything to save Cub.

They... will... pay.

Scar put the journal down. His resolve strengthened, he knew now that the first step to saving Cub would be removing the obstacle on the other side of the battlefield. At any cost.
