Spectator

Xisuma was in his own little world. He had to make sure the server was ready for 1.14.1, even if it came out all buggy. He sipped his tea, looking at the code surrounding him. Maybe he should jump into a creative world and see what the server would look like in 1.14. Then he could more accurately assess parts of the code that needed fortifying.

Pulling up his player data as a reference, directly below Joe's, he began setting up for a jump to a test world. He took another sip of his tea, when his twin brother came in.

"Hello X." Evil X showed up, waving at his twin and then seemingly at someone else.

Xisuma nearly jumped out of his seat, he was so startled. He also bumped the keyboard in such a way that this popped up:

Are you sure you want to set player:Joehillssays to gamemode:Spectator?

"Evil X, you startled me!" X mock-complained, dismissing the message with a 'yes'. He didn't read it first. As he prepared for the jump to the creative world, he got a message from Python:

"Xisuma. Come quick. We're down a Joe at tower bay."

Oh hello there, look at that. Thefantasygaming, I think I found the root of the problem. I'll need tweezers and 10 rolls of Duck Tape, please. With that, the Time Skip machine should be up and running by tomorrow.

"How is he?" Asked the admin as he flew down to greet Python. Python looked up at X, terrified.

"He was here! He was right here! He just vanished!" The red snake-creeper was pacing about, and spoke even faster than usual, which was a miracle in itself. "He flew down here, and he passed out, and then I turned my back for five seconds and then he vanished!" Python said in one breath.

"Look, Python. Calm down. There are so many explanations." Xisuma landed, and put his hand on Python's shoulder. "He could've been feeling better, or the ConVex teleported him out because they know what's going on..." X's face suddenly lost its colour. "Or something much worse."

"What do you mean, worse?" Python said, dropping the cool X had helped him to regain in a flash.

"A little bit before you contacted me, I was messing around with the code. And a dialog came up. I hit 'yes' without reading it."

"You mean..."

"Yes. I could have banned, or worse, deleted Joe."

Meanwhile, right beside them, an invisible Joe woke up. He placed his hand on the ground, only to find it phased straight through. And then the illusion of the ground being there vanished, and Joe found himself falling through it. After a few seconds, he caught himself, and quickly got used to having to hover everywhere.

He floated back up to ground level to see X and Python freaking out.

"Y'all alright there? What happened?" He asked. They didn't respond. So he tried again m raising his voice, but nothing. He hovered right up beside Python and tapped the Snake-Creeper on the shoulder. His hand just fell through, and X didn't react to his presence.

And then it hit the poet: he was in Spectator mode. And nobody knew he was. Well, this would provide an interesting perspective on the server until Biffa or X figured out what had happened or he managed to get himself out. Sighing, he leaned back on a pillar, before phasing through it. Great.

He hovered to the Ministry of Truth, puttering as he went.

Okay. After a few days, I've finished it. I spent SO LONG on this one for some reason, it was supposed to come out on Sunday.

In other news, I've had to rewrite the megaproject, I think I'm honestly just gonna start posting it, maybe even tonight. And by the way, tomorrow evening I'ma write the next chapter of the interactive story, and this is one of the most crucial votes.

This has been Pi, and I'll see you all at some point in the future!
