A Momentary Interlude

The time machine was off! Ren, Impulse and Grian genes at each other as the device made a gentle vworping noise. Nobody bothered to ask where they were hung, just knew that they were on their way.

That was, until Impulse started seeing stars. He rested his forehead in his arm, leaning on the wall. He felt Ren's hand land on his shoulder, but he was too distracted by the mild nausea he was experiencing to physically acknowledge.

"Impulse," Grian began, "do you get Timesick by any chance?"

"How am I supposed to know that!?" Impulse snapped, his worsening headache causing him to be harsher than usual.

His face paled as he slid down to the floor. He gently shut his eyes as the nausea filled his throat with a sensation of cold. He felt a small have against his forehead, most likely Grian's, as he fought to keep conscious.

His hearing tinny like a broken loudspeaker, he could vaguely make it two accents talking to each other. It was getting harder and harder to stay awake by the minute.

Exhausted, and feeling his hands begin to tremble from the effort of staying awake, Impulse gave in. He let himself drift off, falling headfirst into a nightmare.

He woke up to a wet cloth on his forehead. He tried to speak, but the coordination of his jaw wasn't functioning properly. He opened one eye, and saw Ren and Grian looking at the console with interest.

It was then that Grian noticed Impulse was awake. He knelt down, asking a barrage of questions. Impulse had to fend Grian off. And then there was a thudding noise, and the ill effects instantly began to clear up.

They had landed.

Short chapter, I know, but I'm tired and the one I had planned wouldn't have worked due to recent events.
Sorry about that.
I still can't shake the feeling that something more is coming. Yaknow?
OdalRune, signing off from the past!
