This Chapter Is Incredibly Meta
(Ok, first things first. For those of you who aren't familiar with my stuff, here's the low-down. A few chapters ago, Azin (bold-italic) declared that he got to use the Angst braincell next, because of the way Entropy (italic) wrote. This chapter is them fighting over that statement.
Also, addressing something that cropped up after the original discussion, these are characters, not personalities. They are separate entities in the middle of a double-glazed fourth wall.
Thanks for your time. Enjoy!
-IRL Odal)
Since I'm wrapping up the s7 War AU, I figured it's time to start working on the next bit of Timeline Q-
Nope. Past-you said it's my turn on the Angst.
But the ending-
I want short-term revenge for what you did to Gee in Soul Trade and what you did to Tango in the aforementioned War AU.
Fiiiiiiiine. Do your thing. I'll just take the ZIT fluff out of the next timeline Q arc.
You are a terrible person.
Thanks :)
"Are you sure this is going to work?" Scar asked, nodding to the page that the spellbook was open to.
"...Probably." Cub shrugged.
With that, they began casting the spell. Magic hummed and buzzed and crackled in the air, giving breathing a faint citrus taste. This probably wasn't a good thing, but it happens all the time with like half the immortals, so no harm would probably come of it. Sounds and light were intricately woven... until Jellie jumped into the fray, that is.
Suddenly, everything was sparking, fizzing, blinding light - and then, with a 'ZOT' sound, it wasn't. Cub and Scar cautiously looked up. Sparks had settled over the floor, fading out, but it was what was in the middle that made Scar gasp in horror. A small, cat-sized pile of ash.
HOLD UP Hold Up hold up. You can't do that.
Why not?
For one, [spoiler]-
WAIT WHAT!?
I know, it's a Game-Changer, but it'll probably get spoiler-slapped so shhh. Anyway, point two, if you so much as lay a finger on Jellie, we will both get burned at the stake. Nobody hurts that cat.
I'm fireproof, I'll be fine.
I'M NOT!
...Put the fluff back in to timeline Q, then.
This is blackmail. This is what blackmail is.
I'm waiting~
You are terrible, you really are. There. I've done it. You happy?
Suddenly, everything was sparking, fizzing, blinding light - and then, with a 'ZOT' sound, it wasn't. Scar cautiously looked up. There was Jellie, standing in what appeared to be the eye of the storm, perfectly fine, while on the other side of the room, Cub lay crumpled against the wall, cold and unmoving.
Major Character Death? So not cool, Az.
But-
With great power comes great responsibility. You can't use Author Magic to further your petty little war. Besides, now that you know [spoiler], you know that there's a road to fixing this with no need for further bloodshed. Of course, you can't use it until someone finds out organically, but that's beside the point.
...Fine. One more time.
Suddenly, everything was sparking, fizzing, blinding light - and then, with a 'ZOT' sound, it wasn't. Scar cautiously looked up. There was Jellie, standing in what appeared to be the eye of the storm, perfectly fine, while on the other side of the room, Cub lay crumpled against the wall. He was severely burned, having taken the brunt of the backlash, but Scar could see that his chest was slowly rising and falling.
Scar dragged himself over to Cub, and I have nowhere to take this now. Thanks, Jeez.
Yeah, writer's block is the worst, jeez.
I know. I swear, the only plots I've been able to come up with for over a week have broken one of our rules or another.
Oof.
Hey. Let me tell you a secret. I couldn't take the fluff out of the next Timeline Q arc, because I have no idea what to do with it.
That's rough. And... obviously I wouldn't let a Jellie fangirl army burn you at the stake.
That's a whole new sentence right there.
Indeed.
So we're good?
We're good.
We've been Entropy and Azin, peace out from the present!
