as the curse was lifted off her,

Or Aurora, the sleeping beauty,
in quite a similar situation.
She could only be woken up,
by a stranger from across the nation.

These myths are by-gones,
welcome to the new age.
It's not always women
needing to be freed from the cage.

The beast kept counting petals
falling off daily from the rose.
Waiting for the curse to be permanent
before Belle came and the time froze.

So know that once in a while,
even 'damsels' save the day.
Not only women need men,
