Clashed
The next morning, Tigress woke up in a somewhat better mood due to having finally accepted the fact that she needed to take it easy until she was able to perform at her normal kung fu level. That didn't mean that she would take it easy on herself, but she was going to keep her training at an even pace until she was completely back on her feet.
"Good morning, master," the students greeted in unison with a bow.
"Good morning, everyone," Master Shifu said. "Eat quickly so that we can get to our sparring today."
The students bowed and began to head towards the kitchen. Tigress walked over towards Monkey and subtly pulled him aside, saying, "You still have to bake those cookies."
"Why? You're the one who made the bet with Po. Why can't you bake him anything?"
"Because, as you well know, I don't have the ability to cook."
"You blew up the stove one time. Big deal. Next time follow the directions and put the soup on the stove."
"Exactly my point. How am I supposed to make anything if I don't know how to cook?"
"Ask for help," Monkey answered with a shrug. "Po can make really good cookies."
"The point of the bet was for him to earn them, not to bake them."
"You told him you would bake them."
"I never said that."
The two slowly followed behind the others as the barracks came into view. "Well, unless you let me win sparring today," Monkey said with a smirk. "I'm not baking."
"A true warrior does their best at all costs," Tigress told him firmly. "And you know very well I refuse to let you or anyone else beat me at kung fu."
"Exactly."
Tigress groaned in irritation. It was clear that Monkey wasn't going to help her out in any way, so she was going to have to ask someone else for help. The two entered the kitchen behind the other warriors where they found Po cooking some dumplings on the stove.Tigress sat down in her usual spot and listened to everyone talking and laughing at the table. Within a few minutes, their food was served.
"Thank you, Po," Tigress said simply, taking her food and eating it.
"Well you seem to be in a better mood this morning," Viper said from across the table.
"What do you mean?" Tigress asked, eyeing her.
"You were acting kind of weird yesterday," Crane told her.
"I was not."
Crane tried to point out how they knew she was acting weird only for Tigress to shoot him a warning look and get him to keep his mouth shut. The masters continued to eat their food and make some small talk, quickly finishing their food and then heading over to the training hall so as to begin sparring. Tigress tried to walk a little bit ahead of her friends so that they didn't see the gash or the scratches that were lingering on her arms. Unfortunately, this wouldn't work out later since her injured arm didn't go unnoticed by Shifu who couldn't help but notice her wincing when she went to spar with Crane during training.
"Tigress, what's wrong with your arm?" the grandmaster asked after she managed to kick the avian into the Gauntlet of Wooden Warriors.
"I just scratched it," Tigress told him. "Nothing too serious."
"Are you sure?" Shifu asked suspiciously. "You're wincing a lot for someone who only scratched their arm.
"I'm perfectly fine," Tigress assured him. She got into a fighting stance again and begin to re-spar with Crane who had just gotten to his feet and was now flying at her. Tigress painfully blocked him until she was able to knock him to the ground and keep him pinned.
"Ow," Crane complained.
"Excellent front kick, Tigress," Shifu said. "Crane, that was a nice ambush, but you need to be more guarded next time."
"Yes, Master Shifu," Crane said.
The two warriors began to head back to the side where Shifu asked the last sparring pair, Po and Mantis, to get ready to fight. As Tigress settled on the wall so as to watch them, Shifu walked up to her and said, "Tigress, I want to see your arm."
Tigress looked at him, trying to not show any signs of anxiety. "Which one?" she asked.
"Your left one, if you don't mind."
Tigress sighed, but obediently kneeled down so that Shifu could roll up her sleeve and reveal the nasty scar left from the gash last night. Shifu groaned irritably. "Tigress," he said slowly. "I thought I said no intense training until you were back in balance with your regular training."
"You did," Tigress said, standing back up. "And I am sorry. It won't happen again."
"I should certainly hope so," Shifu said seriously. He went back to his original spot and proceeded to continue with the sparring. When it was finished, he dismissed everyone to lunch with the promise of some more training.
"Perhaps it will be more up your alley, Tigress," Shifu said with a smirk, and without anything else to say, he walked off to the Sacred Hall of Warriors.
Tigress wasn't quite sure what Shifu had in mind for later, but she wasn't sure if she was going to like it. The others thought so as well as Mantis piped up from Monkey's shoulder, "Is it just me, or does he just look really creepy when he smiles like that?"
"He looks really creepy when he smirks," Viper concurred.
The masters stood there a moment before Po said, "Soup for lunch then?"
The masters let out happy murmurs of agreement to that idea. Po began to head towards the kitchen, stopping for a second to say, "Tigress, you still owe me those cookies."
"I'm working on that part," Tigress assured him. She stared daggers over at Monkey as the group began to walk to the kitchen, Monkey smirking at her before quickly running up to the front by Po so as to avoid any intense sparring later during the next phase of training.
When lunch ended, the masters headed back to the training hall, talking enthusiastically about what they all thought the next training exercise would be.
"Maybe we have to take on the entire imperial army to prepare for any legendary battles!" Po exclaimed.
"Then it would be a test, not training," Tigress told him.
"Well, it sounded cool to me."
"What if we have to train with a new weapon?" Monkey suggested. "That would be pretty cool too."
"Yeah!" Po exclaimed. "An awesome weapon that can help us take down a thousand enemies at once!"
Tigress rolled her eyes and tried not to smile. She didn't always participate in the merriment of her friends and their joking, but she couldn't help but admit that sometimes there were occasions where their joking around was somewhat amusing.
The masters walked up the steps of the Sacred Hall of Warriors and entered the temple a bit nervously, but also slightly curious. They were greeted by Master Shifu who was holding his hands suspiciously behind his back.
"There you all are," he said, his smirk still streaked across his face. "Now we can get our training started."
"What kind of training are we doing, master?" Viper asked.
Shifu brought his hands forward to reveal six necklaces with a bright red stone in the middle of each one. "These are very fragile," he said sternly. "So I do not want any of them broken. Am I understood?"
"Yes, master," the students answered in unison.
"Good. Now, let me put these on you while I explain what we're doing."
He tugged one back a bit so that it was small enough to fit around Mantis' neck and then he did the same for Viper. "For this exercise, you'll all be wearing the necklace. Or not, but that's up to you."
"So I can take this off?" Mantis asked.
"No."
The insect looked at him in confusion, unsure of what to do.
"After these mind stone necklaces are placed on you all," Shifu said, placing one on Crane and then Monkey. "I shall activate the main stone-"
"-to control us!" Tigress exclaimed, yanking Po out of the way before Shifu could put the necklace on him.
Shifu smirked at her. "I've taught you well, Tigress," he said. "And I see your reflexes are doing well."
He held up a square, red stone that matched the one on each of the necklaces. "Lets see how far those reflexes take you," he said.
The stone immediately began to glow and the masters who were wearing the necklace froze instantly, their eyes glowing red to indicate they were under Shifu's control.
"The goal is to free your friends without getting caught yourself," Shifu said. "There's no time limit this time. Until you defeat me and get this stone, this exercise will continue on. Am I clear?"
"Yes, master," Po and Tigress answered in unison.
"Good."
Shifu walked over to Monkey and handed him two necklaces, one for Po and one for Tigress, and said, "Get them."
The mind-controlled masters immediately leaped at Po and Tigress while Shifu darted out of the Hall of Heroes with the stone.
"He's getting away!" Po exclaimed.
"If we don't get that stone, they can get those necklaces on us," Tigress said, grabbing his wrist. "Lets go before we're surrounded!"
The two quickly ran out of the Hall of Heroes, the five running right on their heels.
"How do you think we can take off their necklaces?" Po asked as they darted down the steps, Po trying to not trip over anything.
"By not getting the other ones on would be a start," Tigress said. "We'd need a good plan for that."
"Well it looks like we might need to," Po said as they reached the bottom. "Shifu's gone!"
Tigress looked around in panic, not seeing her master anywhere as her and Po decided to keep running towards the left. "Where did he go?!" she exclaimed.
"No idea! But lets worry about that later and get these guys off our tail so that we don't get mind controlled."
The two began to run faster, Tigress glancing over at the far end of the grounds where the barracks were.
"I have an idea!" she exclaimed, dragging him across the area faster so that he wouldn't get left behind.
Po started huffing. "Wait!" he exclaimed. "I...can't run...this fast....slow down...please!"
The Dragon Warrior glanced up to see Crane about to swoop down with one of the necklaces.
"Tigress," Po said quickly. "Whip Hand Attack!"
He yanked the master behind him where she was thrown up towards the avian and kicked him hard in the chest, knocking him down to the ground. Po flipped backwards so as to catch her and whipped her around where they knocked the rest of the five down. The two then darted quickly towards the barracks where they ran inside and slammed the doors shut.
"So what's the plan?" Po asked.
"We're going to hide in one of the bedrooms," Tigress told him. "Preferably one of the rooms closest to the outside so that we can escape. When the other Five come in to grab us, we can attack them and try to get the necklaces off."
"Who should we attack first?" Po asked.
"I'd like to attack whoever has the necklaces," Tigress said. "That way they can't stick them on us during the ambush."
"Makes sense," Po said. "So, where are we going to hide?"
"You can hide in your room right now. Then, when they get in here, I'll lure them into my room where you'll ambush them from behind."
"And then you get them while they're turning on me."
"Exactly."
The master then ushered the Dragon Warrior into his room, grabbing a staff he had nearby and going over towards the front door. Her heart pounded heavily as she waited for her friends to arrive, but time ticked by and they didn't show up. Did they not see us come in here? she thought to herself. She kept waiting by the door, anticipating some kind of entrance barrage. But nothing. Maybe they didn't see us come in, she thought to herself. I should take a peek outside just to make sure....
"TIGRESS!!! HELP!!!!"
Startled, Tigress spun around to see her friends pouring into Po's room, coming from the direction of what looked like Viper's room.
CRAP!!!!
Tigress darted down the hallway where Po's cries of alarm could be loudly heard. She flew into the room where she saw the masters surrounding Po with the two necklaces they had been given by Shifu.
"Po, move over!" Tigress screamed, throwing the staff she had taken minutes earlier.
Po dodged to the right as Tigress hit the rack where some other weapons were kept, knocking them over where they trapped Crane and Mantis.
"You take Monkey, I'll take Viper!" Tigress told him as Viper grabbed one of the necklaces and came over to attack her. Tigress quickly eyed the weapon rack where Mantis and Crane were struggling to get loose. She refocused her attention on Viper however, thankful that this wasn't the game where Shifu would slash them with a knife if the masters were around. The serpant whipped her tail around so as to link the necklace around Tigress' neck, but Tigress caught her by the tail and pulled her over, grabbing her by the neck and quickly looping the necklace back around her neck so as to take it off. (The necklaces were all slip-ons). When she saw Viper's red eyes turn back into her regular green ones, she let her drop back down onto the floor. Viper groaned and rubbed her eyes, as if waking up from a long nap.
"What happened?" she asked wearily.
"We're in the middle of Shifu's mind control game, remember?" Tigress reminded her.
"Oh, that's right. Who isn't under the mind control? Just us?"
Tigress was about to tell her Po was still free, but a loud cry from the fallen rack got her and Viper's attention. Tigress was then horrified to see Po throwing the rack off, his eyes glowing a bright red. Monkey got it on?! Tigress thought in disbelief. How?! That's impossible! He's Po! Po can beat him up in sparring if he wanted to!
"I'll take that as a yes," Viper said, a little worried as well.
Tigress glanced at the necklaces on the floor and picked them up quickly. "Run!" she exclaimed, backing out of the room.
Her and Viper then ran for their lives out of the barracks, the boys chasing after them.
"Where to now?" Viper asked in worry, taking a quick glance behind her.
"Follow me," Tigress said, darting farther up ahead.
Viper slithered after her, the boys following them across the grounds and then up the stairs to the Hall of Heroes. When they arrived inside, however, they saw nothing and exited, thinking that the girls might have slipped out through the back and gone around.
When Viper and Tigress were certain that the boys had gone away, they ducked out of their hiding spot of Flying Rhino's Armor which Tigress knew how to expertly put on after hiding in it two days earlier.
"Now what?" Viper asked, taking a breather.
"I don't know," Tigress admitted, sitting against one of the sacred pillars. "We probably should find Shifu next. As long as he has that medallion, it'll be a bit hard to try and escape the boys."
"No kidding," Viper said. She laughed after a second. "We could make this a thing, you know," she said jokingly. "You know, guys versus girls? Gender clashing? Girls rule, boys drool? And when we kick their butts we can say all of that stuff whenever we want."
Tigress rolled her eyes. "We'll worry about that later," she said. "First we need to find Shifu."
"Where do you think he is?"
"I don't know. Lets check the Dragon Grotto first since he likes to meditate in there a lot."
Viper nodded and the girls set off quietly out of the Hall of Heroes, checking constantly in order to make sure that none of the boys would come springing up on them in some kind of ambush.
"So, tell me," Tigress said quietly as the walked across the grounds, keeping an eye out for the boys. "Why did you guys go through the window?"
"I don't know," Viper admitted. "When Shifu activated that stone...it was like my brain went completely blank. Everything around me went kind of red and fuzzy and I wasn't really sure of what I was doing. The only thing I knew was that I kept telling myself to follow you and get those necklaces on no matter what. When you and Po headed into the barracks, I kept thinking about how it would be impossible to catch you. Then some little voice in my head told me that you might try something, and I guess something clicked in our heads to not take the front door."
Tigress thought about that for a moment. "Sounds like Shifu can hear your thoughts with the necklace activated," she said.
"Makes sense," Viper said. "I mean, he has us under mind control, so him being able to hear our thoughts through that stone wouldn't surprise me."
The two reached the edge of the Jade Palace grounds and proceeded to walk along the path on the mountains that led them to the Dragon Grotto.
"I still can't believe I let my guard down like that!" Tigress raved as they headed up. "And now, thanks to me, Po's under Shifu's mind control."
"You got me out," Viper said. "And you pinned Mantis and Crane briefly. Po getting caught had nothing to do with you. He was only facing Monkey. Which reminds me, did you ask him about making the cookies?"
"Yes, but he refused to help because he thinks I should be making them."
"Why can't you make them?"
"Are we forgetting who cost Shifu over ten thousand yuan in kitchen repairs because she was stupid enough to put a pot of soup in the oven and not on the stove?"
Viper rolled her eyes. "That was only one time," she told Tigress. "And Shifu told you it was okay; just make sure that you were more careful next time."
"The point is, if I can't make a simple pot of soup, how am I supposed to make an entire tray of cookies?"
"If you want, I can help you with it later. That way you have some skills under your belt. And Po can always help you to make soup the right way." Viper grinned. "Just remember," she added. "Trays go in the oven, pans and pots go on the stove."
"I'll keep it in mind."
The girls finally reached the Dragon Grotto where they carefully made their way inside, keeping an eye out for Shifu. However, the entire cave was empty and silent, minus the sound of the water.
"Well he's not in here," Viper said, slithering inside.
Tigress walked in behind her. "If he's not in here," she said. "Then where is he?"
"AHH!" Viper screamed, getting knocked into the water by Monkey.
Tigress spun her head around so as to be able to take on whoever was coming at her, but the sight of a red-eyed Po with a not-so-friendly look was enough to freeze her in her tracks and allow Po the opportunity to knock her back into the water as well. She held on firmly to the necklaces so that the boys didn't get them and try to put them on her and Viper. Po yanked her up from the water and gripped her wrists tightly, turning her around so that she could face Master Shifu who was now emerging from behind one of the rocks to face her and Viper.
"I had a feeling you two would look for me here," the master said with a smile. "You know me very well, Tigress."
"Not that well, master."
"Well, considering that you found me pretty fast, you must have had a pretty good idea about where to look." The old master glanced down at the necklaces she was holding tightly in her paws. "And I see that you've done a good job keeping those necklaces safe," he added. "Now perhaps if you would like to hand them over so that I can put them in a safe spot..."
"Considering the fact that you're still holding onto that mind control stone, I think I'd better wait to hand these over."
Shifu glanced down at the stone that he was holding in his hand. "A very wise choice," he said, looking up at her. "But this leaves us at a bit of a stand-still."
"I suppose it does," Tigress said.
The masters stood there eying each other, Tigress firmly gripping the necklaces and Shifu standing there, most likely contemplating how he would get the necklaces back. A minute passed by before Tigress glanced back at Po. He was just standing there staring straight ahead with the glowing eyes, awaiting Shifu's orders. I have to get that stone back. she thought to herself.
"Po?" she said, hoping that Po wasn't so lost that he couldn't hear her.
"He may not be able to hear you," Viper said. "Your voice goes in and out when you talk to him."
Great.
"Po!" Tigress said.
No response.
Shifu started chuckling. "I don't mean to be rude," he apologized, "But I do find it amusing that you're trying to converse with Po. He only listens to my voice."
"Right..." Tigress grumbled. Then something clicked in the back of her head.
"The only thing I knew was that I kept telling myself to follow you and get those necklaces on no matter what."
They don't hear Shifu's voice, she remembered. They only hear their own voice!
The master considered this idea for a minute. I don't know how good my impressions are, she admitted to herself. But Viper does do a pretty convincing Mantis.
"Hey, Viper," Tigress said, looking over at her friend who was being held onto by Monkey.
"Yeah?" Viper asked, looking at her.
"Is your Mantis impression still good?"
"Sure it is. Why?"
"Well, I was thinking that maybe you could use it to tell Mantis to do some kind of dance. I'm getting bored with this stalemate."
"Uh, sure," Viper said.
"You can't control him unless he's under the control of the stone," Shifu said. "And right now, I'm the person who has it."
Viper cleared her throat and said in a very convincing Mantis voice, "Dance."
Mantis, who was sitting on Monkey's shoulder, began to do a little jig. Shifu was taken aback by this. "What the-" he exclaimed.
Viper, now realizing where Tigress was going with this, said, still using a Mantis voice, "Ooh, I like this necklace Monkey has. Let me just take it off and look at it!"
"No!" Shifu exclaimed, gripping the stone he held. "Do NOT take off that necklace."
"Yes, I do want to take it off," Viper imitated.
"Don't take it off."
"You are just a little voice in the back of my head!" Viper said. "And you do not control me! I shall take off my necklace and that of my friend's and there is nothing you can do to stop me!"
Shifu ordered Mantis to stop, but the bug had already slipped Monkey's necklace off, breaking him free of the mind control. When Viper felt him release his grip, she quickly grabbed the necklace from Mantis and ordered him to take off his own.
"Keep it on!" Shifu ordered.
"Take it off!" Viper commanded.
"What the heck is going on?" Monkey asked wearily. "Where am I?"
"You've been under mind control," Tigress explained quickly. "Now do us a favor and grab Mantis before Shifu wins over the mind games with Viper."
Monkey rubbed his eyes for a second, but then grabbed Mantis who was now on the ground of the grotto, going back and forth like a robot, unsure of whether or not to follow Viper's orders or those of Shifu. Viper grabbed his necklace and unwound it, taking it off at long last.
"What?!" Shifu yelled.
"Viper told me that when you were trying to talk to her," Tigress explained. "They don't hear your voice. They hear their own."
"Oh is that how it works?" Shifu asked, looking at the stone. "I knew it controlled your mind, but I wasn't aware the victim heard their own voice."
"Yeah, thank you for confusing me by the way," Mantis groaned as Monkey put him down and gave the necklace to Viper. "I kept hearing my voice bouncing around in my head; it felt like two parts of my conscience or something."
"Well now that you and Monkey are freed," Viper said. "Now all we have to worry about is Po and Crane."
"I'd focus on the stone," Tigress said. "If we don't get that stone, this little mind-game doesn't end."
"And with that kept in mind," Shifu said, the stone glowing again. "Crane, get the necklaces from Viper and bring them to me. Po, take the necklaces from Tigress."
Tigress' eyes widened in alarm as she felt Po grab her roughly by the shoulders and pin her to the cave wall. She brought the necklaces against her chest so that Po wouldn't grab them, only to get tossed onto the watery floor of the grotto.
"I'll take care of Crane," Mantis was saying in the meantime. "You guys get the stone from Shifu!"
Viper and Monkey ran over to Shifu who got into a fighting stance, ready to protect the mind stone from them.
While they were doing that, Tigress was getting involved in a wrestle over the necklaces that Po had been ordered to take. Unfortunately, she couldn't do a good imitation of Po, so she was left to try and get away by herself. Po grabbed her by the arms as she tried to scramble over towards Shifu, twisting her wrist so that she would let go of the necklaces.
"Po!" Tigress cried, trying to keep a grip on the necklaces. "Po, it's me! Listen, I know you don't listen to anyone else but yourself, but I'm not the person you should attack! Shifu's the one who has you under mind control. Go get him!"
She tried to throw the panda over her shoulder so that she could run, but Po held on tighter and tried to yank the necklaces out.
"Don't take them, Po! Then Shifu will get the upper hand! Look, I'm sorry I accidentally got you caught back there! I didn't realize they'd becoming in through the window!"
Po twisted her wrist harder, causing the master to let out a yelp of pain. "Po, please! I'm your friend!" she begged, gritting her teeth in agony. "And as your friend, I want to help you! Don't listen to the voice in the back of your head, listen to me! I'm not your enemy! Please-ahh! Please don't-ahh-hurt me!"
Tigress felt her wrist twist even more and she grimaced in the pain, still holding onto the necklaces. After a second more of agony, the grip loosened and she heard, "Ti...gress?"
Tigress glanced up painfully, seeing Po's expression change to one of slight confusion. "Yes," she said with an excited smile. "Yes, it's me, Tigress. Can you let go of me please, Po?"
Po hesitated for a second, but finally released her. Tigress stood up with a slight moan and rubbed the sore spot where the pain was.
"You...okay?" Po asked blankly.
"Yes, I'll be fine, Po. I promise. For that, I think I owe you more almond cookies."
Po smiled. "Mmmm," he said. "Cookie...."
Tigress smiled in relief. "Okay," she said, glancing over at Shifu and seeing that he was preoccupied with fending off Monkey and Viper. "Po," she added slowly, making sure he got every word. "I want you to go to Shifu. He has that red stone. If you get me the stone, you will be free."
"Free?" Po repeated.
"Yes, free. Get me the stone, okay?"
"Okay."
Po turned towards Shifu and ran over to him, Tigress running over to Mantis in order to help him get free of Crane who had him cornered. The master knocked the avian out of the way and told Mantis, "Lets focus on that stone."
"Yeah, especially now that Po's over there!" Mantis exclaimed.
The two ran over to aid Viper and Monkey in catching the stone. When Shifu saw Po come running over, he commanded, "Get the necklaces from Viper."
Po froze as Mantis ran over to make sure that Viper was well guarded from Shifu and Po who would try and get the necklaces. Tigress saw him hesitating, looking back at Viper and then back at her. Please help us, Tigress thought to herself. Please don't listen to Shifu. As if Po read her mind, he flipped above all of the masters and landed behind Shifu, kicking him into the wall. Shifu was taken by surprise, allowing Po time to pin him and take the stone from his hand.
"Po!" Shifu exclaimed in shock. "What-how did you-why-?!"
Tigress walked over to Po and took the stone out of his hand. "Thank you, Po," she said with a smile.
Shifu looked over at her in shock. "How did you do that?!" he exclaimed. "He should only be listening to my voice!"
"Then I guess I'm pretty lucky he listened to me," Tigress said. She then reached over and pulled Po's necklace off, releasing him from the mind control.
"Whoa," the panda moaned. "I had the weirdest dream!" He glanced around the grotto as Tigress walked over to take the necklace from Crane. "Or, maybe not," he said sheepishly.
Viper and Monkey had Shifu pinned to the wall while Crane was finally release from the mind-control. Shifu smiled. "Well, done," he said. "I think it's very evident that not only do you all possess a good knack for planning, more or less, you also possess a strong bond of friendship, something that is nearly impossible to break. No doubt that's why Po listened to Tigress rather than me."
"I did?" Po asked. He racked his brain for a second. "Oh, yeah, that's right! Man that mind-control stone is strong!"
"Yeah, no kidding," Crane said, stumbling over with Tigress behind him. "It was like my mind was wiped blank or something."
"That's the point," Shifu told him. "When you're under someone else's control, your mind becomes empty, with only them as the voice that helps you figure out what to do. Although I wasn't aware of just how far that voice was extended into your brains."
"So does that mean we won this exercise?" Po asked with a smile.
"Yes, it does. I'll take the necklaces and the stone and put them back and you all can go and enjoy the rest of the day off. Thank you all for not damaging them in the process."
"No problem," Tigress said as she and Viper gave the stones back to Shifu.
The students then bowed to their master and exited the Dragon Grotto. The boys headed down the slope, exclaiming something about chilling at Mr. Ping's noodle shop. Tigress and Viper hung around the back so as to talk. "Girls won this round," Viper said.
"I suppose you can say that," Tigress said with a grin.
"I still can't believe that Po listened to you rather than Shifu! That was amazing!"
"I would say it was more miraculous," Tigress admitted. "I thought it wouldn't work for a moment."
"You two must have a pretty strong bond in order for that to happen."
Tigress shrugged. "I suppose," she said. "I didn't realize our friendship was that strong though."
Viper smirked. "Sure," she said.
Tigress eyed her. "What do you mean by 'sure'?" she asked.
"You guys are really good friends. I'm sure you already knew that."
Tigress shook her head with a smile. Viper looked up at her and said, "Since the boys are going to be out and about and it leaves the Jade Palace momentarily empty, how about I get you some baking lessons?"
"I could use the help," Tigress admitted as the neared the end of the slope.
"Great. Then afterwards we can go grab some lunch and talk. If you want to that is. I know the last time we tried girl talk, you weren't very interested."
Tigress smiled at her. "I think I might be able to handle it," she told her friend. "I'm not a fifteen year old student with her life revolved only around training anymore."
"Well that's a relief to hear," Viper said. "Now lets go make those cookies so that Po doesn't keep bugging you about it."
