"I suppose that this is it now," Dunja, now Ruby said. "This is goodbye. Well not goodbye forever the Lady High said we are immortal now. But this is goodbye for a long time."

"Don't worry Dunja I am sure the time will just fly by," Aya -now Amethyst's voice was golden. Glowing I still couldn't get over hearing it ripple through me tasting of honey. It really amazed me how much ambient power the rings held. My understanding was incredible and moving didn't even seem to bother Emerald. I saw how strong the rings were in a fight and now I was noticing how powerful they were outside of battle. The powers were rippling through us and emanating in our smallest of actions.

We bid each other farewell I knew I would see Amethyst again someday. As for the rest, we are so powerful and oh so fragile. It scared me to think what would happen if we ever came together again. The memory of a falling body burned through me strongly as I left by a different path from the others.

I found this journal yesterday. It's kind of ironically funny actually. How far we have fallen since that day. We all left friends, the best of friends and indeed we kept that promise. We came together and founded our two cities along with our glorious council to guide it. But it's funny what a couple of centuries will do to you. Now we are all at each other's throats. Diamond and Emerald are hated by everyone else, Lapis is now known as crazy because she cares, my friend Amethyst hates with a burning passion and I wonder if some of that hate should be directed at me, Pearl has become a hero in our tale where only I know the truth. He deserved better though Biser was a good man and now I wonder if he was right. This isn't the council we dreamed of, it's not the council where we meet to solve disputes. It's a council where we make disputes and yell at each other. Opal and Ruby will fight anything Diamond or Emerald want on principal alone for the High Blood.

I am starting to believe that Lapis is right, we need to break this and start adding Councillors to our alliance. Is that all that is left. Yes that is all. The last two Councillors not bound in a group's hatred are going to found a group of allies and take over the council. I just hope it won't start a war; that would destroy us.
