"Please Nikki! Please don't throw him out! He didn't mean to do anything wrong!" I cried as Nikki held Jasper's reins hard in her wrist, stomping through the wet grass as Jasper followed quickly, not understanding how he was going to be thrown out into the forest, and never be able to see me again. I pulled at Nikki's sleeve, still begging her not to do it, but it was no use. "Get off me! He's going! He's a stupid and lame horse, with no use! He made me loose that show because of his sloppy jumping skills!" I stepped back and paused as Nikki kept walking. There was no way I was getting Jasper back from her grip.

Before I knew it, Jasper was running wild in the forest, only strands of his body being able to be seen through the trees. Nikki had already gone back to her small hut, which was a far distance away, but it was easy to travel to since she brought her newly delivered Mare, Honey, who she only bought because of her speed for Barrel Racing and her being easy to train. 

A tear rolled down my cheek as Jasper disappeared  through the bushes. I knew right there and then, that I would never see him again.
