Planet Xandar

???: Xandar... I still remember when I arrived the first time, hundreds of years ago... there's no peace here... only war.

It was night right now on Xandar, also rainy, city still looking bright from the ground... but these are dark days on Xandar, and that all started nearly thousands of years ago. Xandar is home to the Nova Corps, one of the most formidable forces in the universe.

???: They've had an endless war against those called "Kree". I never understood why they fight, how they even started to fight, I could intervene and end it... but would I act? No.

In the rain of Xandar, in one of the tall buildings, lies an obsidian colored figure, shiny sitting in a floating surfboard of the same color and material... his leg handing down from one side of it... slowly moving... Danen Azulon... Dark Surfer.

Danen: (mentally) Their wars are theirs, only they can end it, for me to intervene wouldn't make me a protector... what would it make me? And if I stop this war, wouldn't it be fair to stop every war? Play God? It is not what I want to be, I can save lives but they must choose willingly to stop it... for me to do it... wouldn't it count as me taking their free will? Controlling their choices and events... is not right.

Danen looks down to the streets in Xandar, seeing many people down there... people of different species... a sight that made Danen smile.

Danen: (mentally) They are all mortals, they have lives, souls... they can love, create, help, show compassion, loyalty... forgiveness... yet I still wonder... why do we fight each other?

He slowly gets up and stands on his board, looking at the stars... and beyond. His board slowly moved faster until he was pointing to the sky and in a split second, he left Xandar's atmosphere. Outside in Xandar, a purple light blur passed by their own satellite.

The stars looked like blurs in Danen's eyes, yet peaceful and beautiful... so many constellations that he could see, destructive novas and black holes but also seeing births of dozens stars. But he could also hear the cries of many mortals... animals and more... war, destruction... so much bloodshed. Danen closed his eyes to try and enjoy this moment, though alone, it wouldn't make a difference, he has been alone for centuries. He was slowing down and suddenly stopped... in the middle of the endless space... surrounded by stars... the beautiful colors, Nebulas from afar, and a black hole as well... though Black Holes are among the worst things in space, from afar it can be said that they are... quite impressive... interesting.

Danen opened his eyes and looked to his left... as he sits on his board sideways, now looking forward on where he had his eyes on. He could see his former Master, so many galaxies away, thousands of them away.

Danen: (mentally) I may never know why Norrin wanted me to join him, or why he saved me... may it be cause he was alone? Or was it because of fear? Or regret? So much guilt lies in both our hands because we aided him... The Great Devourer of Worlds. So many planets sacrificed, so many of lives lost because of him... of us... me.

Danen looks to a black hole from afar, but he doesn't even move there... probably cause he has tried... and he has. The Power Cosmic is a powerful primordial force of energy, it gives the user almost complete control of the universe by manipulating the four fundamental forces of the universe and more: Strong, Weak, Electromagnetic and Gravity Manipulation? All in their disposals. But most importantly, it makes the user nearly completely immortal, impossible to kill via age or diseases, and his regeneration is almost limitless... the black hole couldn't kill him permanently.

(Starts music)

The silence that was in the deep beautiful space was good for him... is the best way for him to think... to talk to himself. That was until he looked back... he felt something. He stood up and looked from afar, miles and miles away, lightyears away. He frowned slightly... as he saw something enter or well... get out of a jump point... or a Universal Neural Teleportation Network... it was a small spaceship which was almost losing power. He looked where it was heading... another black hole, which made Danen's eyes widen. His board quickly moved from a low speed to beyond light speed near instantly.

The ship was slowly losing more and more power. The pilot of the ship had a few more people in it... they were green skinned aliens with pointy ears. One of them was injured with one more apart of the pilot trying to control the spaceship from entering the black hole. Danen could see their reactions... so full of fear and pleading for help. The ship inside was also slightly going into flames because of some damages inside. The ship was slowly picking speed as the gravitational force of the black hole was increasing, and far behind, Danen managed to reach the ship, he was a few miles above but quickly flew down towards the ship keeping the same speed. The ship kept and kept getting faster, as one of the aliens saw through the window, seeing a purple light pass by them, as the ship this time started to slow down quickly... to the point that it stopped moving completely.

The other people in it were either bracing for impact or had their eyes closed... but they opened it seeing that their ship has stopped moving completely... it was a true miracle.

(Ends music)

The pilot smiled, seeing that the ship was being pushed back, away from the Black Hole, and the fire was extinguished as well.

Pilot: W-We're alive... we're alive!

He said almost tearing up, as from the window, Danen finally showed himself, as they took a step back seeing him... they have never seen anything like him before, an obsidian colored man, who's skin reflected the stars as if they were in him or belonged to him. The female alien who looked to be quite young was in sort of shock.

Female alien: The myths are true. A Dark Matter being who rides the cosmic waves, The Dark Surfer.

Pilot: That's how they call it?

Danen slowly puts a hand in the window which sort of starts morphing, allowing Danen phase through it, as he lands barefoot on the ship with his board on his hand.

Female Alien: It is him!

Danen: Not... completely. The Dark Matter myth is quite a lie. Though I do ride the cosmic winds, I do not possess the ability to manipulate Dark Matter.

Danen look to one of the aliens, the injured who was in the ground knelt in pain, as he left a groan, making the female one look back.

Female Alien: Nel'mogg.

She quickly ran back to check on him, as he had an injury on his stomach.

Nel'mogg: I'll be fine, hon.

Danen looked between the two... still holding his board, as that moment gave him some memories... very old ones.

???: Danen!

Scene showed Danen with blond hair and glowing blue indigo eyes walking injured, with a female with tattoos in her face, shoulder length hair with glowing purple eyes, helping him walk as he held his own injury on his stomach. He was slowly put down with her help.

Danen: (gasping for air) Zy...lla.

Zylla: I'm here, look at me, I'm here.

She grabbed his face as he fought to stay conscious after everything.

Danen: R-Run... please... run...

Danen moved that memory away, as he looked at the alien pair as he walks to them. The female one looked at him as he nodded to her.

Danen: Allow me.

He knelt in front of Nel'mogg, putting a hand close to his injured stomach, as his body slightly glows with a purple color, as he gasped, with his injury closing slowly. Danen kept healing him as then he moved his hand away, finally healing him fully, letting him breath more calm.

The female alien quickly hugs Nel'mogg in a tight hug, who hugs her back with a tight embrace.

Nel'mogg: Is okay, I-I'm healed, we're saved.

Pilot: How?

The pilot walked slowly in front of Danen confused, as the other two looked at him.

Pilot: How did you know we were in...

Danen: Danger? I could hear your screams... your cries, I saw the jump point light years away from myself. You Skrulls were about to go through a singularity... to your deaths, it was... right to help you.

Pilot: Y-You know what we are?

Danen: I do, I know almost everything. Though doesn't mean you should consider me All-Knowing, I am not a god.

Pilot: B-But you were sent by him, right? No hope, we were doomed but you came! You saved us.

Danen: It was... the right thing to do.

Pilot: We still thank you, Surfer.

Danen: Just call me, Danen... it is my real name of course.

Nel'mogg: We still might meed your help.

Danen looks at Nel'mogg, with a slight frown... he knew why, as he looks around the ship.

Danen: You people were hit... Kree.

Nel'mogg: We were trying to go back to our refuge, Torfa. The Kree found us in our direction to Torfa, but they found us trying to find Mar-Vell's ship.

Danen: Mar-Vell? Yes, I've heard of her... met her. Though I can't feel her... she's dead.

Nel'mogg: Murdered... Yon Rogg killed her for being a traitor.

Danen slightly looked away, as he slowly puts his hand in his heart, he sighs with a bit of sadness on it.

Danen: Mar-Vell was a close friend, but she would never die without her winning.

Female alien: Excuse me?

Danen: Mar-Vell never loses, even in death. (had his frown put on again) I'm taking you back to Torfa, the Kree won't see you but they already suspect where the Skrulls are, we leave for evacuation.

Pilot: That's... kind of complicated. We managed to capture one of their own, well... General Talos did. We can learn some of their plans, their code and more, we can take advantage of that.

Danen: Then if you have a Starforce, you are in more danger than you all realize, death is coming to them.

The pilot tries to say something, but Nel'mogg talks back to The Surfer.

Nel'mogg: What more can we lose? Our planet gone, only so many left, we have to fight back.

Danen: If there's only so many, war will eradicate your kind faster... if you want to defeat The Kree, you have to do it alive, no one else dies.

Danen got in his board and phase through the wall of the ship, as the Skrulls looked confused, until they feel a slight shake from below them. The pilot quickly got into his seat as Nel'mogg and his friend looked at him.

Pilot: Get in your seats, for his speed is nearly unmatched.

Nel'mogg and the female alien looked confused at his speech, but decided to do what he said, they got in their seats and seatbelts on. Nel'mogg looked at his friend who put it on, trying to hold a smile.

Nel'mogg: Lugi?

The female known as Lugi looked at Nel'mogg who looked both confused and slightly worried. She spoke just seconds before take off.

Lugi: There's still hope.

Nel'mogg looked confused at her comment. Danen had the ship over his head, standing comfortably in his board, as his body was covered his purple energy... and in the blink of an eye, he flies at light speed like a purple star... and like that the first chapter comes to an end.

Sorry for the wait of this first chapter everyone, and I can't promise the other chapters will be as quick, College started this week and I already have like 20 sticks up my ass, and a few popped blood vessels.
