(F/n) was still standing by his desk in his office as he looked at the door with an anxious look on his face. Ever since the moment (Y/n) ran out of his office, there was this heavy feeling in his chest that he couldn't just shake it off. Though he didn't show it, (F/n) was very happy and relieved when he saw that (Y/n) was back to their home safe and sound, but he only ended up scolding her instead of listening to her properly.
(F/n) recalled of the way his daughter smiled at him with a happy but sad look on her face, the feeling in his chest only getting heavier and heavier as he did so. 'Why did she say goodbye all of a sudden like she was really about to go somewhere with such a sorrowful look on her face and why did she suddenly start saying that she's married to Edward who's been long dead since five years ago?' he pondered in his head, pinching the bridge of his nose with a heavy sigh.
"Just what in the world happened to her?" he mumbled, thinking out loud and just when he said that, Loen, Lyra and Raymond rushed into the room with anxious looks of their own on their faces. "Father, it's true! (Y/n)...she's really married to Edward! We saw him!" Loen told him while panting heavily with Lyra and Raymond doing the same, indicating that the three had run all the way here in a hurry. Loen's word perked (F/n)'s interest again at the mention of Edward as he looked at his son with a questioning look. "What?? Are you saying that he's alive?" he asked and Loen shook his head, finally catching his breathe, "No. He's dead. But he's still alive as a corpse and is married with (Y/n)."
(F/n) looked at his son with a frown on his face as if he's gone mad. "A corpse? Loen, did you even hear what you just said? How can a corpse be alive and married with (Y/n)? Edward's dead! You all need to accept that," he argued back, having heard enough about this whole news about Edward still being alive as a corpse and that his daughter was married to him. "But we're telling the truth. We really saw him standing and looking alive with (Y/n). S-She could be needing our help!" Lyra said and that's when Raymond decided to chime in while shaking his head, "No, I don't think that's the case."
(F/n) was quite taken back when he realized that his daughter-in-law and Raymond was in this as well. Doubt started to take over his mind and slowly, a part of him was starting to believe that all of them, including (Y/n) was telling the truth, "What are you suggesting, Raymond?"
"You may not believe what we're saying, sir. But it's true that we saw our fallen commander with Lady (Y/n). And...I saw it clearly. Lady (Y/n) could've escaped easily if she wanted to, but she didn't. She went to him willingly and asked the commander to take her away herself which means that she didn't need our help. And even if she did, I believe that we can only help her by fulfilling her wishes," Raymond said and Loen rose his brow, carefully considering his words. Raymond was right about the fact that (Y/n) went to Edward willingly before the two of them disappeared right before our eyes. It was bizarre enough that they just saw Edward who was really still alive as a corpse, but (Y/n) being married to him was just a whole new level of madness for them!
How can the living and the dead can be married?!
Then again, as crazy as it was, it was also the first time Loen's seen his sister truly happy again for the first time in five years while she was telling him and Lyra about everything that happened to her while she was gone. She was almost like...her old self again, the girl who was always smiling brightly with joy before she lost Edward one day.
Loen sighed heavily at his own thoughts, the living marrying the dead sounded pretty absurd to anyone who hears it, even to him. But...even though Edward was dead and was now a living corpse, he still loves (Y/n) just like he always had when he was still alive. And not only that, it seems like his sister still loves Edward back to the point she doesn't care that he was dead. So if even death can't separate the two lovers apart and if being with Edward makes (Y/n) truly happy like her old self again...who was he to stop her from it? After all, Loen was the one who knows best about how much Edward meant to (Y/n). How she's never taken her ring off once, how she rejected every man who asked for her hand and how she dearly kept everything she and Edward shared to today even after Edward's tragic accident were the very proofs that his sister still has Edward in her heart after all these years and has never forgotten about him for once.
All he could do was help her with what she requested like Raymond said and support her as her brother while hoping that she doesn't take things too far like he feared. After considering what he should do carefully, Loen sighed and calmly looked back at his father who's been trying to sink in what's going on, "He's right. We can't really do anything about this whole situation about (Y/n) and Edward, father. They are at somewhere we can't reach so, whatever (Y/n) decides what she will do next, it's all up to her now."
Loen's words surprised both (F/n) and Lyra as they both looked at him with wide eyes, unable to believe what he was really saying right now while Raymond nodded at his words in agreement. "But Loen, you know it's impossible to-" Lyra didn't get a chance to finish her sentence as Loen smiled and cut her off gently with a knowing look on his face. "I know. But you saw her too, love. (Y/n)...She's happy again like she used to be with what she's going through right now," he stated and Lyra's eyes widened slightly as she instantly recalled the smile (Y/n) had on her face today, it was different from how she's been usually smiling for the past few years and it was almost the same smile as back in those good days when she used to just smile so brightly and care freely before she lost him, "That's...true."
"Father, I know all of this is hard to believe, but it's really happening and if there's anything we can do to help (Y/n), it'd be none other than rejecting Nicholas who asked for her hand in her stead like she requested before they disappeared," Loen said, turning back to his father who seems like he's deep in his thoughts. No one spoke and it continued to remain silent for a few moments before (F/n) finally sighed and looked at Raymond who's claimed that he also witnessed seeing his daughter with Edward.
"Raymond, could you please do us a favor and tell your brother that we can't accept his request of asking for (Y/n)'s hand and convey our apologies to him? We'd really appreciate it," he said and Raymond smiled with Lyra and Loen doing the same as the couple shared a look with each other. "You have my word, my lord," Raymond assured with a smile, respecting the family's decision as he formally excused himself, giving Lyra and Loen a nod as a goodbye before he left the room.

Back in the Land of the Dead, (Y/n) groaned softly and fluttered her eyes open as she started to wake up after having slept through a few hours from exhaustion.
Rubbing her eyes, she shifted around in the bed and looked around, noticing that her beloved was no longer in the bed with her and that she was alone. After their talk about her staying here with him, Edward laid down on the bed with her and held her in his arms until she finally fell asleep.
The girl smiled, remembering the way Edward held her in his arms and slowly sat up in the bed. A happy sigh escaped from her mouth as she instinctively stretched her body and yawned, having rested enough for one night. 'I wonder where he went off to?' she silently wondered in her mind as she looked around, taking into the appearance of the room she was in since she didn't really look around before. The room was makeshift, but it looked quite cozy enough for two and had some furniture they could use. (Y/n) couldn't help but admire the way how the styles of the furniture in the Land of the Dead looks unique in their own way though most of them like the shelves, the benches, the couches and the bed she was on were coffin shaped.
Just then, (Y/n) heard a familiar bark beside the bed and smiled, turning to see Wolfie looking up at her from the floor while wagging its bony cat tail. She chuckled and removed the sheets off of her as she turned to face her little skeleton cat. "Hello to you too, Wolfie. Did you have a good rest too?" she asked and Wolfie barked happily once again as he jumped onto her lap, making (Y/n) giggle. "I'll take that a yes," she said, gently booping his nose while the little skeleton cat only barked in respond and enjoyed her touch.
The door creaked and (Y/n) looked up to see Edward coming into the room with a tray of food in his hand, a warm smile instantly making its way onto his face as soon as his eyes met hers. "Hey princess, you're awake," he greeted, closing the door behind him with a playful grin and (Y/n) smiled, watching him walk up towards the bed to where she was as Wolfie hopped off of her lap. "Hey. How long have I been sleeping?" she asked and Edward smiled, setting the tray down on the desk nearby. "Long enough to wish you a good morning now, love," he replied, cupping (Y/n)'s cheek gently as he leaned in and stole a quick kiss from her lips before looking adoringly into her (e/c) eyes with a warm smile on his face, "Morning."
(Y/n)'s breathe hitched and she felt her heart raced when she took note of the way Edward was looking deep into her eyes with love and how his lips remained dangerously close to hers. "M-morning," she returned his greeting back in a stutter, trying to ignore the heat rising up in her cheeks which Edward found her flustered state quite adorable.
Before she could say anything, a loud growl was heard in the silence atmosphere of the room and her face reddened even more, knowing exactly where the sound came from.
...
...
...
Her stupid stomach.
She bit her lips and slowly peeked at Edward, hoping that he didn't hear anything just now and unfortunately to her, he did. Edward hid his face in the crook of her neck and held her waist, trying to stifle his laughter but his shaking shoulders gave him away. "It's not funny!" (Y/n) protested with a small pout which didn't last for long as it was replaced with a smile when she sees Edward laughing like he used to.
"Haha...I know. I thought you might be hungry when you wake up so, I brought you some food, but that was just too adorable, hahaha!" Edward explained, hugging her close to him as he continued to laugh while (Y/n) rolled his eyes with a smile. "Stop laughing. You know my stomach have no sense of decency," she said and Edward's shoulders only shook even more as he tried to suppress his laughter against her shoulder for a few more seconds before he finally calmed down...though he still had his stupidly good-looking smirk on his face when he turned back and looked into her eyes. "Guess that means we can't have that little bear in your stomach wait any longer than it already has," he teased playfully, planting a long, lingering kiss on her neck which caught (Y/n) by surprise before he pulled away.
"So...I got you some fruits and some water you can drink," Edward stated as he grabbed the tray of food he brought from the desk, unaware of the effect he's left on the (h/c) haired girl. "Y-You have fruits here?" (Y/n) questioned, trying to shake away the butterflies in her stomach as she looked at Edward who smiled and set the tray down in front of her.
"Not usually, love. I had some help from Elder Gutknecht, Paul and Mrs. Plum preparing this for you. Elder Gutknecht told me that you can't eat and drink most of the stuffs we have down here because you're still alive so, he helped me get some of these fresh apples for you with a little bit of magic," he explained, grabbing a piece of fresh apple he cut carefully with a fork as he held it out towards (Y/n) who unconsciously took a bite and naturally let him feed her while she continued to listen to his words with interest.
"Water was not a problem, but unfortunately you can't drink everything else we have here, love. For the dead, they're great wines and have nice tastes, but for you it'd be like drinking poison, so please try to remember that all the time since we're about to live here together from now on," Edward informed and continued to feed (Y/n) while she smiled happily at his last words as she took some water down her throat. "I am not much of a drinker anyway so, that's okay with me. I'll have to thank Paul, Miss Plum and Elder Gutknecht the next time I see them though. These apples are delicious...and it must have been really troublesome to get it just for me," she said and Edward shook his head as he set the fork down and leaned in once again, gently grabbing her chin to make her look into his eyes. "Never. Miss Plum even said that she was happy to do it for you since she hasn't prepared human food in a very long time and besides, you're anything but trouble, love," he stated, stealing a quick kiss from her lips which made (Y/n) chuckled, "If you say so."
"I do say so, princess," Edward replied with a grin as he put the tray away after (Y/n) finished eating. "Oh, and I had a feeling that you might probably want to freshen up after last night so, I ran a nice, warm bath for you in the bathroom over there and got you a new pair of clothes to change into as well," Edward informed with a smile, helping (Y/n) out of the bed as he held her hands gently while the girl's eyes widened with surprise and amazement at his words, wondering how he's done all of that for her while she was deeply asleep.
The girl was just thinking that she should take a bath and change out of the dress she's been wearing since her brother's wedding yesterday and Edward, being the sweet husband he was, prepared not only food for her, but also prepared the bath for her as if he could read her mind and even got her some clothes to change before she could even mention it. He really was doing everything he can just to make her feel like home.
Touched by his sweet gestures and unable to stop herself, a wide grin spread over (Y/n)'s face as the girl took a step towards her husband and stood on her tiptoes, giving Edward a sweet kiss on his cheek which made him instantly smiled. "Thank you so much. That's really sweet of you," she said, pulling back slightly to look back into his eyes while Edward locked an arm around her waist, silently refusing to let her go. "Anytime, princess...What do you say we go out on a nice date today?" he suggested, making the (h/c) haired girl's eyes in his arms widened with surprise at his question, "D-Date?"
Edward couldn't help but smiled, finding her surprised reaction adorable. "There are still some places you haven't seen and plus..." he trailed off his sentence, gently tucking a strand of her hair away behind her ear as he cupped her face. "It's been quite a long time since the two of us went on a date, isn't it?" he continued with a smile, never tearing his gaze away from her and (Y/n) felt her heart fluttered, seeing her own reflection in Edward's blue eyes.
"What do you say?" Edward asked again and his smile widened, seeing a bright smile slowly making its way onto her face. "Sounds great! I-I will go get ready right away," (Y/n) replied, unable to hide the happy smile crawling up onto her face as she turned to go and get ready, but before she could take a single step to walk away, the girl let out a small gasp in surprise as a pair of familiar arms enveloped around her waist from behind and pulled her back. And the next thing she knew, she found herself back in the arms of her beloved.
"I love you," she heard him whispered in her ear before she could ask him what's wrong and smiled, putting her hand over his arm. "I love you too." Hearing those three precious words from her, Edward smiled happily and held her closer to him one last time, "Go ahead and enjoy your bath, love. I'll come back to pick you up right after I've put this away," he said, motioning towards the empty food tray he's brought and (Y/n) nodded, watching him with a smile. Edward smiled back at her and picked up the tray, quickly giving her a kiss on her temple before he left.
(Y/n) touched the spot where she kissed with a smile before her attention shifted towards Wolfie who let out a bark sat in front of the door on the other side of the room, showing her where the bathroom was. She patted his head lovingly and thanked him which the little skeleton cat responded by wagging its tail happily, making her chuckle. She stepped into the bathroom and once again, she was amazed with how even the bathroom looks the almost the same as it does in the Land of the Living, only just that the room has slightly greenish hue to it and surprisingly, even the water was crystal clear and clean as well.
'Maybe it won't be so hard adapting my new life here,' the girl thought happily with a hum as she looked around, her eyes landing on the new dress Edward's gotten for her which was folded neatly on the chair nearby. A warm, fuzzy feeling appeared in her chest once again, thinking about how sweet Edward's been to her and the girl smiled, shaking her head at how giddy she was feeling inside before she started getting ready to go out. After all, now that the two of them were finally back together again, they have plenty of time ahead to make up for the lost time they didn't to get to spend together.
🕸️💙🕸️💀🕸️💙🕸️
After soaking in the bathe for about fifteen minutes, (Y/n) stepped out of the bathroom, wearing the beautiful blue gown Edward's gotten for her.
She moaned delightfully, feeling quite refreshed after having a nice, warm bath as she made sure to neatly fold her old clothes before putting them away. She stood in the mirror and gave herself a twirl with a smile, Wolfie barking happily in approval from behind as he looked at her while wagging its little bony cat tail which made (Y/n) chuckled as the girl picked him up in her arms and gave him a kiss on its skull, "You like it, Wolfie?"
Another happy bark came from her little skeleton cat and she giggled, gently booping Wolfie's nose, "I like it too." She put Wolfie down on the bed and softly started humming a melody to herself as she started combing her hair. And then, a thought came into her mind making her pause.
"Hmm...I still haven't really given Edward anything for our wedding gift. I know he said it's okay, but..."
"I still really want to give him something," she mumbled to herself. Her brows began to furrow as the girl started thinking intently about what present she should give to Edward. The minutes went on and the girl continued to remain deep in her thoughts, whacking her brain for some ideas.
Just when she wondered when Edward would come back to their room, a gentle knock came from the door along with his voice, "Princess? Are you ready?"
The (h/c) haired girl smiled and set the comb down, quickly moving to open the door as she was greeted by her beloved who was waiting for her outside of their room with his back leaned against the wall, his eyes lighting up with adoration as soon as they landed on her. "There's my princess," he greeted warmly, pulling himself away from the wall as he took a step towards her and gently took her hand in his. "You look beautiful as always, love," he added, making (Y/n) smiled at his words as she took a step towards him as well and gave him a quick peck on his lips which made Edward's smile brightened even more. "You look handsome as well, dear," (Y/n) said, reaching out to gently cup his cheek which Edward happily complied by leaning into her touch.
Just then, a light bulb went off in (Y/n)'s head and the girl gasped happily while Edward chuckled, looking at the way how her (e/c) eyes sparkled with excitement at something that came into her mind just now.
"Edward, do you have anything you wish to do?" she asked suddenly, wrapping her arms around his waist affectionately which he gladly accepts by hugging her closer to him, "A wish?"
"Yes. I don't really have anything to give you as a wedding present at the moment. So...instead, I will grant you a wish!" (Y/n) announced excitedly with a smile that was like the sun piercing through the gloomy clouds of the Land of the Dead beautifully in Edward's eyes.
"Love, I told you. You don't have to get me anything for our wedding gift. Just having you with me is more than enough for me," Edward chuckled, gently smoothing a few strands of her hair behind her ear while the the (h/c) haired girl in his arms pouted playfully at his words. After a few seconds later, she sighed softly and smiled, resting her head against his shoulder as she hugged him closer to her. "Silly, you will always have me no matter what happens from now on. I just want to do something really special for you so, please? Think about it."
When she looked back into his eyes, Edward knew right then and there that she was all he ever wanted and he would never trade her for anything in this world. "So, you're saying I make a wish and you will grant it for me?"
"Mm hmm."
"Anything?"
"Mm hmm, anything."
"Well, umm...I don't really have anything I wish for besides being with you at the moment, but I'll think about it, alright? I'll think about what I want to wish for you and once I've figured it out, I'll tell you. Deal?" Edward suggested and (Y/n) smile, satisfied with his words.
"Deal."
Edward smiled endearingly at her and bent down, softly kissing her lips one more time before he pulled away and looked back into her eyes, "Shall we leave?"
"Yes, let's," (Y/n) agreed with a chuckle, moving to stand beside him as Edward offered her his arm like a gentleman he was and she took it happily.
"Come on, bud," Edward called to their little skeleton cat as he let him out of their room before closing the door. Wolfie let out a bark and followed the couple down the hallway, happy to tag along with the two.
(Y/n) and Edward descended down the staircase of the bar, politely greeting back the skeletons passing by as they greeted the two warmly. "Ah, if it isn't Edward and our new lovely Lady Castillo. Are you feeling better now?" they heard a familiar French accent spoke and turned to see Paul watching them with a smile from a table. The (h/c) haired girl felt her cheeks flushed at the way Paul addressed her and smiled, feeling a little giddy. "I am. Thank you, Paul. And I thank all of you as well for making me feel at home," she said with a warm smile, looking at everyone around her with gratitude in her eyes which made them smile back at her with the same welcoming smiles on their faces.
"You're very welcome, (Y/n). And of course, we all welcome you here! You are a part of us from now on! And since you're feeling better, how do you feel about planning your wedding feast now? Everyone's been quite excited to celebrate for your marriage. Foods, drinks and oh, wait you until you see the cake!" Paul said merrily, making the couple smiled as they shared a glance with each other. Edward wrapped an arm around (Y/n)'s shoulder as he looked at Paul with a smile. "That sounds wonderful, Paul. We'll talk about it once-" Edward didn't get a chance to finish his sentence when someone started ringing the bell loudly, drawing everyone's attention.
"NEW ARRIVAL! NEW ARRIVAL!! Miss Plum announced merrily and excitedly which was loud enough for the whole bar to hear. The (h/c) haired girl gasped softly as she watched multiple dead people and skeletons came out rushing from different places, scurrying into the bar in excitement and getting prepared to welcome the new person who has joined them.
"Lights up!"
"Ooh, a new arrival. Hurry up, boys!" Paul exclaimed merrily as he started pouring everyone their drinks.
"Drinks for everyone!"
"Wow, everyone here is really welcoming to the new arrivals, aren't they?" (Y/n) asked to Edward who stood by her side with an amazed smile on her face, making Edward chuckle and gently rubbed an arm around her shoulders, "They sure do, love."
"Welcoming committee, coming through! Coming through!" they heard Miss Plum yelled as they watched her push everyone out of the way excitedly to greet the new arrival. "My name's Plum. Miss Plum. Welcome from the underworld, dear," she introduced herself and welcomed the new female arrival warmly with a smile on her face as she gently took her hand in hers.
(Y/n) caught a glimpse of how the new arrival looks like and the girl gasped with surprise, taking a double-take in at the woman's familiar figure.
"Hey, is that...?"
"Carlotta?!"
