Edward, (Y/n) and Wolfie climbed their way up on the stairs in a tall dark tower which looked like it was about to crumble. Edward held (Y/n)'s hand firmly in his, carefully guiding her way up the stairs and making sure that it was safe her to take a step here and not there. Soon, they reached to the room at the top of the stairs which (Y/n) presumed that it was a library as she looked around the room. There were books piled and littered around everywhere and dust of the untold centuries covered the entire room. And strangely, there were living crows in flesh perching in the rafters even though this was the Land of the Dead.

"Elder Gutknecht? Are you there?" Edward called into the silent room as the sound of their footsteps were the only reply they got in return. Thunder crackled from above and the room flashed with lightning as they stepped into the room with Edward still holding (Y/n)'s hand tight in his hand. "Hello? Anyone home?" (Y/n) called out as well, trying to be helpful while Edward smiled and continued to look around, "Hello?"

(Y/n) accidentally knocked over a stack of books which startled the ravens above and caused them to fly off. Edward instinctively wrapped his arm around (Y/n)'s waist and pulled her close to him, holding her protectively in his arms. The room seemed to become a bit more brighter as some of the crows flew off of the lantern hanged above the ceiling. A shadow of a hand reaching out appeared on the wall and Wolfie barked, alerted slightly until a skeleton hand emerged from behind the alter above and stabled the swinging lantern. (Y/n) gasped in surprise when she saw an old skeleton with a long beard coughing as he grabbed a pair of spectacles and wore them before he looked down to where they were standing.

"There you are!" Edward exclaimed cheerfully and walked closer towards the alter, making Elder Gutknecht looked down at him. "Oh, my dear boy. There you are," he replied pleasantly at Edward who smiled as he extended his hand out towards (Y/n) to introduce her to him.

"I've brought my lovely wife with me today, (Y/n)," Edward said, looking at (Y/n) lovingly as the girl blushed slightly under his gaze, her heart beating loudly in her chest. She took his outstretched hand towards her and stood beside him with a smile, making Edward smiled back warmly as he gave her hand an encouraging squeeze in respond. "What's that? Wife?" Elder Gutknecht questioned in confusion, exchanging a look with the crow beside him before he looked over to where (Y/n) was standing.

"Oh my! So, you are (Y/n). I've heard quite a lot about you from Edward, my dear. I must say she's quite a beauty indeed, my boy," he said and Edward smiled proudly, wrapping his arm around (Y/n)'s waist, "Both inside and out," he said and (Y/n) blushed once again at the way he looked at her. She cleared gently cleared her throat and smiled up at Elder Gutknecht, politely greeting him, "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, sir."

"We need to go up, upstairs. To visit the land of the living," Edward explained, pointing a finger up. Elder Gutknecht rubbed his head in thought, causing a shower of dust to drift off him. "Land of the living? Oh, my boy," he said as he turned around and started making his way down towards where the couple was, holding onto a stack of books nearby for support.

"Please, Elder Gutknecht," Edward begged, walking over towards the stairs of books as he held Elder Gutknecht's hand very gently and helped him get down.

"Now, why go up there when people are dying to get down here?" Elder Gutknecht questioned confusedly.

"Please, Elder Gutknecht. It would really mean so much to us. It will be just a quick trip to greet our families and we'll be right back," (Y/n) pleaded hopefully, holding her hands out together and it made the old skeleton hesitant for a moment as Elder Gutknecht continued to rub his head in thoughts, "I don't know. It's just not natural."

"Please, Elder Gutknecht. Surely there must be something you can do?" Edward asked and Elder Gutknecht considered it for a while before he patted Edward's shoulder, "Let me see what I can do," he said and started walking around the room, "Now where did I put that book?"

He opened a cupboard full of books and looked around, shuffling through the books for a minutes before he closed it back and moved towards the drawers where another flock of crows suddenly flew out of it when Elder Gutknecht opened the drawers. (Y/n) flinched slightly as some of the crows went flying pass her and Edward quickly covered his hand over her eyes, preventing dust from going into her (e/c) eyes as Elder Gutknecht continued to search what he's looking for through the mountain of books, "I left it here somewhere." Wolfie let out a bark as he quickly dodged one of the books that was thrown his way as Elder Gutknecht continued to search for a while.

He eventually found the book he's searching for after going through some shelves, "Ah, there's the one." He took it out from the shelves and blew some dust off of it.

He started walking back towards the alter after grabbing a few jars and bottles on the way. He opened the book and flipped through some pages and examined them for a while before he started speaking once again, "I have it. A Ukranian haunting spell. Just the thing for these quick trips."

"I'm glad you thought of this, love," Edward whispered in (Y/n)'s ear from behind as he gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and wrapped his arm around her waist, making (Y/n) blushed as she smiled, "M-me too."

They watched Elder Gutknecht poured a bunch of ingredients into a goblet nervously in anticipation, wondering what he was going to do with it. When he lifted the goblet in his hand, both Edward and (Y/n) held their breathes in anticipation, but they were dump founded when Elder Gutknecht just drank the red liquid down his seen-through bones, "Now, then...Where were we?" Elder Gutknecht asked, simply covering his hand over his mouth as he let out a burp. Edward and (Y/n) shared a glance with each other before they chuckled quietly to their selves.

"The Ukrainian haunting spell?" Edward reminded pleasantly, taking (Y/n)'s hand in his as the girl smiled and held his hand back. She cringed slightly, watching Elder Gutknecht grabbed the crow beside him from the neck while the crows statred flapping his wings and cried as he struggled. Wolfie hid himself under a huge book nearby, watching the scene unfold before him.

They watched him squeeze an egg out of the crow before he let it fly away. "I'm just going to pretend I didn't see that," (Y/n) whispered to her husband jokingly, making him chuckle. "Ah, here we have it. Ready?" Elder Gutknecht asked, holding the egg up in his hand for Edward and (Y/n) to see. "Just remember, when you want to come back, say Hopscotch," he instructed carefully to the two.

Edward couldn't help but laughed in amusement at the word, "Hopscotch?"

"That's it," Elder Gutknecht nodded and without any further ado, he cracked the egg above the couple. But instead of yolk falling down on them, a strange, sparkling cloud of dust was poured over both (Y/n) and Edward, consuming the two. And with that, their bodies collapsed onto the floor with both Edward and (Y/n), unconscious.

When the dust cleared, (Y/n) and Edward found their selves standing under the oak tree in the flower field where they reunited with each other. (Y/n) looked around amazed, unable to believe that they were actually back in this place together again. She looked down at their still intertwined fingers and smiled, holding onto it tight. Then, (Y/n) noticed how Edward was looking around the flower field with a smile on his face, and his smile widened with joy when he looked up at the full moon shining down upon them.

"I spent so long in the darkness, I'd almost forgotten how beautiful the moonlight is," Edward said with a smile and turned towards (Y/n), tugging her closer to him gently. "And how it used to remind me of you everyday while we were apart," he added, drawing (Y/n) closer to him as he quickly stole another kiss from her lips, making her smile. "We used to come here together a lot, don't we?" she said and Edward smiled, taking a good look at the flower field around them once again. Sweet memories from the past flashed back in his mind and a warm, fuzzy feeling appeared in his chest, something he hasn't felt for quite a long time, "Indeed."

Just then, the little butterfly from before with blue wings flew pass by the couple, drawing (Y/n)'s attention as she giggled, silently thanking it in her mind for guiding her back to where Edward was. Hearing his (Y/n) giggled beside him, Edward smiled and turned to see what she was looking at and his eyes landed on the small butterfly that was flying around them. Together, they watched it fly away into the night with smiles on their faces.

(Y/n) looked back towards her husband and a mischievous idea slowly made its way into her mind. The girl smiled mischievously for a second before she smiled innocently and reached out to touch Edward's face, "Oh, Edward. Just a second, love. You've got a little something on your face there," she said, cupping Edward's face gently while Edward bent down slightly, unaware of what she was about to do, "I do? Where??"

"It's right...here," (Y/n) said and quickly gave him a big kiss on the cheek before she ran away from him in fits of giggles while leaving Edward stunned and flustered in his spot, "Catch me if you can, Edward!" Edward was sure that if he could still blush, his face would probably have been as red as a tomato by now. Her sweet laughter filled in the air as he watched (Y/n) run away from him into the flower field and looked back at him with that mischievous, challenging smile that tells him to come and get her. And damn, how he loves that smile on her face.

Edward chuckled to himself and smiled as he started chasing after (Y/n) who gasped as she giggled and continued running away from him.

"Come back here, princess!"

"No! Haha!"

Laughter filled the air as Edward and (Y/n) continued to fool around together and eventually, Edward managed to catch (Y/n)'s hand and pulled her back to him, pulling her right back into his chest while she giggled. "Got you," Edward said playfully with a smirk as he locked an arm around (Y/n)'s waist while the (h/c) haired girl playfully pouted in his arms with a smile that she failed to hide on her face. "You're too fast."

"And you're adorably beautiful," Edward chuckled, gently nipping onto (Y/n)'s nose which caught her off guard and caused her to start blushing once again.

"Dance with me," she heard Edward said as he took her hand in his and gently pulled her closer to him. And before she knew it, (Y/n) found herself slowly swaying with Edward under the moonlight as the two of them started dancing together in a rather comforting silence.

There wasn't music or sparkling lights of the ballroom, but the flower field around them was their stage and it was decorated with the moonlight and fireflies instead of the gorgeous ballroom. And what's more, there were only just the two of them right now which only makes the moment even more special for the couple.

And at that moment, (Y/n) made a wish in her heart for this moment to last forever as she looked into Edward's ocean blue eyes. It felt as if the two of them have gone back to those nights when they used to sneak out of their houses and come here just to spend some time together alone. She has missed this. She has missed him being here with her like this so much that she feels her heart ached every time the thought of him disappearing away from her life crosses her mind.

"Do you think they will be surprised to see me?" she heard Edward questioned, pulling her away from her thoughts as he twirled her away from him and then, back into his arms.

(Y/n) hummed softly at his question as the two of them continued to dance. "Maybe only at first. But after that, I am sure they will be very happy to see you...We really missed you every day," she answered genuinely with a reassuring smile which also made Edward smiled back at her. "And...do you think Mr. (L/n) would still approves of me?" he asked again, playfully dipping (Y/n) down as he tightened his hold on her, his smile widening when he hears her sweet laughter that sounded absolutely pleasant in his ears.

"He's always approved of you, Edward. I am sure he still will. And even if he doesn't..." she trailed and reached out to gently cup Edward's face just as he let her stand on her feet once again.

"I'm still marrying you no matter what they say and nothing can change that," she finished her sentence with a smile and a promise, looking straight into Edward's eyes and Edward smiled, resting his forehead on hers. "I just hope we can get their blessings," Edward he said with a smile though (Y/n) could still see the concern in his eyes, "Me too." She thought about it for a while, wondering how she should introduce Edward to both their families and tell them that they were married without freaking them out now that Edward was...no longer a human. "Hmm...how about I go first and prepare them for the big news while you wait here? I will explain to them about our marriage and get us to meet together," she suggested and Edward was silent for a while, seeming like he was considering her idea.

"I suppose that's a pretty good idea given the circumstances, but I don't really like the idea of letting you go back to your house alone on your own at this hour, so, no," Edward said protectively with a serious face and (Y/n) chuckled, letting him hold her hands in his. "I won't be long. Besides, if anyone tries to do anything funny with me, I will just do what you taught me before," she said and a look of amusement crossed over Edward's face along with a smile.

"Which is?" he asked playfully with a challenging smile and (Y/n) grinned, playfully tapping a finger onto her forehead. Edward smiled proudly, ruffling her hair, "Good, you still remember. But either way, I still can't let you go and plus, I have a better idea that you might enjoy," he said with his playful smirk, Before (Y/n) could ask him anything, she gasped when Edward lifted himself off the ground and started floating in the air around her with ease. "Whoa...Edward, how...how are you doing that?" (Y/n) asked slowly, bewildered.

Edward chuckled at her reaction and landed back on the ground to explain. "Well, Elder Gutknecht did say it's a haunting spell. didn't he?"

"You mean...the Ukrainian haunting spell?"

"Yes, it's a hunting spell, so that would makes us phantoms for as long as the spell lasts," Edward explained, reaching out to touch a white tulip and (Y/n)'s eyes widened with surprise when she saw how his fingers passed right through the flower mysteriously. "And until we say the word," she heard Edward added as she reached out to touch the flower as well in curiosity. She drew in a sharp breath, watching her fingers passed right through the flowers as well. "If it makes us...phantoms, does that mean they won't be able to see us?" she slowly asked, turning back to her husband who smiled as he looked at her, "Only if we don't want them to, we can't just touch objects while we're here as phantoms, that's all. Our rings are still there because we're wearing them on our physical bodies."

"Oh...I see."

"So, what do you say, princess? Are you ready?" Edward asked, a playful smirk making its way onto his face once again as he held out his hand towards (Y/n) while she looked at him confused, "Ready for what?"

"Shall we fly?" Edward asked and his smile widened when he saw how his (Y/n)'s eyes widened and sparkled with excitement along with a smile making its way onto her beautiful face.
