The sound of the crowd cheering filled the bar as everyone gathered around, watching Edward and the skeleton soldier duel with each other. (Y/n) smiled, watching Edward blocked an attack from General Wellington with a confident smile. A warm fuzzy feeling filled in her chest as she sat there with Wolfie resting on her lap and watched, another sweet memory from the past taking over her mind.

Flashback,

(Y/n) hummed softly to herself as she smiled and continued to walk her way through the town, holding a basket in her hand. She warmly greeted back the shopkeepers who greeted her with smiles when they saw her walking pass their shops. The girl soon reached towards the alley she was walking towards to and smiled when she saw a certain knight of hers with jet black hair standing there, surrounded by the kids young and old as she watched him teach them how to fence with the fencing foils.

One of the kids spotted (Y/n) walking up towards where they were standing and gasped. He called her name happily, unintentionally announcing her arrival to Edward and the rest of the kids, "(Y/n)!" And just like that, all of the kids' attention shifted from Edward to her, "Lady (Y/n) is here!!" They started running towards her happily, calling her name, "(Y/n)!" And soon, the girl found herself surrounded by the kids, making her chuckle.

"(Y/n), are you going to read a book to us again?"

"Ooh, ooh, what are we playing today?"

They continued on with the questions, making (Y/n) laugh as she settled them down. "Haha, don't worry. We'll do them all today. And...I brought you guys the cookies just like I promised," the girl said and opened her basket, showing them the cookies she's baked for all of them and the kids gasped happily, looking at the cookies with sparkling eyes, "Wowwww...."

"Hey, I get that you're all happy to see (Y/n) as much as I do, but don't forget. You're here to learn and we're still in the middle of the lesson, you know," Edward said with a knowing smile as he walked up to them with his arms crossed. The kids looked up at him with sparkling eyes, some with sheepish smiles and Edward chuckled, shaking his head with a smile, "Fine. You can have a break and have your cookies," he said and the kids cheered with joy, making (Y/n) giggle as she and Edward started handing the cookies to everyone. After a little while, they finished giving them the cookies and (Y/n) smiled, watching them enjoy the cookies she's baked.

"Those little rascals...they won't stop making a fuss about when you're coming to see them next," she heard her boyfriend said along with a chuckle as a pair of strong and familiar arms enveloped around her waist from behind, making her giggle.

"They're all demandingly adorable, aren't they?" (Y/n) said and Edward smiled as he bent down, giving her a quick kiss on her cheek, "Just like you." The girl blushed and pouted slightly at his words. "Hey, I am not demanding," she said and Edward smirked slightly, watching her lean her back against his chest playfully, "Yes, you are."

"No, I am not."

"Yes, you are."

"Fine. Name one time I was demanding then," (Y/n) said, playfully glaring up at her boyfriend who laughed, hugging her closer to him. "Let's see...when you first asked me to teach you how to fence and right now, you're being demandingly adorable in my eyes," Edward said and started trying to shower (Y/n) with kisses, making the girl gasped as she started trying to push him away between her giggles, "Hey! What are you doing? There are kids around!"

"They are distracted by your cookies."

"That still doesn't count, you're a big, fully grown-up child yourself!" (Y/n) said between her laughter as the couple continued to joke around with each other until the kids started to shift their attention back to them for the lessons.

End of flashback.

(Y/n) giggled quietly to herself at the memory and smiled, but her beautiful smile dropped immediately and her (e/c) eyes widened when she realized she forgot something she shouldn't have forgotten. Her family.

"Oh shoot," the girl cursed underneath her breath and started to panic in her mind while Wolfie looked up at her, sensing that something was wrong. He hopped off of (Y/n)'s lap just as the girl stood up with a rush of panic going through her mind. The corpses and the skeletons beside her cheered with excitement once again when Edward when Edward managed to knock out General Wellington's swords from his grip with a light blow from his own sword and won the duel fair and square. But (Y/n) wasn't paying attention anymore as the girl started to walk away unconsciously out of panic, muttering to herself. "(Y/n)??"

Your Pov,

Oh no, no, no, no. How in the world did I forget about such an important thing like this? Father and Loen. How could I forget them? I left home without saying anything to anyone! Gosh, how long have I been staying here? Everyone must be worried sicked! I was walking aimlessly with a scattered mind that I didn't notice a spider dangling in front of me and walked straight into it, making me gasp in surprise. "Oh, pardon me," I apologized unconsciously and the spider smiled. "Married, huh dearie? I'm a widow," she said and my eyes widened when I heard her talking, but at this point, I shouldn't even be surprised anymore that now I can hear spiders talking too and right now, it wasn't something I should be worried about too.

"Oh, excuse me," I said and quickly scurried my way towards the exit where it leads back to the balcony where Edward and I were staying a few minutes ago. I heard the spider said something in reply, but I wasn't able to hear what she said exactly as I continued to pace around the balcony frantically. What should I do? What should I do? I should go home, shouldn't I? If I stay here, I should go and at least let everyone know that I am okay, but how??

I continued to pace around anxiously trying to figure out a solution until I heard someone calling my name. "(Y/n)? Oh, love, there you are," I turned to see Edward closed the door behind him as he started to walk up to where I was standing. "Edward," I whispered his name and Edward seemed to have noticed that there was something wrong as he took my hand in his and rubbed his thumb over my knuckles while his other hand went to cup my cheek gently in attempt to calm me down which worked magically on me like as if I had drunk a Calming Draught. "What's wrong? Is everything okay? Tell me," Edward asked, looking into my eyes as he continued to cup my cheek. His hand was cold, but it didn't bother me. In fact, I found it quite relaxing as I leaned into his touch and I felt myself calm down before I told him what I was worrying about, "Edward, I need to get home."

My words seems to have shocked my beloved greatly as I watched his blue eyes widened slightly in shock and a worried expression took over his handsome face. "What? Why? D-Did I do something wrong? I'll fix it, I promise!" Edward stammered, the look of insecure on his face broke my heart, knowing that I was the reason that made this wonderful man in front of me feel that way. I shook my head no at his words and reached out to gently cup his face, cutting him off successfully before he could continue to stammer any further and feel even more insecure.

"No, no. You did nothing wrong, Edward. Really. It's just...I left my home without saying anything to anyone. And believe me, everything's been really perfect between us and it's really lovely here. But I have to get home. Even if it's just for a while, I have to go back. I'd love to stay here with you, Edward, really. More than anything in this world. But there are still things I need to finish and clear up at home and I can't just disappear without saying any goodbyes to them. I will come back here, I promise. I just need to go back just for a little while. So, can I go...please?" I said and Edward was silent for a while with a look of hesitation on his face before he sighed and put his hand over mine, leaning into my touch. "You're right. I should have thought more before I brought you here. I...will try to think of a way for us to go back," he said and smiled weakly at me. The insecure expression on his face from just a few seconds ago instantly came back onto my mind, but just when I opened my mouth to say something, Wolfie beat me to it as he showed up from behind Edward with his small barks.

"What's that, Wolfie?" Edward asked, turning in Wolfie's way as he knelt down to his level while Wolfie continued to bark. "Oh, no, we couldn't possibly," Edward said again while I stood there confused. Were they having a conversation??? Wolfie barked once again, wagging its bony tail adorably. "Oh, well, if you put it like that," Edward said as he stood up and stroked his chin, seeming like he was considering what Wolfie was saying. "What are you guys talking about?" I asked curiously and he smiled at me warmly.

"Elder Gutknecht," Edward replied mysteriously with a smile as he took my hand in his and started leading me towards somewhere while Wolfie followed us closely from behind.
