Episode 82: The Italian Tactics! Catennacio Counter!

A/N: This will be written in third person POV. I'm gonna try writing it this way since I can't describe the tactics in Rena's POV. Come on man, I tried...

In some chapters, I'll write them in third person, since I completely forgot how to write in third person since I started updating. Comment if you like me writing in Rena's POV or third person POV

And about the previous chapter, you'll see why I made Rena use Dark Odin Sword. Remember when I said there were gonna be appearances of Hetalia characters?

"U-Unbelievable!" The announcer of the game was beyond shocked. He just couldn't believe it. How could someone like her do that sort of technique? Not even the famous Honda Kiku could do it, yet a young girl who just entered the tournament managed to do such a move? "I-It's only her second appearance into the tournament, and she m-manages to copy and master Honda Kiku's technique!"

'This is what you people get for underestimating us.' Rena thought angrily. Or, was it Rena who thought angrily? 'OK, enough of this. I thought I told you to get out of my head!'

'Like I'm going to listen to you.' Her other self sneered at her. 'Get your act straight, Rena. Do you realize where you are? You're not at Teikoku, Raimon, or in Team Dreamers: You're in the Football Frontier International. You should learn when to use some backbone. I can see why Fudou thought you were an ass back then.'

'I am NOT an ass, thank you very much, other me.' Rena said to her other self before walking back to her position, ignoring the shocked whispers from Orpheus. "Hey, what the hell was that?" Kidou asked her. "I... I'm not sure." Rena sighed. "I-I just did it." She said, looking at her brother and Kidou. "Sis, control yourself. Well, we got the first point thanks to you, but don't go all out next time, OK?" Jirou patted her shoulders, in result, Rena smiled at him, nodding. "OK, I'll try to control myself."

The match continues with Orpheus' kickoff. Fideo kicked it to Raffaele, but before Fideo could run forward, Raffaele went ahead of him, running into Inazuma Japan's territory alone. Kidou saw that the team was in pieces, due to the fact Fideo's teammates won't listen to him because of Kageyama's intentions. "Someoka, Gouenji! Put pressure on them from the sides!" He commanded. The two responded with a "Got it!" and went to the sides. "Jirou, Rena, follow my lead!" He commanded again before running up, the twins following behind him. Someoka was going to steal the ball from Raffaele but he got past him, only to reveal that Jirou was behind Someoka, and he managed to steal the ball. Him, Rena and Kidou were running up ahead, the ball still in Jirou's possession.

"Crap!" Fideo panicked a little when he saw them running up. "Everyone, pull back the defense line!"

Kidou, Rena, and Jirou were running up ahead, and the rest of the Orpheus players were trying to catch up to them.

"What're you trying to do, Gianluca?!" Angelo asks as he stops running to see his teammate looking at the opposing team with anger and not listening to Fideo's orders. "How can we win if we just keep defending?!" He asked furiously. "I'm stealing the ball back!" "But Fideo said to bring back the defense line!" Angelo said, which made Gianluca even more angry. "I'm not going to listen to someone who trusts Mr. K!" Angelo looks at him with a shocked expression. "Let's go, Giorgio, Vent!" Him, along with the other two ran up, completely abandoning the defense line. Jirou was still running with the ball in his possession. Once he saw that the three were running in front of him, he kicked the ball to Kidou, and once Jirou got past the three, Kidou kicked the ball back to him.

Jirou, along with Gouenji and Hiroto were running up ahead. Jirou had a chance to the ball to Gouenji, and since no one was marking him, he had a clear chance to shoot in. Unfortunately, Fideo had already stopped the ball with ease, by doing a bicycle-like kick.

From the shadows, two figures were watching. One of them was taller than Kageyama Reji and even Kudou Michiya. He was pale-skinned and had a childish-like face. He had slightly wavy hair and a pale of ashen blonde, and has violet eyes. Aside from the grey coat he was wearing, he was wearing an old uniform which belonged to his father when he was in the military.

The other man next to him was shorter, probably taller than Tsunami. He had short, black hair and blood red eyes. Apart from the white cloak that was covering him, he was wearing a black, Japanese, military uniform, while holding a wooden katana in his hand.

"They're good, da?" The taller male asked the shorter male, who only scoffed. "Orpheus will win by a landslide, Ivan." He snarled. "Those Japan players down there are just rejects." "Don't get all bitter, Kuro." The taller male, known as Ivan, said. Kuro looked at him with an angry expression, then became surprised when Ivan had a smirk on his face. "Garshield and Trina are going to handle this. Well, before we dispose of them anyway."

Kuro sighed. "You're right."

"Let's just watch the game and see what happens." Ivan's smile returned and faced the field below them. Kuro only scowled at Ivan's response. "It's not like they'll be able to it. Kageyama Tougo's an excellent player. There's no way a boy like him could do it."

"If you can't believe Okita's daughter copied your move, then believe in Kageyama Reji's team in perfecting Catennacio Counter." Ivan said, still eyeing down the field. "Oh wait, your brother made Dark Odin Sword, not you." "I made that move with my own blood, sweat, and tears!" Kuro shouted.

"Really? Then I guess that girl down there has a problem within her." Ivan said, facing Kuro with a smirk once again. "Okita's daughter still has replacement problems, plus problems with her other self. Didn't you notice?" He asked. He was right. Kuro had this ability to see other people's persona, that's why he was rejected back then to participate in the FFI about six years ago. When Rena did Dark Odin Sword, he noticed that it wasn't actually Rena that did it; It was her alter-ego that she was trying to keep away this whole time. Kuro smirked at this. "We could use her, Ivan."

"Hmm? How so?" Ivan asked. Kuro chuckled darkly; He could clearly feel Rena's alter-ego, thirsting for power, and it was angry. "Her alter-ego clearly wants to be let out, and that pathetic little girl is holding it in." He said. "Then, she's afraid to let it out, da?" Ivan smiled again, only this time, it was a sinister one. "Let's talk about this with Luci."

Kuro smiled evilly. "Indeed. After this, we'll destroy soccer, once and for all."

Back down at the field, the game resumes with Jirou's throw in. Looking for an opening, he manages to find one near Kidou. "Kidou!" He throws the ball to him, and Kidou kicks it to Someoka, but the ball was stolen by Angelo who does a sliding. He kicks it to Fideo and runs forward, along with Angelo and Raffaele. Rena managed to do a sliding to stop Fideo but the ball ended up outside the field. 'Well, that worked...' Rena thought, sighing in relief. 'Yeah, it did. For a weakling.' Her other self sneered. At this point, Rena scoffed, earning a look from Fideo. "You alright?"

"H-Huh? Yeah." Rena returned to her position. When Angelo was helping Fideo up, he gave a concerned look; It wasn't concerning the team, since he knew that they can trust Fideo, and somehow Kageyama: It was concerning Fideo's friend. "I can tell who's lying. They don't call me Angelo for nothing."

"It's like... I'm not talking to her. I'm talking to someone else." Fideo muttered. "Let's focus for now."

The game resumes with Dante's throw-in. He throws it to Fideo, and he starts running up ahead. "Keep an equal distance from each other and predict the ball's movements!" He commanded. At a respectable distance, Gianluca, Rafaelle, Angelo, Dante, and Giorgio were running ahead with him. When he saw Kidou and Rena were running up to stop them, he kicked it to Raffaele, but his pass went to up ahead, earning an opportunity for Tsunami to get the ball. Kidou runs up past the Orpheus players, and it gives Tsunami an opening to kick the ball to Kidou. Of course, Fideo and the others were running to catch up to him.

"Fideo, didn't that just backfire on us?!" Gianluca asks furiously.

"I'm getting that ball back!" Dante shouts.

"No!" Fideo warns. "Don't break the formation!"

From a different part of the stadium, Nami was watching from the stands, along with a man who looked like Kuro: He was Honda Kiku, one of the famous players for Japan. He was wearing a white, Japanese military uniform with a white hat to hide his face. "You see that girl down there?" Nami points down, at Rena's precise position. "That's the girl that can copy any hissatsu and play style of any player."

Kiku sighs. "I get that she can copy anything. I'm impressed. However," He looks at Nami with a worried look etched on his face. "I have the same ability as my twin; It wasn't her that made that shoot."

"What? You mean there's another Rena?!" Nami asks, shock all over his face. "She has the same problem as Fubuki Shirou, but her alter-ego won't come out unless Kuro makes it come out." Kiku says, remembering that cursed day. His girlfriend, Maria had an alter-ego that she was hiding. Jealously clouded Kuro, and he ended up releasing Maria's alter-ego, Marin. Maria died that day, and Marin was nowhere to be seen again.

"So... if her alter-ego comes out... Rena's gonna die?" Nami choked on his own sentence.

"If she's not strong enough, she will." Kiku said gravely.

Back down at the field, Kidou was already surrounded by the Orpheus players: They seemed to know what Fideo and Kageyama were aiming at. Jirou was wide open, hoping for Kidou to pass the ball to him, but was blocked by Angelo. Rena ran up to, but was marked by Dante. He was surrounded, like a door-bolt. "Surrounded in the blink of an eye?!" He asks furiously, not believing what was happening. "This is the result of that training, isn't it?" Angelo asks, looking at Fideo. "And this is the soccer that Mr. K was seeking!" Giorgio says.

Kidou, not believing that this was happening, attempts to get out of the door-bolt, but Fideo skillfully steals the ball from him. He makes a kick to the front, and it gets to Raffaele.

"Freeze Shot!" The position that he was standing on was surrounded by ice and kicks the ball straight to Endou, ice following it's trail. Endou attempts to stop it but fails, earning a point for Orpheus.

'They actually did it, did they?' Rena thought, shrugging to herself while smiling. "Guess that means they finally made him see the light."

"See what light?" Tsunami asks. Rena only smiles. "Just to someone on that side of the benches."

Tsunami follows her gaze, and chuckles. "Guess you're right, Ren. If I can call you that."

"It's better than Rina." Rena laughed a little.

Outside the stadium, Genda "Matsumoto" Kuroi was watching the match in a cafe near his area. "Get ready, Inazuma Japan." He mutters. "Once Kuro brings out Rena's alter-ego, you won't stop her, or us."

Kuroi stands up, leaving the cafe. He pulls out an old photo from his pocket and looks at it. There, was a picture of his parents. He clenches the photo in his hand and throws it away, stepping on it. His black eyes were now clouded in rage, turning them red.

"I'll avenge you mom, dad." Were the last words he said before going to the stadium.
