Tej and Ramsey get to work on bringing up God's Eye. Deckard stays in the original room as he calls some of his contacts. He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that Gabby is working with Cipher.
"Got him. He's in London," Tej says as a red dot pops up in London before Ramsey and Tej share a smirk.
"Wait. We've got a second match in Hong Kong," Ramsey says as she looks at the screen confused.
"Beijing and Seoul," Rome adds as more dots pop up in the screen.
"And Tokyo," Tej says as they watch the dots pop up.
"And just about every other major city on the plant," Ramsey says as she shakes her head.
"And so, God's Eye was where we started," Mr. Nobody tells the team as Letty sits on the steps. "But Cipher's already created an evasion that masks their location by pinging random spots all over the globe, but it was a good thought, Roman."
"So, she's made my program obsolete," Ramsey says as Mr. Nobody walks over to her.
"And that, Ramsey, is why you're here," Mr. Nobody tells her.
"See, simple solutions aren't gonna cut it here, slick," Little Nobody says as he walks past Rome.
"Why you look at me when you say that?" Rome asks him with a glare.
"Wait a second. Wait, wait. Simple solutions might just cut it," Tej says as he stares at the screens. "You see, in order for God's Eye to give off all these false pings, means they have to be using a FLEA relay."
"Watch these two," Mr. Nobody tells Little Nobody as Tej looks at Ramsey.
"Which means it has a decaying sync randomizer," Ramsey says in agreement with Tej.
"Which we can reverse..." Tej continues as Ramsey catches on.
"And track it back to the originating source and find Dom's try location," Ramsey finishes with a smile.
"I'm telling you they got skills," Mr. Nobody tells Little Nobody with a smile.
"That was my idea," Rome says as he looks at everyone. "That's what I was saying. Remember in there?"
"All right, let's try this," Mr. Nobody says with a clap before Tej and Ramsey get to work.
"It's working," Ramsey says as dots start to disappear.
"Time you wanna check your manual and start organizing a force response," Hobbs tells Little Nobody tauntingly.
"Let's get ahold of our international assets..." Little Nobody says over his walkie while Mr. Nobody walks over to Hobbs.
"He's still green," Mr. Nobody says as they look at Little Nobody.
"Yeah, like fresh baby shit," Hobbs says causing Mr. Nobody to laugh.
"As soon as we have Toretto's and Hobbs' location I want to mobilize," Little Nobody says into his walkie before looking at Mr. Nobody, who gives him an okay gesture while Hobbs gives him an eh gesture.
"Let's get a hold of a better asshole," Rome says as he stands beside Little Nobody, pretending that he has a walkie. "No respects you..." Rome mimics radio static. "Copy."
"All right, their not in China," Tej says as all of those dots disappear. "Or Russia."
"Europe's clear," Ramsey says as all of those dots disappear. "But this one's not going away."
"This is interesting," Mr. Nobody says with a smile.
"Why?" Little Nobody asks him.
"Because that's here," Mr. Nobody answers him before an explosion happens sending everyone to the floor.
Two machines are slid into the room before grenades start ejecting off of them. Hobbs grabs one before throwing it away from him as it goes off. The blast sends him to the floor. Deckard runs over to Ramsey, pushing her to the floor as one goes off near her before a door traps Deckard. Cipher, Gabby, and Dom enter the room as everyone tries to get their bearings but find it hard.
"Did you all enjoy that?" Cipher asks as everyone grabs at their heads besides Deckard, who is stuck. "Next generation concussion grenade. It scrambles your senses. Don't worry, it'll wear off in an hour. Probably." Gabby walks past her brother as Cipher walks over to Deckard. "Hello, Deckard. Nice to see you again." Cipher laughs as she glances over to Dom. "Look at this, body's not even cold, Dom. Your family's already replacing you." Cipher looks back at Deckard, pointing her gun at him. "You chose the losing team. I guess your brother is smarter than you." Gabby glances up at the mention of Owen, before seeing his profile on a busted screen, causing her to frown. Gabby looks over at Deckard, who is already looking at her as he tries to figure her out. Cipher walks over to where Ramsey had been working, plugging in a device. Dom notices the team starting to get up before he shoots the glasses above them. Dom notices Letty holding her ears as she looks up at him in pain causing him to have to turn away from her. Cipher types on the computer before a disc pops out. "Smart move, embedding God's Eye into the mainframe. Irritating to make me have to come all the way down here to get it, but..." Cipher grabs the disc and her device before she starts to leave. "Let's go."
"Dom!" Letty yells as Dom and Gabby follow after Cipher. Dom turns to face her as Letty forces herself to sit up. "You're gonna turn your back on family? Just like that?" Cipher stands in front of Dom before looking over at Letty. Cipher kisses Dom before looking back at Letty with a small smirk.
"Let's go," Cipher tells Dom before she walks away once again. Gabby looks at Deckard again before following after Cipher.
"Back there was that for her, for me, or you?" Dom asks as he paces in front of Cipher before turning to look at her. "Or was it even necessary?"
"Necessary? Nothing is necessary," Cipher says as she takes an earphone out of her ear. "Everything is a choice, I simply made one but so did you. You could have stopped me, but you chose not to. I wonder what Letty thought about that." Cipher wraps the earphones around a phone as Dom walks around the desk to her.
"Dom," Gabby says in warning.
"The problem of putting your foot on a Tiger's neck is that you can never let it up," Dom says as he roughly grabs the arm of her chair, turning it to face him.
"I think I need to remind you why you chose to be here," Cipher says while glaring at Dom before the door behind Dom opens to reveal a guard. Dom follows the guard through the plane while Gabby is stuck with Cipher and Rhodes before they eventually leave the room, leaving Gabby alone. Which was a mistake on their part because Gabby was able to set her and Dom's escape plan into motion.
"Damn it, she wiped it all. Took God's eye," Little Nobody says after typing on a computer before glancing at Hobbs. "That was the one thing we could use to find him. We lost everything." Deckard is off to the side as he types on his own computer, having talked to one of his contacts about how to find Dom, Gabby, and Cipher.
"What do you got, princess?" Hobbs asks after Deckard's computer beeps.
"Finding Toretto," Deckard says as he glances at Hobbs before back at his computer. "But I've got a couple of minutes to spare. If you want me to send you to the hospital, again."
"Yo, Rules," Hobbs says as he looks at Little Nobody.
"First off, that's not my name," Little Nobody says as he turns to face Hobbs with a slight glare.
"Little Nobody," Rome suggests with a slight smirk.
"Don't call me that," Little Nobody tells him with a glare.
"Oh, that's definitely sticking," Tej says with a nod.
"Great, do me a favor, and tell your majesty over there, that if we're gonna find Toretto and my sister. We find Toretto and my sister together, as a team," Hobbs explains as Little Nobody looks at him before Hobbs looks over at Deckard. "And when this is all over, I'm happy to slap that whisker biscuit right off his face."
"Wait a minute, guys. I think Deckard's actually onto something," Ramsey says from her spot behind Deckard, where she had been looking at his computer. "How do you think Dom, Gabby, and Cipher got into the country without us knowing? Ghost flights."
"I thought untraceable aircraft was all internet conspiracy stuff," Tej says as he looks at Ramsey confused.
"It's not," Mr. Nobody says causing everyone to look at him. "Satellites and radar grids, all across the globe, shift like an ocean. And they've got channels that open and close. And theoretically, if you know the right people who know the right patterns."
"You can fly right through the blind's spots and can't be intercepted," Ramsey finishes explainging for Mr. Nobody.
"So you know where Dom and Gabby are headed?" Letty asks as she looks over at Deckard, who hits a button on the computer causing it to beep.
"Yeah, New York," Deckard answers her as he closes the computer before walking away.
"You see there Luke. You guys are gonna get along just great," Mr. Nobody says as he stands up before putting on his suit jacket. "Which proves, rule number two you never lose everything." Mr. Nobody speaks into a head set. "Fire up the chopper." Mr. Nobody turns back to the team. "Well, guys, have a ball in the Big Apple."
NEW YORK CITY
"Why are we traveling like this again?" Rome asks as they ride in the back of a fish truck.
"Because Dom and Gabby took God's Eye, so we need to stay off the grid," Tej answers him as he rolls his eyes.
"But like this?" Rome asks as the back door of the truck opens to reveal a fish market. "Look here, man. Before I throw up in my mouth, let me ask you, what are we doing here?"
"That's a good question, Roman," Little Nobody says as he leads the way through the fish market. "Let me show you." Little Nobody stops in front of a big door before glancing back at Rome. "Welcome to our new base of operations."
"No, seriously," Letty says in amazement as the door opens to reveal several sports cars. "What is this place?"
"This is heaven," Tej says as they look at the rows and rows of cars.
"It's the agency garage. They call it the toy shop," Hobbs explains before Little Nobody leads them inside.
"This is where we house every vehicle seized from drug dealers off the East coast. Now. Mr Nobody said if we're gonna have a chance of catching Dom and Gabby we're gonna have to be damn fast," Little Nobody explains before turning to face the team. "Figured this could help." Deckard walks over to a jeep before patting it on the hood. Tej and Rome check out a tank before Rome and Little Nobody argue over a neon orange car.
Dom is driving around New York City before he uses his foot to hit the button he had installed in the floor board of his car. The button causes the engine to start misfiring before Dom pulls over into an alley.
"What are you doing?" Cipher asks as Dom comes to a stop, since she is watching him and Gabby through a camera in the car.
"Engine's misfiring, I gotta check it out," Dom answers her as he glances at the camera in his car.
"No. That's not part of the plan, Dom," Cipher says as she starts to get an uneasy feeling.
"Clearly," Gabby says with an eye roll.
"But unless you want the engine to seize on the job..." Dom starts to explain.
"You both have five minutes. Get it done," Cipher says angrily before switching to God's eye to watch Dom and Gabby, who get out of his car. Dom holds up his hand as he mouths "five minutes" before he raises his hood causing Cipher to lose sight of him and Gabby. "I want another visual."
"I got an ATM," The man, using God's eye, tells her.
"I don't like this," Cipher says as a van slowly drives into view before backing up into the alley that they are using to watch Dom and Gabby from the ATM. Once the van is stopped, Dom and Gabby quickly walk away from his car. "I want to see Toretto and Hobbs."
"There are no more cameras," The man, using God's eye, tells her.
"Then find something! Punch in on something reflective. A car mirror, anything.." Cipher starts to panic since she can't see Dom and Gabby.
"Do you know who I am?" A woman says as Gabby and Dom sit in front of her, in a bar that has no cameras.
"That's why we're here," Gabby answers her with a smirk as the woman's guard walks up behind them.
"Do you know what I'm capable of?" The woman asks them as she grabs her cup of tea.
"It's why we're here," Dom answers her with a nod.
"I'll give you until I finish my cuppa. And I'm fucking thirsty," The woman says as she raises her cup before taking a drink.
"I got limited time, so won't take up too much of yours," Dom tells her with a nod of understanding.
"Oh no," The woman says as she shakes her head. "No, you've already taken everything I have of value, Mr. Toretto. What more could you possibly want?"
"To give you something back," Gabby says causing the woman to look at her in shock.
"Talk to me," Cipher orders her man as he continues to try to find Dom and Gabby. "Something's not right here."
"First time I saw my son was behind a bulletproof glass. When he reached for me, I couldn't hold him," Dom explains causing the woman to lower her glass. "It's the worst pain I ever felt. I know you know exactly how that feels. Maybe we could change that."
"Now why do I think you're about to suggest something really dodgy, Mr. Toretto," The woman says with a raised eyebrow. Dom sets a wristband on the table before sliding it towards her.
"It's why we're here," Gabby says with a smirk.
"Jesus, punch in on something. I'm not liking this. Something is not right," Cipher orders as she continues to panic. "Rhodes, you close?"
"Yeah," Rhodes responds since he is in New York as well.
"Go," Cipher orders him.
"The delivery truck is moving," The guy with God's eye tells her as the van pulls out of the alley to reveal Dom closing his hood. Dom holds up a burnt spark plug to the camera as he mouthes "I know" before he and Gabby get into his car as he hits the same button causing his car to go back to normal.
Rome is listening the police scanners as Ramsey sits in front of him on her computer. Letty sits beside the car, that she had picked, as she works on a harpoon gun. Hobbs is going through Deckard's file before walking over to Deckard, who is working on a car.
"Captain Deckard Shaw," Hobbs says as he stops in front of Deckard, who glances at him. Hobbs starts to read one of the papers. "Distinguished himself by acts of gallantry at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. His bold actions saved the lives of hostages and his teammates. Recommendation: Victoria Cross." Hobbs looks away from the paper to Deckard, who is still working on the car. "Highest honor the British Government has ever given... To a traitor. Something about this whole thing just doesn't add up to me."
"Well, that would be the same kind of funny math that says a DSS agent who has a Silver Star for valor stole an EMP. Sound familiar, huh?" Deckard explains to him with a small smirk.
"Wanna give me a hand?" Hobbs asks as he stands next to part of the car. Deckard nods before standing on the other side. "On three?" Deckard nods again as Hobbs counts before they pick the piece of the car up, setting it on a small table.
"You know, twinkle toes. In another life, I bet me and you could've caused some serious damage," Deckard says as he looks at Hobbs.
"Yeah, we could have," Hobbs says as he finds himself actually agreeing with Deckard.
"Yeah," Deckard says as he nods his head. "Shame I'll have to bounce your head off the fender when this is all over."
"Ah well, with all due respect, Captain, when this whole thing is over, we're gonna find a location, and I'm gonna knock your teeth so far down your throat that you're gonna have to stick a toothbrush right up your ass to brush them," Hobbs explains as they glare at each other for a moment before they both bust out laughing.
