Reckless
The wooden floors creaked tiredly under Taehyung's weight as he meandered along the sea-blasted deck of the beach bar.
It was empty.
Except for the small shaggy-haired girl in a buttoned-down shirt and denim cut-offs who darted around, half-hidden behind the counter.
The warmth of fondness filled his chest as he watched her curls fall into her eyes and around her face as she appeared briefly above the level of the counter. She shook her head and blew a small puff of air moving a few strands out of her eyes then disappeared again, muttering and counting to herself on one hand before quickly scribbling something down on a piece of paper.
He shook his head in awe at the fact that she hadn't noticed his arrival.
Silly girl.
Taehyung smiled to himself all the while. Realising that he liked her more and more every time he saw her.
Desiree's careless nature was undeniably endearing and this made Taehyung feel somehow, like he had a purpose.
Why, if he weren't around who was going to look after her?
"I missed you," He snuck up from behind, wrapping both strong arms gently around her supple frame. The familiar deep baritone of his voice reaching the girl's ears as he breathed into her hair, savouring her sweet scent.
Taehyung closed his eyes and sighed, pulling her closer against him, causing delightful goosebumps to spring up along Desiree's bare arms.
The girl giggled.
"Tae, you nearly frightened me!"
"I'm sorry," He apologised, smiling and capturing the heat of her mouth with his.
Taehyung kissed Des hurriedly, twirling her around to face him, his hands roving her entire body as he pressed her up against the rustic bar-top.
Not giving the girl any time to think, he grabbed her gently by the thighs, enjoying the feeling of her warm skin beneath his palms. He put her up on the counter top, his fingers fiddling with the buttons of her shirt.
"Tae, wait!" Des whimpered.
But the girl's soft opposition was no match for the heated passion of her mate.
He needed to feel good. He needed to forget. He needed her.
"Des...." Taehyung moaned, dragging soft kisses up and down her neck.
Throaty gasps escaped Desiree as the heat of Taehyung's lips teased and tantalised the expanse of her now bare skin since he had her first few buttons already swiftly undone. His silky, blonde head tickled her chin as he dipped down further to have his lips and heated tongue traverse the mounds of her breasts.
"Do you love me?" He commanded breathlessly, "I need you to tell me.."
"I do. Of course I love you, baby but..."
"But what!?" Taehyung shouted all of a sudden, pulling away. He glowered, his greater height towering over Desiree's petite frame. The young girl shivered in surprise. This time, he had indeed scared her.
"But what?" Taehyung demanded, this time much more quietly, his voice breaking with emotion. Staring right at her, Desiree swallowed as she saw tears gathering in the young man's eyes.
Her heart responded without hesitation, feeling his pain instantly. Seeing him hurt made her hurt too.
"N-nothing. Its...I just don't think we should do this here. That's all." Desiree explained in a small voice.
Taehyung kept his eyes low, remaining silent.
"Is everything, ok?" Her eyes searched his as she wove her arms lovingly around his neck, hoping to make everything better, stroking the hairs there at at his nape tenderly.
Taehyung shook his head rigorously in affirmation that he was okay but Des could see the spark of distress in his eyes.
He was upset. He was hiding something, she could tell even though she didn't know what had caused it.
"I love you, Tae. You know that." She grabbed his face between her small hands, making him look her in the eyes, "How can I make it up to you?" She simpered running her fingers through the soft strands of his hair.
Taehyung looked down at her, tasting the salt in the air that wafted in from the beach, letting it fill his lungs.
He exhaled slowly.
And that's when the thoughtless idea snuck into his mind. Rebellion rose up inside of the young man's heart.
He would live of his own free will, be who and do whatever the hell he wanted!
"Let's get out of here.." He announced suddenly.
"Right now?" Des asked nervously.
Taeyung nodded, his mischievous grin returning anew.
"Where?" She questioned, bright eyes shining into his, clearly bewildered- Taehyung knowing that she would do what he wished anyway. Asking was just a mere courtesy.
"I'll show you..." He grinned handsomely and Desiree saw the wild roguish flash in his gaze that she was used to. It swallowed up the pained and desperate person she had witnessed only a mere moment ago and in an instant, he took her by the hand, dragging her from the beach bar.
Des didn't have time to lock up as she normally would. Instead leaving the inner gate unsecured and only closing the clumsy padlock to the main exit as the only means of security.
It would be enough, she thought.
Nothing bad ever really happened in Long Palm and everyone knew Desiree's father. The town had an unspoken respect for the humble business man. Everyone residing in the sleepy beach-town was well aware that he worked extremely hard. His tireless hours of sacrifice undoubtedly responsible for providing so many memories, celebrating countless local birthdays, important gatherings, and was a go-to place for everyone's special occasions.
She would come by tomorrow morning just to check up on the place for peace of mind but everything should be ok.
Des scrambled to keep up with Taehyung's long strides until he came to a halt at his car. Pulling the door of his blue sedan open and popping her in like a rag-doll.
They drove and drove until the marina came into view.
An impressive fleet of luxury vessels lined the shore.
Desiree took a hold of Taehyung's hand, squeezing and he held it fast over the partition of the gearbox as the pair remained seated in the front seat looking out.
"Tae, why are we here?" Des asked, her large eyes settling on him in uncertainty.
He leaned his flaxen head against the head rest, dark eyes sliding over her already with desire. He tucked a plush lower lip between his teeth before grinning widely.
"Just relax, babygirl. Just think of this as my treat."

A/N: So...toxic TaeTae has entered the chat. I know he is not treating Des very fairly in this chapter. I am by no means glorifying toxic relationships but dynamics like this do often happen in real life for many guys and girls. I'm just keeping it real with ya'll! lol Let's give these two a chance to learn and grow into having a balanced relationship in the future...maybe? Do they even have a future? Hmmm..... we'll see.
🌴 I hope you enjoyed x 🌴
