Natsu's POV

~Timeskip~ Next Day (Foundation)

  I woke up feeling happy and energetic today. I don't know why, but i'm currently on a good mood. Just like how i feel way back, goofy, cheerful and childish. Your probably confused by now. Truth is, i'm not the same Natsu i used to be before..

  Well.. You see, way back i'm not like this, serious and smart. To tell you the truth, i'm a complete idiot. But i changed when i reached the age of 10. Lisanna, my first love, needed to leave and migrate to a far away town due to his father's job. Since then, i changed. I focused on studying that i forgot to have fun.

  By the time Lisanna returned, i was already 15 years old. Of course i was happy, but my goofy personality didn't return. It seems hard to change back to that carefree personality. Maybe it was due to experience.

  I don't know why but i'm starting to think other wise. Since i met Lucy, i started to have fun again. With the constant teasing and playing, i feel like my old self again. Thanks to her, i feel like i'm starting to change back. I don't know what she did to me, but i'm always looking forward to see her. Sure, i'm happy and all when i'm with Lisanna. But i feel way different towards Lucy. I feel happier, secured, thankful, glad and protective of her. My heart beats fast when i'm with Lisanna but it beats faster when i'm with Lucy. I feel an uneasy feeling on my stomach when i'm with Lisanna but i feel butterflies whenever i'm with Lucy.

  I don't understand why but i feel more needed and comfortable when i'm with her. I really love to tease her and play pranks on her because she would easily get mad at me. Not like when i do it to Lisanna, she would just laugh and say it alright. And i don't know why but i always want to be with Lucy. Is it possible that i'm inlove with Lucy? And what i'm feeling about Lisanna is just a simple crush?

  Putting aside my thoughts, i lazily got out off bed. I texted Lucy immediately.

  Hey Luce, i'll fetch you at 7 am.

  I looked at my alarm clock to see that it's only 6:15 am. Enough time to prepare, i thought with a grin. I hurriedly got dressed on my uniform and went downstairs to eat breakfast.

  "Morning, Natsu-san" Wendy greeted me with a smile. She's wearing the same uniform as me since we go to the same school. I'm a junior student while she's just a freshman. I quickly got seated on my chair across her, immediately munching on the waffles beautifully plated infront of me.

  "Good Morning, son. You seem to be in a good mood today." Dad asked.

  "Yeah, i had slept well last night." I said with a toothy grin. Dad looked at me, rather shock. So did Mom and Wendy.

  "Huh? What?" Gulping down the traces of food on my throat, i asked them completely confused and clueless.

  "Oh, nothing. It's just that this is the first time that we saw you smile like that for years." Mom said with a tender smile.

  "Huh? Is it a bad thing?" I questioned them, only to receive 'no's' and chuckles.

  "No, son. It's actually a good thing. Tell us, who is the reason behind that smile of yours?" Dad asked. I looked taken back by his question. Was this guy for real?

  "It's Lucy-san, isn't it?" Wendy asked. As of cue, my face heat up.

  "What?!" I exclaimed, still blushing madly.

  "So, she is the reason since you didn't denied it." Mom said. I just glared at Wendy while she giggled in response.

  After eating breakfast, i bid them goodbye and hurriedly ran to Lucy's mansion. Asking why i didn't bring my car? Well, i really wanted to walk to school since it's near.

  I reached her mansion in less than 10 minutes. Her home is not really that far from ours. It's actually just walking distance. The guards willingly opened the enormous gates for me. I entered their humongous mansion without any second thought nor hesitations.

  "I'll be taking my leave now!" Yelled a very sweet voice. As of cue, Lucy exited her mansion and greeted me with a smile. I just grinned back, showing off my pearly set of teeth.

  "So, what's up with you today? You seem different." She accused, narrowing her brown eyes at me.

  "Huh?" I asked her, completely confused.

  "I mean, you seem to be in a good mood. And your grinning. Actually, this is the first time i saw you smile like that." She pointed out while placing a finger on her chin.

  "What? Is it wrong to smile?"

  "No, its just you seem awfully different today. You look cheerful. This is the first time I saw this side of yours. I guess i'm just not used to it."

  "Don't you like it?" I said pouting like a kid.

  "No,.actually i like every side of yours. Serious, Protective and Childish." She said with a smile. I felt a blush on my face.

  "Let's just drop the topic. We will be late." i said.
