Each entry will be rated on a 50/40 point scale. We will be judging your entries using the following criteria - 

For all genres except poetry (Out of 50 points) - 

Plot (20 points)

The main events of the story arranged in a cohesive sequence.

Character Development/Blurb of the story (10 points)

Character development - The change in the protagonist of the story from start to finish.

Blurb - A short summary of your story which is written in the 'Description'. (For books which have few chapters)

Language (10 points)

Use of proper English grammar and punctuation to convey the meaning of your story to the readers.

Book Cover Appeal (5 points)

The cover of the book should be appropriate to the theme/plot of the story.

Overall (5 points)

The judge's opinion on how he/she liked the book.

For poetry (Out of 40) - 

Book Cover Appeal (5 points)

The cover of the book should be appropriate to the theme/plot of the story.

Language (20 points)

Use of figure of speech and literary devices.

Theme (10 points)

The main purpose of the collection of poems.

Overall (5 points)

The judge's opinion on how he/she liked the book.
