The brothers taught the pups how to fire themselves out of the cannon. Then they were off to DK Island, home of Donkey Kong. Luckily for the group, Alternexis hadn't been there yet, so it was a quick walk to the Kong's hut.

"I'm-a glas your island hasn't been-a changed yet, DK." Mario said to his friend.

"Ha-hou." DK answered.

"Heee-oouuh!" Diddy Kong, DK's nephew, said.

"O.K. We got the Kongs, who's next?" Rocky asked.

"Now we head-a to a place called-a Tiki Island. I've never-a heard of a hero-a living there. Have-a you, Luigi?" Mario said.

"Nope." Luigi said, shaking his head.

Tiki Island wasn't far from DK Island, so it didn't take long for the group to arrive on its sandy shores.

"Alright, we-a need..." Mario began, but was cut off by a rumbling that shook the ground.

"Dudes, we got company." Zuma said as a cloud of dust hurried toward them.

By the time it got there, the heroes could see what had made it. The cloud was Alternexis' monster dog minions who were sent out to capture all heroes.

"Alright, no one move; we have you surrounded!" The leader said. "Now, either come with us peacefully, or you can come in pieces!"

"How about-a neither!" Mario said and charged straight at the leader, with DK right behind him. After a quick and easy battle, the evil dogs were retreating; however, their leader stopped and yelled back to the group.

"Alternexis has already enslaved half of this island anyway. Good luck finding help here, bu ha ha!"

"Then we had better move quickly, Mario." Chase said.

The ally they searched for was the mighty Zuma, an ancient stone frog who had bested challenging glass tiki balls and golden skulls. He had freed the island from the evil tiki totem,  Zahka Mu. But, the same tikis still roamed the island, which would make it very difficult to find the frog; yet, they had to try.

"Ptooey! Bleh! Why do-a jungles have to-a have so many plants?" Luigi wondered aloud as he spat out some leaves.

"Mmm... I don't know, they're kinda tasty." Marshall commented.

"You'wre a dog, dude. Lots of things awre tasty to us." Zuma, the pup, said.

Suddenly, a loud voice shouted from behimd them.

"Stop! None may pass here, unless the medizine man, Maga Maga, says so. Which I don't."

"I'm guessing that's the medizine man known as Maga Maga." Rocky said and rolled his eyes.

"What's a medizine man?" Rubble asked.

"A witch doctor." Rocky told him. "They cast spells and make potions."

"I said you may not pass!" Maga Maga shouted again, and used his staffs to fire two magic beams at the group.

"Duck!" "Jump!" The brothers told everyone as the blasts buzzed by.

"I'll get him. I'm a super pup, like Apollo." Rubble said, and threw a stone at the tiki.

A "chinfzz" sounded, then the witch doctor tiki laughed and said, "As long as my slave tikis stand, nothing shall harm me." Then two small tikis appeared from the bushes.

"Well, I tried." Rubble said with a shrug.

"So, I guess we have to remove those two smaller tikis in order to hurt him, huh? But what can we get them with? There aren't enough... whoa!" Rocky said as a ball flew past him and removed a tiki.

"Who did that? ¿Quien hizo eso?" Tracker asked.

"Ribbit!" Was the answer.

"Hey! Its the Zuma guy, frog... thing. Whatever he is." Marshall said.

"Thank you very much-a, frog." Mario said.

"Ribbit!" He said again and got to work fighting the tiki. Just before the Zuma could land the last hit on Maga Maga, more tikis came from the deep jungle and joined him; each one a boss fought by the Zuma.

"I see you met my newest minions, and they don't like you or that frog at all. Ahh ha ha!" Alternexis said as he appeared out of the shadows. "Now then, either come with me or you can say 'goodbye' right now. It's your choice... heroes!" He grinned evilly as he awaited their answer.

"Oh! Mamma mia! Lets a-go again!" Mario said sadly. They all headed to their next destination as fast as they could. The next stop was the distant Planet Popstar.

"Get them." Alternexis told some of his guards, and they began to run after the friends.

A short time later, the band had crossed the entire island searching for the way to travel to Popstar. They were slowed when Alternexis' soldiers finally caught up with them.

"What are we gonna do now, Mario?" Rubble asked.

"Now, we are-a gonna see how-a good you pups are-a at-a fighting. Let's a-go!" Mario said and threw each pup a power. Then, the battle began!
