Narrator:Now that Nikolai has been given an assignment, what will he do at the rehabilitation center?

*Nikolai walked towards the rehabilitation center, and wondered around*

Nikolai(mind):So this is where I'm supposed to meet the criminals? Where where am I supposed to go?

???:"Excuse me."

Nikolai:"Huh?"

*A girl with short black hair, and wearing glasses over her blue eyes, approached Nikolai*

???:"Can I ask what you're here for, sir?"

Nikolai:"Oh, Syuen ordered me to be the new counselor. Is this where the three Nikke Criminals are?"

???:"Ah, yes. You must be Nikolai. My name is Mana, and I'm in charge of this center."

Nikolai:"I see."

Mana:"The criminals are held up deep within the center, so they can't escape. I'll take you to the counselor's room."

*Nikolai followed Mana into a black room, in the room was a table with three files on it*

Mana:"These are the three criminals, and they're charges."

*Nikolai looked at the pictures of the three prisoners again*

Mana:"Inmate 13-0803, her name is Guilty. Her crime is aggravated assault, she possesses far greater strength than any Nikke or human, she damaged up to 40 allied Nikke with just her bare hands."

Nikolai(mind):Whoa! Wait, seriously?! I guess that's why she's all tied up like that. Also, her name is Guilty?!

Mana:"Inmate 13-1070, her name is Quency. Her crime is petty theft, however her sentence kept escalating because of her many successful escape attempts, no matter what facility she enters, she always finds a way out."

Nikolai(mind):Huh...she doesn't seem that bad, maybe a little sneaky, but nothing harmful at least.

Mana:"Lastly, inmate 14-0282, Her name is Sin. Her crime is mind controlling. She can hypnotize any Nikke or human into working for her from just her voice, other counselors have fallen victim to her mind controlling to attempt to get her out, but luckily we're caught before she could be released."

Nikolai(mind):What?! Mind control?! Ok, that seems way out of my depth here. Wait, even with a mask like that, she's still able to mind control people?! Damn it, Syuen! She knew I couldn't do this.

Nikolai:"Guess we'll start with the probably the easiest one. Her name's Quency, right?"

Mana:"I see, you also chose Quency first."

Nikolai(mind):Oh, I almost forgot about that paper that said about the previous successful commander. Should I say something about that?

Mana:"We'll bring you to the counseling room. Right this way."

*Mana and Nikolai leave the black room, and arrive at another room. There was a large one-way window on the wall, on the other side was Quency*

Nikolai:"So that's the room I'm going in?"

Mana:"Correct, your first session together will be recorded, in case anything happens."

Nikolai(mind):'Anything happens'?! Great, I feel a lot worse now.

Nikolai:"Can I enter the room now?"

Mana:"Of course, right through here."

*Mana pointed towards a door that leads to the room with Quency inside. Nikolai gets up and headed towards the door*

Mana:"Wait, Nikolai. I have some last minute advice for you."

Nikolai:"Ok."

Mana:"Don't give up, no matter how Quency acts towards counseling."

*Nikolai nodded, and opened the door. He entered the door, and shockingly saw nobody there*

Nikolai(mind):Huh? Wasn't Quency here from the other room? Did she escape? Now what?!

???:"So you're the new Counselor?"

*Nikolai turned around, and saw Quency standing in front of him*

Nikolai:"Whoa! Where'd you come from?!"

Quency:"Huh? What do you mean? I've been standing behind you since you entered the room."

Nikolai:"R-Really?"

Nikolai(mind):I didn't hear her footsteps behind me or anything.

Quency:"My bad, let's start over then. My name's Quency."

Nikolai:"I'm Nikolai Rolan. I've been assigned as your new counselor."

Quency:"Great...what makes you different from the other ones?"

Nikolai:"Huh?"

Quency:"The other counselors, what makes you think that you can do better than them?"

Nikolai:"..."

Nikolai(mind):How am I supposed to answer that? I'm a rookie commander, and I've never done any counseling before either.

Nikolai:"I guess...it's stubbornness."

Nikolai(mind):If anything, I never know when to give up.

Quency:"Hmm, maybe. Another thing you have is cluelessness."

*Quency pulls out a wallet*

Nikolai:"Huh? Isn't that my-"

Quency:"Yep, while I was standing behind you, I just simply snatched it."

*She tossed it back to Nikolai*

Quency:"Don't worry, I haven't taken any money. Means nothing to me anyway."

Nikolai(mind):A thief who doesn't care about money?

Quency:"Still think I'm worth helping?"

Nikolai:"Of course."

Quency:"Really? I thought I scared you with stealing your wallet."

Nikolai:"But you said you didn't take any money, right?"

*Nikolai opened his wallet, and checked every pocket*

Nikolai:"All of my cards are still there, not even a dollar is missing, and still have my spare change in there."

Quency:"And?"

Nikolai:"You choose not to take my money. If your escaping abilities are as amazing as I'm told, you could've left this place easily."

Quency:"Ok, but I never said I could get out of here. I'm not that good of an escape artist, I definitely can't escape this place."

Nikolai(mind):I doubt that. There's no way that this room is harder to break out of than a highly-secured prison.

Quency:"Even if I could break out of here, why should I still be here? Why should I be taking these dumb counselings? Go on, tell me."

Nikolai(mind):All of the answers I can think of right now are all theories. Maybe she wants to better herself? Or maybe she has a reason to still be in jail?

Nikolai:"I don't have a clear answer right now. However, I promise. I will find out sooner or later though, and I will help you."

Quency:"You counselors are all the same. You really should just give up."

Nikolai:"I sorry to disappoint, but you're going to be hearing those a lot from me if you are willing to continue these sessions with me."

Quency:"Oh, I think you've been getting the wrong idea, buddy. I never leave my sessions, the counselors do. They always say that they'll help me and get me out of the center, but they ultimately give up."

Nikolai:"Well, maybe this counselor in front of you is different."

Quency:"...Heh, alright then. I guess we'll see if you really are different."

Nikolai:"I look forward to working with you."

Quency:"This ain't a work space, but fine. I'll be in your care. Oh, I guess that's it for our session. Mister...Nikolai, am I right?"

Nikolai:"That's correct, thank you for your time Quency."

*Nikolai went to leave the door, but heard Quency whispering under her breath*

Quency:"That stubbornness reminds of him...man, here we go again."

Nikolai(mind):Huh? Was she talking about the other Commander? I guess they still remember him...wait, then why are they back in rehabilitation if he managed to free them before?

*Nikolai exited the room, and closed the door*

Nikolai(mind):That was...a little easier than I expected. All it took was a little bit of mind games, and it entertained her. Maybe I can actually do this.

*Nikolai reported back to Mana, and left for the day. He went back to his dorm, and immediately went to sleep*

Narrator:That was Nikolai's first day of being a counselor. Will he be able to fix Quency, find out in the next episode.

Hey bros, it's me, the author! So...I decided to do Quency first, when I haven't finished her rehabilitation in the game yet. I wanted to do Guilty first, but I also wanted to make it seem like difficulty stages; start off with the easy problem, then a harder one, and then the hardest one. Anyway, time to talk about how I'm doing in the game so far: The Half Anniversary Event literally just started a few hours ago, and I'm shockingly underprepared...I just hope I get Dorothy somehow. I've also finished chapter 9 and 10 of the main story, I don't really have much to say about them, so...I'm going to do the meme of the week now:
