Narrator:Now that Nikolai finished his second mission, he decided to head back to the rehabilitation center the next day.

*Nikolai entered the rehabilitation center, and ran into Mana*

Nikolai:"Good morning, Mana."

Mana:"Morning, Nikolai. Have you decided to give Quency another try?"

Nikolai:"I'm just going for another day of rehabilitation."

Mana:"Very well."

*Nikolai went and entered the rehabilitation room, and saw nobody in the room*

Nikolai(mind):Hmm...I guess Quency is late. No matter, I will wait as long as I can.

*About an hour has passed, and Quency still hasn't showed up yet*

Nikolai(mind):Ok, I'm not going to be here all day, damn it!

*Nikolai searched the room, and found another tunnel in a different spot than last time. However, he hesitated to enter the tunnel*

Nikolai:"..."

Nikolai(mind):Going after Quency like this...is this a good idea? I'm trying to earn her respect, and get her to trust me. To do that, I'm gonna have to wait here, even if it takes all day.

*Nikolai sat back down in a chair, and waited for another few hours*

Nikolai:"So...hungry..."

Nikolai(mind):It's almost dusk, and I haven't eaten anything today...I tried getting Rapi or anyone else to get me something to eat, but they're not allowed in the center...but Quency could walk in when I'm gone...I have to stay here...

Nikolai:"No matter...what..."

*Nikolai collapsed in his chair, and his vision got blurry*

Nikolai:"Ugh...Quency..."

???:"Hmm...huh? C-Counselor?! What are you doing here?!"

*Nikolai couldn't see who was talking to him, and his hearing started to sound distorted*

???:"Counselor! No...not again!"

*Nikolai passed out in the counseling room*

Nikolai:"..."

*He opened his eyes, and saw himself on a hospital bed. He was surrounded by hospital equipment, and saw a familiar face greet him*

Pepper:"You're awake. Commander Nikolai, right?"

Nikolai(mind):The nice hospital lady? What is she doing here? Where is here?

Nikolai:"Ugh...What-"

Pepper:"Please don't move, my higher-up is tending to you right now."

Nikolai:"Who?"

*Nikolai looked around, and saw a black haired woman towering over him*

Mary:"Goodness. You are fairly new commander, yes?"

Nikolai:"Yes...what happened?"

Mary:"You passed out due to a mixture of starvation and dehydration. Don't worry, you've only been out for a whole night."

Nikolai:"I passed out? What was I-"

*Nikolai remembered that he was waiting for Quency*

Nikolai:"The rehabilitation center, I need to get back there!"

Mana:"I'm afraid you won't be going there anymore."

Nikolai:"Huh?"

*Nikolai saw Mana sitting next to him*

Nikolai:"What you do mean?"

Mana:"You were Quency's last chance. After the old commander's close attempt, I thought you would be the same."

Nikolai:"Close attempt? I thought it said that Quency was successfully rehabilitated once."

Mana:"That file is only to stop Syuen from worrying. Quency was never rehabilitated."

Nikolai:"No way..."

Mana:"Quency will be sent back into solitary confinement now. There would be no way for her to escape."

Nikolai:"Solitary confinement? But she didn't do anything wrong."

Mana:"She endangered your life, so she's have to take responsibility for that."

Nikolai:"But she didn't hurt me-"

Mana:"It's already been done. Your rehabilitation plan with Quency has been terminated."

Nikolai:"Wait, no. Give me another chance."

Mana:"I can't do that."

Nikolai:"No..."

Nikolai(mind):Damn it...if I can't deal with Quency, how the hell am I going to deal with the other two I need to rehabilitate?!

*Nikolai sulked in his hospital bed, as Mana left*

Nikolai:"I failed..."

*Nikolai got released from the hospital, and head back to his dorm*

Nikolai:"Damn it, Syuen's gonna kill me!"

*Nikolai laid down on his bed, and sighed*

???:"Ow!"

*Nikolai suddenly heard someone within the vents of his dorm*

Nikolai:"H-Hello?"

???:"Ah! You didn't hear anything, counselor. Pretend that I'm not here."

Nikolai:"Huh? W-Wait, Quency?!"

Quency:"Shh...oh, nobody's in here, so I guess it's good."

*Quency smoothly breaks through the vent in Nikolai's dorm, and Nikolai gets off his bed*

Nikolai:"What are you doing here?"

Quency:"Not important, why did you stay that long for our meeting?! You know you could've just left and come back, right?"

Nikolai:"But you probably would've thought I left you there, so I refused myself to leave."

Quency:"But you stayed until you passed out, are you that persistent?!"

Nikolai:"Yep."

*Quency stood there in silence, and then started chuckling*

Quency:"I never had anyone that desperate to have a meeting with me."

Nikolai:"Does that mean I earned your respect?"

Quency:"Hmm...for now."

*Nikolai let out a sigh of relief*

Nikolai:"Heh...I guess it was worth it then."

Quency:"I would say passing out for my respect is certainly not worth it."

Nikolai:"Well to me it is."

Quency:"Jeez..."

*Quency went back into the vent*

Quency:"I'll see you around, Nikolai."

Nikolai:"Breaking out of solitary confinement that easily? Your skills are something different."

Quency:"Thanks."

*Quency fell through the vents, and escaped the dorm*

Nikolai:"I didn't mean it as a complement...ugh, whatever."

Nikolai(mind):Does that mean I failed my task, or succeeded? I'll just say 'task failed successfully' then.

*Nikolai realized it was already midnight, and went to sleep. The next morning, he was called into Andersen's office. He was holding a certificate, with a troubled looking on his face.*

Andersen:"Commander Nikolai. How did you do this?"

Nikolai:"Huh? What are you talking about?"

*Andersen handed Nikolai the certificate. It was a contract to have Quency available as a member of Nikolai's squad*

Nikolai:"No way...this is Quency's contract?! I didn't think she had one because of her being a criminal."

Andersen:"Your questions are as good as mine, but I guess I'll approve it."

Nikolai:"Really?! Alright! I'll sign this immediately!"

*Nikolai grabbed a pen, and signed the contract*

Andersen:"I'll have to send this to Mana."

Nikolai:"Did she know about this?"

Andersen:"Nope, this contract suddenly appeared on my desk after I left my office last night."

Nikolai(mind):Then that was all Quency's doing then, huh...she really wants to be part of my squad that badly?

*Nikolai handed the contract to Andersen, and headed back to his dorm*

Nikolai:"Alright! Now I have the best escape artist in the world on my side!"

Nikolai(mind):That reminds me, I should attempt another rehabilitation when I next visit there. If I remember correctly, the two remaining girls are Guilty and Sin. Guilty was charged for assault, and has overwhelming strength. Sin has plenty of charges, and has the ability to mind control people with her voice.

Nikolai:"Mind control is beyond my capabilities, so I guess Guilty would be my next rehabilitation attempt."

Nikolai(mind):I've got a bad feeling about her though, I guess I'll have to see what I'm dealing with when I meet her.

*Nikolai got ready for the day and headed to the outpost*

Hey bros, it's me, the author. I have finally completed the first Rehabilitation side-story, but now I'm gonna have to do the other ones later down the line...oh well, onto my status in-game. I have finished chapters 13 & 14, and it made me cry. I also finished the new event stages, both normal and hard. And just when I lost hope of me not getting Rosanna, I got her after I farmed gems from every EX stage I left in the campaign, worth it though. And with that, here's the meme of the week:
