Eye of The Beholder
Bright eyes, burning like flame in the abyss
Looking beyond the twilight's crimson threads
Beneath a peach tree whose leaves in silent sigh
Before a spray of stars came forth to light the way
Woe to those bright eyes! The chocolate-like eyes
Always there forevermore with unfathomable passion
The eyes of a soldier, a mother, a child, a poet
Hungry for wisdom and truth. The eyes of everyone
Bright eyes, looking to the Land of the Lustrous
Their lips are sealed, their hands so cold and feeble
Only silence reigns between the blackened hills
And red rivers filled with the blood of non-beings
Woe to those non-beings! The last of their kind
Lost to the tides of conflicts that bind this earth
Into oblivion. Broken and unspoken, forevermore
Each gurgle of blood become a thousand laments
Bright eyes, how can you close so easily and fail?
Even when your throat explodes with shards of glass
That light never falter while your noble soul fall asleep
How can the light that burned so brightly ...
... suddenly burn so pale?
