Stairs are hard,
to climb to the top,
they are so far,
you can't just stop,

Life is based on,
the ups and downs,
stairs go down and,
rise way high,

One step is a struggle,
two steps mean trouble,
going down is a pain,
the past is nothing but your bane,

You can't forget,
when you're on the stairs,

the past behind you,
full of pain,
the future ahead of you,
all insane,
unknown and strange,

The only way out,
is to move up,
forget what was down,
just look up.
