The Crying Eagle
Loud and clear,
I hear
When the eagle beats down on Earth,
wings so gold,
they shimmer the sky,
talons so great,
swords of Kings,
cannot relate,
Heavy breathing,
seldom breaths,
you see me,
through your golden eyes
Whispers of winds,
tell me tales,
of your defeat,
with a sparrow,
of size
A laugh I take,
a cry you give,
I giggle deep,
within my mound
Sprouting there and here,
to see if you're around,
sad you sit,
frowns on cards,
you don't make a move,
when on ground
Guilty I feel,
I turn to you,
of a mouse for dessert,
in exchange for a shrieking bird,
petty sets on,
I can't play along
I turn to you and say,
what's wrong,
you turn to me,
with baby eyes,
water full,
about to cry
You say so deeply,
a rumor has set on,
the Golden Sky,
that a sparrow has won him,
all in a heartbeat of a race
I try to respect,
I try to look straight,
but you know I can't,
I laughed so loud,
the ground bellowed loud,
'Is this a joke, I hear',
I cry from loud
'No',
the Golden Sky declared
I turn to,
the feathers of gushy brown,
slowly smearing in the mud
I sigh with grief,
and say with relief,
'If it makes you feel better,
I said those words,
Why,
well I was hungry for a rat,
and mole wanted a spat,
so I gave him one,
awful to you,
grateful for me'
The Eagle still crying,
didn't dare to stop,
till. . . .
The small, little fox came so calmly,
to the crying beast,
sat so bravely,
and wrapped it's arms barely around him
A giggle so deep,
broke the cries,
the fox of tales,
turn to see,
a bird of anger,
blending on him
Scramming the fox went,
with golden feathers at his tail. . . .
Don't forget to shine the star!!
