Chapter-13 Shifting Colors
Deathbringer didn't sleep that night. He had slept for the whole day.
He just walked in circles around the royal pavilion, and wondered if the others were reading their scrolls already.
What did Glory write on them?
Is there something important on them?
Should I read mine?
What if she told Darkstalker to enchant mine?
Ok now I'm just going crazy!
He sighed deeply and walked out of the pavilion, he needed some fresh air.
He didn't fly far, for he figured that if anything happened again he should be closer to the village.
Two moons were out now, the second about three fourths in. The night stars shining as bright as fire.
The Nightwing assasin felt better already, his stretched muscles thanked him inwardly. He realized that he hadn't done much as a ruler. But there were too many things to do. Thinking about it only made him feel lazy.
There were letters to send to the other tribes, news to be announced to the village, and then he remembered Jambu.
He hadn't come back.
Once the night was gone and the sun rose and set again, it would be over for Glory's talon. He had one day left, and Deathbringer hadn't received any news of him.
He could only hope Jambu flew fast enough for the ice to make it.
All of a sudden, he saw a dark silhouette fly out of the trees. It was a Nightwing, nothing to be worried about, he thought.
He kept on flying the whole night. Not once stopping to take a break. It really did help him clear his mind. All his thoughts now had a place, and he knew what he would do next.
Deathbringer would go get Tsunami to go see Glory, and once he dropped her off, he would go pick up her other friends and take them to the hut.
Easy as catching a leg bound cow.
As he saw the sun peeking through the horizon, he started to fly back to where the guest huts were.
He already had a greeting made up in his head, when he realized that the Seawing princess wasn't in her hut.
"Tsunami? Hey are you in here?"
He got no response.
Perhaps she went to sleep with one of her friends.
He walked out of the hut and flew towards Clay's hut.
The huts were relatively close, so there wasn't much flying involved.
The Mudwing was asleep on the leaves that were used as bedding. And if Deathbringer looked closely, he could almost see the edge of a scroll sticking out from his clasped talons.
He walked over and gently shook Clay's shoulder.
"Clay, wake up Tsunami's gone."
At once the big dragon aroused from his sleep and was ready for action.
"She's gone? But how? Maybe she's with Sunny," he said a little groggily.
So Nightwing and Mudwing went to wake up Starflight and Fatespeaker, who had similar reactions to Clay's.
The party then went to Sunny's hut, which for some reason was a little bit further than the rest.
The little Sandwing was as shocked as them.
"She'll probably turn up sooner or later, Glory and her did fight, but they were really close,"said Sunny nervously.
"Can we go see Glory? I think it's time that she sees us," asked Starflight.
Deathbringer nodded and flew off towards the healer's hut. This was his millionth time visiting the hut, but he would do anything for Glory.
No one was shocked to see Tsunami there. Where else could she have gone to anyway?
As soon as Clay's talons had touched the floor, Tsunami woke up with a growl on her throat. Her body tense but ready to fight, and her claws were already in killer mode.
Everyone backed away from her except Glory. Who couldn't move obviously.
Realization seemed to dawn on her a few moments later.
The royal Seawing squinted her bloodshot eyes at the sun, which was rising and was hitting her face directly.
"I'm sorry guys it's just that...someone tried to kill Glory last night and I couldn't leave her alone," Tsunami said bluntly.
Deathbringer's body stiffened at the news.
It had to have been Destinyseeker, who else? He was almost positive she had injured Glory. How she could've done it, he had no idea. But he made a mental note to try and figure that out later.
All the dragons were so caught up in their thoughts, that they hadn't noticed that Glory was waking up.

I'm surprised I actually did this.
Coming up:
GLORYBRINGER
I know I haven't really done much of that, but I needed to set up the story and plot first.
Also Coming Up:
I'm working on a notifications book, a tag book, and a poem book.
Notifications book will have anything I'm going to do with stories or what I'm going to post. So watch out for when that comes out so you can add it to your library.
The poem book should be out soon, I have several poems I have personally written out by hand that I'm going to put in there.
Other than that, I'm done.
Okie Dokie,
