Chapter 19: The Curse of the Youngest
Sky's P.O.V.
December twenty third. I was waiting on the Big House porch, waiting for Mr. Potter and James.
"Ha! I win again!" Annabeth happily exclaimed. "Well, that's because my thumbs are lazy." Percy informed her, embarrassed that he lost to a girl. Pretty funny, but whatever.
I smiled sadly as I thought about Thalia. Thalia joinned the Hunters of Artemis. She's now Artemis liuntent, since Zoe died. Poor Nico Di Angelo as well, I mean, he got really pissed at Percy because his sister, Bianca, died on the quest.
Nico and Bianca were the kids of Hades. So, Nico just left, and got really mad at Percy. I can understand why, I guess. But he can't count in the prophecy. Why?
Because Hades had Bianca and Nico before the Big Three made the pack. So, really, Hades is the only loyal one to the oath..
I mean, I also have the freaking curse of the youngest on me until I'm eighteen...
Chiron came out of the Big House.
"Sky? Mr. Potter and James are here." I smiled, and Annabeth, Percy and I went into the Big House.
I attacked James and Mr. Potter with hugs. Mr. Potter zapped my trunk to his house.
"Chiron, can I show James around?" "Go right ahead, seeing me and his father are going to chat." I nodded, a bit suspicious.
Annabeth, Percy, James and I exited. James gasped, amazed.
"Over there, that's the climbing wall. If your not fast enough, though, it will shoot out lava, to make you go faster." I explained.
We made our way around, until I saw Drew inside the weapons shed.
"Drew? Why are you in here?" "My shift, duh, you little dope." I rolled my eyes.
"And why, in the name of Dora the Explorer, are there gladius' in here!? Those are Roman weapons! Those were not in here an hour ago!" she rolled her eyes.
"Listen, honey, us demi-gods, and some gods will always know that you'll never be good enough. I mean, the curse of the youngest is on you!" she laughed.
I scowled.
"How do you.. Well, live with yourself when you know that you'll never be as good as any of your other siblings. I mean....." she continued, laughing a bit at me along the way.
"Hercules, your brother, he was.. So brave. He did about, so much... So, so, so much... Look at Perceus! He killed Medusa, saved Andromedia, and, well, is so.. So.. Brave. He became king. Then, your other siblings- most of them are well respected, high priority, very important, royal, treated well, looked up upon gods and goddesses.. Thalia.. She's now a liuntent of Artemis! You, you, Sky, are nothing. Your work? Sloppy! The gods have started to rethink about you. Ares thinks, and I've heard this from my mom, Aprhodite, that Area now thinks that you cant do anything right. You'll never be as good as your siblings. You can't ever reach their importance level. Sky, please except this: you'll never be as good as your other siblings. So, why don't you just stop trying? You'll never be as good. You cat reach that level. You will never be a true, well appreciated demi-god. Never. So, go back, and cry to your mommy. Oh wait, she's... Dead!"
I frowned. I actually had tears threading to fall out of my eyes, and roll down my cheeks. Oh, wait. They did. I sprinted off towards my cabin, crying.
James P.O.V.
As I watched Sky run off, and Drew roll her eyes and go to her own cabin, I asked Annabeth and Percy:
"What's up with Sky?" Annabeth the curse of the youngest to me.
Pretty easy, basically, it's basically what Drew told Sky.
"Come on, let's go. Sky's in her cabin."
I opened the door, and saw Sky sitting on her bed, looking at Thalias pictures.
"I can't believe your actually gone. I mean, we met last year, and your my big sister. And Artemis..your her lunitant. Man, it seems like the children of Zeus have the worst luck, doesn't it?"
Silently, Annabeth, Percy, and I sat by her, but she didn't notice us.
"I mean, Jason, your younger brother, he got kidnapped.. And you don't know where he is.. Jason he's somewhere. He doesn't know his true family. Your mom is dead.. Mine has never had time for me, and she's.. Dead, I guess... We have this trait. Unluckiness. I wish we could prevent that, but the worlds fucked up. You can never change it."
She sighed, and turnned around.
"So, you heard all that?" she blushed. "Yes, yes we did. Now, I believe your going to explain how great I am?" she rolls her eyes.
"Yes, then, there's James! He's great! Great at annoying people! But he's great at blushing when I'm next to him!"
She smirked, as I blushed.
"Come on. We should probably get going...."
I smiled, as did she.
Percy glared at me, as Sky flirtatiouslygrabbed my hand.
Annabeth giggled.
Percy kept on glaring at me.
I smiled sheepishly, as if to say:
'Hey, it's not my fault she likes me.'
He just glared some more.
