Jace smiled as he stood there, staring at me. I could not believe it, he did not have normal human eyes either. I wanted to squeal and hug him, but that might freak him out. Instead, I just stood there in awe before smiling. He saw my smile and that made him smile. I don't know about you, but he seemed cuter with his smile and real eyes. "So I guess I don't need to worry about you thinking that I am a freak anymore huh?" I said, relieved. Jace gave me a weird look. "Freak? Why would I think that you of all people is a freak?" He asked me. I blushed embarrassed and and laughed a bit. "Well uh I may or may not care about how you think of me..." I mumbled, looking away. I wasn't sure if he heard me, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to know. I felt a hand on my shoulder and kind of knew who it was. I spun to see my brother Parker standing there with a smile on his face. I giggled and gave him a questioningly look. He simply stated, "Mitch". I rolled my eyes knowing the situation. I walked over to the food table to see Mitch literally trying to grab everything there. I gave him a look and he groaned before only getting a certain amount of food on his plate. We did not want to end up like the buffet now do we? Jace followed and laughed a bit at the scene. I smiled at him and he blushed. Cherry came over and nodded to Jace, who saw that Jacexx had also taken off his shades. Jacexx shrugged at his brother, causing Jace to face palm. We walked around and introduced the boys to my family members. I don't know about anyone else, but the boys seemed to have calmed a bit down with their shades off, and that made me happy. I noticed Dauver and Pepper running around with my little cousins, having the time of their lives. Seeing the sight made me smile. Then I noticed that my cousin was not busy, so I grabbed Jace's hand and went in her direction to introduce Jace to my cousin the birthday girl. She turned to us and smiled big. I could already tell she was shipping me and Jace together. "Maria! Glad to see that you could make it. You look beautiful! And who is this handsome young man? Are you hiding something from me?" I blushed as I let go of Jace's hand. "Very funny Monica, this is Jace, my friend." She smiled, "Right, 'friend'..." Monica said, making quotation marks with her fingers, causing me to blush even more. Jace seemed to not have gotten it. I face palmed and gave my cousin a look and she smiled. Okay get this girl out of here...like right now. I knew what she was going to say, so I grabbed Jace's hand and left with him. I was mumbling under my breath until we got a good distance away, like hell I was going to leave him with her! I turned to Jace who looked broken. He was fidgeting and blushing madly. I didn't know why until I realized that I was still holding his hand. Embarrassed, I let go and laughed nervously. He seemed to calm down a bit. Now excuse me while I now die inside. I held his hand...HIS HAND. Oh dear, oh my, I'm gonna faint. Okay deep breaths don't die. But it's Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeefsdjflsdkjgoirhgeoijfoidgiosdhgoihgoisgd. Dear frijoles I need to chill. I feel like one of those corny 'love at first sight' movies, it's killing me so bad. What am I some kind of princess? What's next? Dragons? No wait little creatures, oh wait even better, powers. Ha as if. How do I even think of this stuff? Jacexx was right, I am so weird. I looked over at Jace and smiled, asking if he wanted something to eat. With a blush still plastered on his face, he nodded and we both went to go eat something. My mom sat by us and chatted with Jace. I hoped that she did not say anything embarrassing. I got a video message on my phone, and excused myself from the table. I walked down the hall where I bumped into Cherry. "What are you doing here Cherr bear?" she glared at me for using her nickname before answering, "Joslin" I nodded to her. "Mine is Kuki" Cherry gave me a nod. The both of us answered our video messages. "Guys it's me long time no see, I was thinking you AXED me out...hehe get it? Axe? Because I own a axe! Priceless!" I laughed at Joslin's joke, Cherry and Kuki rolled their eyes. "Okay down to business losers, why did you call us?" Cherry snapped. Kuki's face became serious as she replied, "My necklace is glowing and making a weird whistling noise" she said. She showed us and surely enough, it was. "Yeah mine too" We looked at Joslin's and it was. Cherry and I looked at each other before looking our necklaces, that were perfectly normal. "Well if anything happens to ours, we will let you know" I said. The two nodded before hanging up. Cherry and I headed back, now alert about our necklaces. I got mine from my dad, Cherry got her's from her older sister. They were priceless to us, we could not give them up for anything! I guess the both off us looked too worried, because Jace and Jacexx came over to check on us. We acted as if nothing had happened. After we convinced them that we were okay, the both of us whispered to each other about why the necklaces would be doing that. Our minds were somewhere else. Suddenly, Cherry gripped the table cloth and was gasping as her eyes widened. I called her name several times, but she would not respond. Jacexx seemed to have noticed and stopped what he was doing. He rushed over to her and bent down. He was desperately trying to help, she seemed to be scaring him. Finally she blinked and looked around confused and shaken. Jacexx sighed in relief as he hugged her. Until they both got uncomfortable ten seconds later and broke apart. Then Cherry turned to me and whispered to me. "I saw something Maria...it didn't happen yet but it feels like it will." Before I could reply, our necklaces started acting up like Joslin's and Kuki's. Everyone looked at us as Cherry and I ran out the doors. We reached outside when suddenly I felt ice cold. Cherry was burning up. My mom asked us if we were okay...we said no. She took the both of us home and returned to the party after making sure we had everything we needed. We went to my room and I got on my laptop and video chatted with Joslin and Kuki. Kuki said she felt like she was drowning  all the time, and Joslin was always spacing out and saw endless darkness a lot. We didn't know what was happening and it freak us out. I touched my desk, and a layer of frost covered the entire desk. Oh gosh why me...why now?
