It's 2158. The government is a group of scientists called White Coats. The White Coats have developed a serum that ensures every person has a twin. Every person is injected with this when they are children. With this development comes the Brain and Bot Initiative.

When the children reach the age of two they are taken away to a secure lab where they are tested intellectually and physically. The child who has a higher intellectual score is kept at the lab to be trained until they are thirteen to control the others decision making. These children and adults are called Brains.

The other twin is shipped to the hospital to have a microchip implanted into their brain that activates on their thirteenth birthday until they or the other twin dies. The microchip leads back to the computer their twin is using to control their decision making, helping to lessen the crime and mortality rates of the once corrupt world. The people in the real world are referred to as Bots.

All Brains are kept under strict surveillance to ensure their capability to carry out their important tasks. This is why the Brains can't fall in love. The concept of love is irrational, and the job of the Brains is to be entirely rational, making it impossible for the Brains to fall in love without making decisions that aren't calculated and safe for the general public. Although the Bots are under control of their motor skills, all their decision making skills are taken away by the government for the sake of safety. This initiative was first designed as a way to lessen crime and mortality rates of the corrupt world, and as of now, everyone involved seems to be accepting the change. But do they really have a choice?

This is where the Raiders come into the equation. There's a group that fights the white coats and their agenda called the Raiders. The Raiders focus is to get the one flaw in the Brain and Bot program: The Code. The Code will shut off the computers and microchips in Bots. It will provide a formula to reverse the genetic engineering of twins. It will also allow the Brains to fall in love because the government of White Coats will be corrupted.

What's the catch? First they have to find the code. Second they need the only Brain that is capable of deciphering the code, Melissa.

This is my Luke Hemmings fanfiction, and I would appreciate your reads, votes, and comments. I love this story line, and I'm currently obsessed on the plot. I would appreciate it, if this story ever gets big enough to translate, if you ask me before you do so. And please don't copy the idea. I worked very hard on the plot, character development, and chapters. With this in mind, please think before you post hateful comments or copy the storyline into your own book. <3

To address the rating part, I have not rated the book. Why? Because some people have different thoughts on how the book should be rated. I, however, will warn you to begin with that this book and the planned sequels will have some graphic scenes. If you don't want to read them, skip them. I would appreciate it if there was no hate for the graphics or details of some chapters.

In NO way is this book affiliated with 5 Seconds of Summer or any other members of the cast. Which brings us to the next paragraph.

Lastly, this is fan FICTION. None of the stuff in here, besides names, looks, and some coincidences, are real, such as Luke's attitude at some points. Please do not take Luke, Calum, Michael, or Ashton's fictional side seriously as you read. I tagged it as AU for a reason.
