NICOLE'S POV:

Life is a bitch isn't it.

People say it's full of ups and downs.

But where are the ups bro?

Everyday I wake up in the hope to be happy.

But it's seems like life has some sort of hostility for me.

I tried to shove all the negative thoughts out of my brain and I began my day with a fresh start.

Mom was I guess still angry with me. She went to her job and Nora was at her school so I was home alone.

I had breakfast and after that I started packing my bags.

I don't have that much things to carry.

Just clothes, some essentials and most importantly my books.

Around 6:00 pm I was done packing. I was kinda battling with myself that whether should I make dinner or not.

Last time I tried to flex my cooking skills. I was about to burn my house. So this time I decided against it.

That's when my phone rang. It was from my so called boss.

"Hello Ms Watson" he said.

"Hello sir. How can I help you?" I replied back.

"I hope you have packed your things till now. Tomorrow at exactly 5 am. My driver would come to pick you since it's 1.5 hours ride. And if there are any heavy things you want to carry kindly inform me so that I can inform my men to come along."

"Thanks for the help but I don't think so there will be any need for that" I replied back politely this time.

"Ok then be ready at 5. Good night". He said and I placed my phone on the counter.

I sighed. Maybe it's good for me. After all everything happens for a reason.

I was checking my instagram when I got text from my best friends- Lexi and Jayden.

L- Hey bitches how's life?

J- Finally someone texted. I thought both of you were dead.

L- uh-huh Drama queen. Y'all were so busy.

N- Hey guys. Sup?

J- hey bbg. How' s life. Wait you know what we are meeting tomorrow. It's been two fucking weeks. And since Haze is back from Canada we can catch up.

L- Yep for sure. Tomorrow 6 pm at our usual.

N- Done! see ya both tomorrow then.

These two are like pillars of my life. We became best friends in our high school. Hazel is handling her dad's business while Jayden owns a café.

We had this 2 rules among us.

1. NO SECRETS. [none at all]

2. IF ANY OF US KILL SOMEONE THE OTHER TWO WILL HIDE THE BODY.

[we haven't followed this one yet doe. #BoringLife.]

I was excited to meet those idiots.

I am more close to Jayden since he lives nearby and sometimes I do visit his café to eat free things.

What?

Not my fault.

He is an awesome baker and secondly he don't charge me anything.

Duh like even if he would I am gonna give him anything.

He is like a brother too me.

When I was at the verge of depression he was the only one who bought me out of it.

Those times were hard. I still can't forget how-

"Hey sisstaaaaaa" Nora sang while entering bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Hey. How was the school?"

"It was like a building which was brown in color and it had-"

"Was I supposed to laugh on that one" I asked.

Her sense of humor sucks

Nah most prolly hers.

Soon after mom came and we helped her for dinner. She was still kinda upset from me.

But sure as hell I am not changing my decision.

I dozed off early that day since me is not a morning person.

AARON'S POV:

She will be there any minute now. I am freaking nervous. I am currently in my casuals. I told chefs to prepare breakfast as it's still early.

The main door opened indicating she is here.

I walked downstairs.

When she saw me she gave me a small smile saying hello sir.

"Hi. You can call me Aaron outside workplace"

"Ok" she replied before looking around my mansion.

"Let me show you your room" I said.

She started following me. I made sure her room was next to mine.

I opened the door for her.

She was looking at her room when I asked.

"How is it?"

"It's alright. But why is it all pinkish.?"

"Wait I always thought you are a pink lover like all those girls"

Sexist jerk.

"Wait I always thought you are a gentleman like all those men. Guess what life is not a wish granting factory"

I chuckled.

"Did u just quoted fault in our stars" I asked

"Oh shit Sherlock.

By the way never expected for you to know that." She replied

"Well I am book lover so" it's true I love books.

It's like books bring you to a whole another world. Far from reality.

"Definitely never pegged you as a book lover Aaron" she said removing her shoes.

"Ya life is not a wish granting factory after all"

She rolled her eyes.

"Well breakfast is ready. Freshen up and come to the main hall. And tell me your fav colors. I will change the color of the room" I said.

What I can be a gentleman too.

Ahem sometimes.

"Nah it's quite alright. Don't worry." She said walking towards the washroom.

"well inform me if you change your mind."

She hummed in response.

Nobody talked with me like that.

And specially not an employee.

but I don't even mind.

Well we can be friends for the starters.

Breakfast went smooth and quiet with us sharing just few words.

"Nicole from now onwards you can come with me to the office."

She nodded.
