Sometimes when you go looking for something you want, you find something you need. I was in search of Wishes's love when I found myself. I thought I knew who I was, but I didn't.

I'm more than the man who's in love with Wishes, I'm Dillion Rockstar. This whole time, she was right...I was too dependent on her. All I wanted was for her to want me and I would've (and did) do anything and everything to make that happen. It was nice while it lasted, but I'm done forcing things. If it's meant to be, it'll be. If it's not, it won't. There's nothing I,
or any other human, can do to change that.

Standing in front of the enormous wooden doors of Lylyhn's mansion makes me feel small.

I swallow my pride and knock.

The same butler I'd met before opens the door. " Can I help you?"

"Hi Ryan, I'm here to see Lylyhn."

He looks surprised when I say his name. I don't understand why until I recall that I wasn't in my own body when we'd first met. I can't help, but smile at his confusion.

"It's okay, Ryan, let him in." I watch as Lylyhn descends the stairs, like a scene from a movie.

She motions for me to follow her. "Hi."

I take a deep breath. "Hey."

I nearly pass out from holding my breath as we head to the living room. I finally breathe as we sit on her black leather couch.

As I already knew, Lylyhn hates small talk.
She jumps right into it. "You put a chip in my brain and blackmailed my boyfriend?"

There's no reason to lie anymore. It's time to come clean. "I have to tell you a story. It's a story that you're not going to like, but I need you to let me finish it before you say anything, please." The next words burn coming out of my mouth. "Once I'm done explaining, I'm leaving the County."

Lylyhn sits crossed legged with a smirk on her face.
"Oh my gosh, Dillion Rockstar is leaving his hometown? This must be serious."

It's the most serious thing to me. Nervous that I'll chicken out if I wait any longer, I tell her everything. I let her in on every little detail of my plan and the pain it caused.

She sits quietly, she shows no emotion apart from rubbing her hands together. Even when I'm finished, she's silent for what feels like an eternity.

To say I'm anxious is an understatement. I have no idea what she's thinking right now.

"Are you done?" She asks calmly.

I swallow and nod.

She slaps me across the face. "You kissed me! You saw me..." Horror coats her angelic features.

I rub my cheek. "I'm so sorry! I know it sounds crazy, but I fell for you Lylyhn. I fell in love with you."

She laughs coldly. "You don't take advantage of someone you love. You turned me into a cheater Dillion, something I took pride in not being. You made me cheat on Grant."

She looks as though she's about to cry, which breaks my heart.

"I never wanted to hurt you, I was just so caught up in getting Wishes to want me that I couldn't see anyone else's pain. I never could've imagined I'd develop feelings for you."

The same murderous glint in Grant's eyes shines in hers. "The saddest part is, maybe I would've felt the same way if you'd given me the chance. You did what Wishes does to Grant, you both manipulate our feelings to fit your needs."

I shake my head. "I wasn't trying to do that. I'm sorry, I can't tell you how much so."

She just stares at me. "I know."

"I want to thank you for being so kind to me. Being with you was the first time in my life I've felt loved and cared for and that means more than you'll ever know."

Her features soften. "Please take care of yourself Dillion, I'll miss your crazy antics around here."

A single tears falls from eyes as I do the thing I've been dreading most, I let her go. She doesn't and never has belonged to me, she's belonged to Grant all along.

After collecting myself, I knock on the clone mansion's glorious doors.

Dorothy opens them. "Ewww, Dillion like where have you been?!"

For the first and last time, I hug Dorothy.

She pulls away, clearly confused. "Don't like touch me, okay?"

I smirk. "You have never had the right to tell Dilly what do."

I push past her. "Where is Elijah?"

"I don't like know, sleeping?"

I walk down the halls. "Elijah!"

In response I hear, "I love myself!"

Some things never change. I wish we could all have the little man's confidence.

He's sitting in front of a mirror when I see him. "Elijah, I'm out of here for real."

As if he's known this would happen all along, he gives me a solemn nod. "For real."

I take a deep breath. "So, you're free to break all the rules you'd like."

His eyes light up. "I love myself and Dillion!"

He wraps me in his arms.

"Goodbye Elijah." I say with a shaky voice.

It doesn't take me long to find my next target...Darius.

He's in his room writing.

I can't help smile as I say. "Go to her."

"What?" His voice is small, uncertain.

"Go be with your lover. Dilly ain't going to stop you none."

He's so quick it's unbelievable. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!"

He runs out the door without a second glance.

Now for my last and most dreaded goodbye. Wishes.

She's walking in the garden, smelling the roses with a smile on her face.

"Hey baby." I lightly touch her arm, turning her to face me.

She surveys me. "Why you crying DillyDump?"

The words fight their way out. "I love, I always have and I always will, but I'm leaving. Loving you has officially destroyed me. I've lost everything trying to gain you. So, as much as it hurts me, I'm letting you go. You'll never hear from me again."

An unknown emotion shines behind her big blue eyes. "Don't be so sure about that Dilly. I ain't that easy to leave."

The frustration that has been building up inside me bubbles to the surface. "I have nothing left to give you! I'm done. I'm positive I'm done."

"If I say no, you can't go?" She challenges me.

I stand firm. "You would waste your breath."

I pull her into me by her waste and kiss her with all my  repressed passion. She kisses me back with matching intensity.

Somehow, I manage to step back and say, "I wish everyone I've ever met would forget me."

"DILLY DON'T!!!"

"Goodbye Wishes." I say, leaving my past behind.

Within an hour I'm on a plane, flying into my new life. I'm ready to discover myself again.
