Chapter 18
Chapter 18
Hazel Sinclair
It was very strange to say that I had slept very peacefully. Surprisingly, I didn't even have any nightmares tonight! I yawned and turned to my right to check the time. Gasping, I got out of bed because it was almost noon.
Where are my cats, why haven't they woke me up?
I unlocked my bedroom door and walked into my living room to check on my cats.
The sight in front of me amused me and at the same time, it warmed me up.
By the couch, Jayden and Christian were asleep facing each other. They were not only facing each other but they were close, sleeping soundly next to each other. The only space between them was occupied by two of my cats, who were also sleeping soundly. I looked around for the third cat and found her sleeping, attached to Jayden's back. Just as I approached her, she turned around and cuddled against Jayden's back.
I smiled at the scene. Both of their faces looked so peaceful while sleeping and I had to work hard to stop the urge. The urge to pull their cheeks in amusement.
I brought my phone from my bedroom and took several pictures of them cuddling and sleeping with the cats.
I giggled when I threw the phone on the couch and filled up two glasses with water while putting them on the kitchen breakfast counter. Thinking that they might be having a hangover after last night, I put the bottle of Tylenol next to the glasses.
Walking in my bedroom to take a shower, I started to undress. Then I saw the clip on my dresser.
"And I hope you're taking good care of my gift to you."
"It's all in you."
Why was I hearing my granny's voice inside my head?

"I see you guys have woken up from your beauty sleep..." I walked out of my bedroom to see that Christian was sitting on the couch while Jayden was still lying on the floor, groaning.
"Jay's a bit hungover but I feel fine." Christian shrugged and picked up my phone which was on the couch next to him and he furrowed. "You took pictures of us?"
I lunged forward, for my phone. But he was very quick to stand up and hold the phone over his head. Swiping through the pics, he smirked. "Gotta say, we looked real gay."
Jayden groaned. "What's wrong with being gay?"
We both looked at Jayden in surprise. "You mean..." I trailed off.
"You mean you could be gay for me?" Christian grinned while pointing to himself.
"I'd rather lick this cat's poo. I'm not, though." He looked at me. "Hazel, I'm not gay. I swear."
I scoffed in amusement and covered it quickly.
"I'm sure you're not. But I'm a hundred percent sure that you're hungover. Take this." I held the glass filled with water, in front of him. Then I dropped two Tylenol on his hand.
"I hope you don't throw the glass again, Jay. But I still think it's cute. The way she cares for you." Christian was smirking at Jayden as I felt warmth spreading in my face.
Jayden chuckled and drank the whole glass of water. "I won't. But last night, I felt like I could shatter that glass on your head, instead of the wall."
I turned my head to my left to see that the shattered glass was everywhere and one of my cats was sniffing it carefully.
"Snowy! No, don't sniff it. It could cut your pretty little nose." I picked the white cat up and dropped it in the kitchen while pouring the cat food in their bowls.
"It was cool, for sure." Christian grinned. "Hey, what did you think of our rap battle?"
I rolled my eyes while preparing the batter for pancakes.
"I think she hated it." I heard Jayden whispering to Christian.
"It was cool, I guess. You guys did use vulgar words which had me shuddering all night." I finished preparing the batter for pancakes.
I heard Jayden laugh lightly. Then Christian laughed. Then Jayden laughed. And by the whole minute, they both were laughing hysterically.
Setting my mouth into a straight line, I started to pour the batter into the sizzling pan. Quickly walking over to the other side of the kitchen, I grabbed a spatula to flip it. Then I walked back over to the stove to actually flip the pancake. Once again, I walked over to the other side to grab a plate to stack the pancakes on.
"Don't just stand there and watch me! Do something else!" I exclaimed to the boys while I dropped the first pancake on the plate.
"Uh... Don't you think it's awkward?" Jayden mumbled, and that's when I realized that I had two boys in my small secluded kitchen and that I was making pancakes for all three of us.
I stopped momentarily.
"You're going to burn the pancake, Hazel." Christian walked over to me, snatched the spatula from my hand, and flipped the pancake on the sizzling fry pan.
It was the first time he called me Hazel instead of Baby girl.
I looked at Jayden who was busy with his thoughts. Then I cleared my throat.
"I'm... Sorry about everything, Chris. You don't deserve a cheating girlfriend." I mumbled while gulping nervously.
Would he shout at me?
Would he call me a two-timer?
Would he hate me?
Would he be mad?
Would he forgive me or not?
Would he hurt me back?
I felt a hand intertwining with my own left hand. I watched as Christian dropped the last pancake on top of the stack on the plate. He turned to us.
"I should be mad at you both. Hell, I should be fucking raging and ending things with you both." Christian muttered in low voice. "But I don't think I am capable of doing that. I don't think I can live, knowing I broke two people up just so it could be fine with me, with us."
Jayden's furrowed eyebrows furrowed even more as he looked at me. Then I glanced at Christian who was watching us with so much intensity in his eyes, it made me somewhat cower away. "I don't... I don't understand?"
My voice was a major question in my sentence. It was quivering, just like my hands. I was having trouble meeting Christian's eyes, even though I knew that I could easily own up to this moment and be more confident.
But the moment Christian's sad, raging, confusing, and intensive eyes met mine, in an accusing manner, I walked back a couple of steps and hid behind a comparatively large body of Jayden.
"Bro, let's just have breakfast for now. Keep this discussion for later, yeah?" Jayden spoke out, cutting the tension in my small secluded kitchen.
Christian shook his head in denial, and walked out of the kitchen, muttering upsetting words.
"You guys have it together. I don't think I can stay here right now."
