Contest 2: Results
And just like that, the second ever Clever Quill Contest has come to an end. Thank you, everyone, who supported this contest, whether you helped by entering your wonderful story into the contest, helped with judging, or showed your support in a plethora of other ways. You all have been the backbone of this contest, and it couldn't have been done without each and every one of you.
These past couple of months, JustBluePanda and I have been judging the wonderful stories that were entered. It just baffles me the amount of talent that is in this community, especially since the results were extremely close this time. So, no matter what the results are, if you had participated in the second Clever Quill Contest, please give yourself a round of applause. You all did a fantastic job.
Before we get to the placed awards, we have the People's Choice Awards that needs to be announced. I am very impressed by the amount of people who voted for their favorite story. Again, every entry was wonderful in their own way, whether it be how creative they were, the humor that was incorporated in it, how well the grammar was in a story...I could go on and on with the amazing traits I saw in all these stories. Voting for a story couldn't have been easy, yet one story made it out on top.
Congratulations to Book_Mage for winning the People's Choice Award. Afterthought was a very creative short story that was a very enjoyable read. Good work!
And now, it's the moment you all have been waiting for: the Placed Awards! I'm not going to keep you all in suspense for long, no worries, so let's get right to it!

"I LOVED how this story was told as a ballad. It's very unique in that sense, and very enjoyable to read." ~Junie
And that concludes the second Clever Quill Contest! Thank you, everyone, for participating and joining in on the fun! I hope to see everyone again for the third one.
For all participants, please expect a PM from me, Junie, within the next couple of days with a document containing the judges scores. This document will help show the strong points of your own story, along with points that needs improvement. Again, this was a very hard contest to judge as all these stories were amazing. You all did a wonderful job and deserve a HUGE round of applause.
To the winners: when I give you the google document with the scores on them, I will be giving more information about the prizes. Please be patient. While I plan to get it done within the next couple of days, it may take longer. So, just a heads up.
Speaking of heads up, there will be a third Clever Quill Contest coming up. The plain is for it to happen mid-December of 2020. If for some odd reason that doesn't happen, it will happen in the summer of 2021. I'm letting you all know now so that if you plan on entering, you can get a head start on the contest. If you enjoyed participating in this contest, missed the deadline, or had the thought of entering, then I hope you will all will consider entering the third Clever Quill Contest when it comes around.
Again, thank you everyone who has participated in the second Clever Quill Contest. You all did an amazing job. Thanks to everyone for their support. I can tell you it was truly appreciated by everyone involved. I hope you all have a wonderful day and keep up the good work. Remember to keep writing and take care!
