Okay, I said I'd do sneak peeks here and I haven't yet, so here you have it! Stars* is a space thing and I've never done anything like this before, so it's been exciting writing it!

The story begins aboard a spaceship owned by married couple Darren Chess and Sidney Claw. They're in their late twenties, maybe really early thirties. It's not really specified and doesn't play a big role in the story. The ages that actually matter are the crew's.

So these two are running a small crew of about ten other people who have given no background information whatsoever upon joining three years prior to the events of the book.

Earth has only just started space traveling for about a century, so this is a job that many people go after to guarantee they'll make a living. Basically, people are paid to sit around in soace because experts study everything that happens to them; from psychology to geology to I don't even know.

Here's where things start going bad...

So a few weeks before Sidney and Darren's crew took off from Mars, another spaceship and everyone in it had the misfortune of engaging in a battle with some enemies of theirs.

Meet the Stars, a crew that got owned that night. Someone from the inside betrayed them and brought their downfall after they were attacked by the Suns. The captain and all the mechanics died that night. They say that someone had been working on a top-secret project that could change the world and that everything happened so that the Suns would get ahold of it.

Enter Ron Bowns, a seventeen year old guy who took up the mantle as captain when his mentor died that night. Three years later, he's still searching for the traitor that destroyed his people because no-one can exactly remember who that traitor is and what they look like (long story, you'll see). He follows a lead that takes him to Darren and Sidney's crew.

He just calls them up out of nowhere going like "Yeah, my dudes, the mole I'm looking for is on your ship and you have a week to find them or I'll just take you all in and interrogate you, got it?"

Well, that's not exactly what he says, but you get the gist.

Part one of the book, aka the first 11 chapters or so, revolves around the search for the traitor and takes place over the course of 3-4 days.

There are two or three more parts (not 100% yet), but spoilers so I'm not saying anything else.

Wanna meet the crew? You're gonna meet the crew. I'm gonna list them in alphabetical order (based on their surnames) so you won't get suspicious of anyone so early.

Best, Rena
Rena is a quiet one. She's the youngest on the crew and the second-to-last to join. She's from Earth and a pretty damn good mechanic. She has a feud with Dinah (we'll get to her).

Bloustinfeight, Gorno
A guy who visibly tries to steer clear of being social. He mostly gets along with his fellow crewmembers and has a weird habit of talking in a fancy manner. He's from Neptune.

Cont, Nyara
He's from a poor family and a bad neighborhood of a country living in major poverty on Saturn. He's got a soft spot for his younger but feisty sister. He was the last one to join the crew and is quite fun to be around.

Corb, Jol
Just a guy from Pluto, who loves his two best friends more than anything in the world. He's terrible at keeping secrets and a huge gossip. He can't help it.

Damien, Kyle
He was born and raised on Venus, though his parents were from Earth. Rosie and Izzy are his best friends and he'd kill for them. Cold exterior, marshmallow heart.

Doyle, John
Originally from Earth, he moved to Pluto ay a young age where he met Jol. They grew up together. He's a hacker that needs to be taught what privacy means. Has issues with authority.

James, Dinah
Dinah's father was from Earth and her mother from a moon of Jupiter. She is known for stirring trouble and has some anger issues. Hopelessly bisexual. Will fight you, especially if your name is Rena Best.

Phyture, Zoel
Zoel comes from a really big family and her home planet is Mercury. She loves traveling and has been places. Quiet kid (like, literally, she almost never speaks and when she does she's barely audible), but if you hurt Jol or John she'll come after you. Sidney loves the chips she makes.

Pinkerton, Rosaliana
Rosaliana, better known as Rosie, is from Venus. She and Kyle grew up together (his parents are her godparents). Nice, but can also be cold as ice. Don't try to fight her, she'll humiliate you with words harder than stones. Smarter than she looks.

Singh, Izzy
Izzy had a rough childhood. She is nervous about everything at any given time. She panics easily. She talks fast. A pure cinnamon roll, just give her some chocolate and leave her be.

Also: Crystal Hearts is going to remain on hiatus until I figure out what to do with book 3. Book 2 is finished in my drafts, but I don't have the time and energy to edit it right now and would rather spend the small amount I have of these on Stars and some other stories that will be coming out later. The thing is that Crystal Hearts ends on a cliffhanger agaim and has already been going on for too long, so the third and last book is probably going to be a lot shorter than the two first ones and will mostly focus on the relationships between the characters and Lux's unhealthy coping mechanisms. I don't wanna spoil it, but damn... She's in for more unfortunate events or whatever.
