Colorful Night (8/15) - r

Eclipse slowly approached her. He knew what Silver was capable off, and Amy wished to solve this in a peaceful way. He failed to collect a sample, but he might succeed in persuading this demoness to cooperate. The demon hid behind the box Amy sat on.

The demoness was ramming the other side of the barrier with her head with her back facing Eclipse.

It hurt him seeing her wings were ripped. Dark stains covered almost her whole back. The fresh smell of blood meant her wounds opened as she didn't stop trying to escape.

Eclipse waited for her to catch her breath, before he moved next to the box and spoke, "Yo." He made sure to sound friendly, but her body jerked, and she abruptly turned around, slamming her back against the barrier.

"What?" she gasped. She didn't sense him to get close.

Her eyes widen. There was another demon, and the agent was nowhere to be seen or heard. This might be her only chance.

"Please, help me out!" she pleaded. There was no time for pride, there was too much she had to protect. "I was captured by some pink hedgehog agent! I'll give you whatever you want! Just help me!"

"I'm sorry, I can't get you out." He circled the place a bit until he was in front of the door.

"Why not? I'm sure you can break this from outside!" She banged on the invisible surface.

"Well," talking with her sounded like a good idea, but he was at lost how to make her cooperate, "she is my master," he mumbled.

"You traitor!" she shrieked, turning away from him.

"Please, hear me out," he begged in a whispering voice. "I'm spying on The Order!"

She looked over her shoulder.

"Yes, they think I'm weak, so I have an easy time to observe them." He slightly looked over his shoulder. "And please, don't talk so loudly, I don't know how much the outer barrier mutes the sound."

"Another one?"

Eclipse nodded. "There is one around this room too. It cuts sounds and visuals from the outer world, so no uninvited guest can spy." He hoped to gain her trust by answering her questions.

"So, even if I break this one, I'm still trapped." Her clenched fist dug into the floor.

"But you still have a chance to get out of this. Please, answer our questions. My Master Amy means you no harm, unlike our other member Silver."

"Dang, it!" she barked and slammed her head against the barrier. "I'll get out of here on my own!"

"Please, stop!" Eclipse begged her and ran on the other side of the circle. "You will be fine! Just answer our questions!"

"Why should I trust you! You may be saying all of this at the order of that stupid mortal! She is a demon tamer, isn't she?"

Since she was weak, she made sure to avoid meeting any agent of The Order or mortal in the case one of them was the infamous tamer. Only the strongest demons didn't shiver when speaking about them.

"She is," he admitted, "and the kindest person at the world. It was she who took care of your wounds."

The demoness touched her chest. "So what? It was the fastest way to stop me from bleeding out."

Eclipse sighed. This would be harder than he thought. Her stomach rumbled. "Here," he offered her the cookies he picked from the ground. "They are really good."

She hissed, "Definitely poisoned or something."

"No, just full of her love," he muttered, putting one piece in his mouth. During their fall they broke into pieces, but they were still delicious. "I'm sure you will like them," he offered her the rest, moving his hand through the border.

Once half of his arm was inside, she grabbed it and dug her claws into his flesh. The demon only slightly hissed but didn't jerk his hand back.

"Not fighting back?" she asked.

"Why should I?"

"I'm hurting you."

"I noticed."

She pulled him a bit inside and while he refused to move, he didn't pull his hand back.

"You are weird," the demoness noted.

"And you are just grumpy from the hunger."

She would answer him, but her stomach strongly rumbled. Eclipse slightly nodded at her, and she finally took one piece of the cookie. It filled her mouth with a new taste.

It wasn't her first time eating human food, but it was always from trash cans, so it was never fresh. A couple of tears found their way out of her eyes. The demoness hated how much she loved this simple meal. She munched the rest of the cookies, letting Eclipse's hand go.

"I'm really doing this on my own," the small demon continued when he finished licking his wound, "Amy isn't forcing me into anything. She lets me roam free, never questions what I was doing when I wasn't with her. Even her parents accepted me."

She listened to him. It was a wonder why his words now sounded trustworthy. Maybe it was because of the cookies, or the fact Eclipse let her hurt him.

"That third guy..." she started her question.

"Silver is strong, and he won't hesitate to use force to get what he wants. I know it first hand," his hand brushed over his lower limbs, "or legs in my case."

The demoness bit her lip. What chances he had against this agent?

"Amy is your best bet how to get out of this alive."

"Would she... set me free?"

"I'm afraid I can't promise that." He scratched in his quills.

The demoness grabbed her head. Her vision turned blurry. There was no way she would survive a fight now. The blood loss was too severe, her stomach was empty, and who knew what trick both agents had in their sleeves.

While she was thinking what to do, Silver was impatient. His fingers were tapping his arm in increasing pace.

"Don't worry, Eclipse will convince her to help us," Amy ensured him.

He shouldn't have made the barrier soundproof. Hiding the visuals would be enough. Silver wished Gold was with him now. Listening to that conversation would be piece of a cake. He ran a hand through his front quills.

Silver didn't want to give Eclipse that much time. In any other case, he would handle the investigation on his own. Broken bones never failed to bring him results.

His fingers twitched as his fantasy ran wild, creating the images full of pain, scream and twisted limbs in front of him. His psychic powers emerged, and a strong urge to leap at the captured demon rose.

The psychic bit his lip, pushing it aside. What was that? He enjoyed torturing demons. They were unclean beast responsible for many tragic and cruel deaths. It was right to repay them the same way.

However, had he ever felt such strong impulse before? And why the hell he considered Amy to be next on his list?

He had no idea a crimson spark once more appeared in his light-blue soul. Not even Amy noticed it since her attention was on the demon duo.

The demoness exhaled. "So, basically, I have to turn into a slave to survive?"

Eclipse fidgeted. "In a sense, I guess so." He touched his collar.

She felt a growing headache. "Why does she let you roam free anyway?"

"That's kinda funny since I almost killed her during our first meeting." He quickly told her how it went, and what followed after that.

"Does she have a brain?" she questioned at the end.

Eclipse frowned. He disliked when somebody talked badly about her. "She isn't stupid, she is kind. She helped me to grow stronger and taught me a lot."

"Yeah." She rubbed her eyes. The adrenaline was no longer in her body, and tiredness filled the spot. She really had no other choice. 'Why couldn't I be born with a stronger body?'

She hated her body. Because of it, she lost in every scuffle. She was a laughing stock. Even this small guy seemed to be blessed with a better body.

"Hey, where are your wings?" She squinted, realizing he didn't have them.

"You are right, I almost forgot."

"Like serious?" Her left eyebrow was lifted.

Eclipse pouted and deactivated his masking inscription. Her eyes widen. His simple wings were magnificent in her eyes.

"I have this camouflage seal from another really kind person named Gold. With it, I can move among mortals without being detected."

"Really?"

He nodded and showed her how his completely hidden form looked.

"I don't see much of difference."

Eclipse couldn't resist and stuck out his tongue. "I just need to wear some clothes, and nobody pays me any attention."

The demoness gave it a quick thought. Becoming her slave might not be such a bad idea. That collar around Eclipse's neck didn't seem that tough. Even if she was unable to get it off, she could still find a way to profit from her situation. She just needed to confirm one more thing.

"Can she do something with this pathetic body?" She put a hand on her chest to emphasize her point.

"I think it looks pretty..."

Her eyes pierced him, and a cold sweat covered his body.

"... tough," he quickly added, sensing Amy-anger girl.

She watched the ground under her feet like it could give her the right answer. "Fine," she gave in, "I'll answer your stupid questions."

Eclipse widely smiled at her. "I promise, you won't regret your decision." He dashed toward his master. He just hopped the answers would help them, or Silver might turn way too grumpy.
