Layla's POV

I watched as Gordy stood in my doorway smiling.

I rubbed my temples in annoyance. "Gordy what the hell are you doing here? I thought you were off to study abroad."

I heard Michael scoff. He was looking down at his nails. "Gordy." He mimicked.

I rolled my eyes, and faced Gordy, he didn't even know Michael was in here.

He fixed his tie and spoke up. "I came here today because I love you, please come back to me."

I rolled my eyes again scoffing. "You didn't love me when you cheated on me, you sick bastard. How did you even know I was here?" I curiously asked.

This Boy got to leave before I say something ungodly.

"Mr. Damien told me when I went to his produce shack, I left a week after he did." He explained.

Oh he left alright, he left this Earth. I giggled at the thought of his satisfying death, I'll never forget the happiness that pulsated through my body when I fired a round in his head.

Gordy tapped my shoulder lightly. "What's funny?"

Before I could say something witty, Michael stood besides me rolling up his sleeves. "You are, you're a poor excuse of a man asking me for my girlfriend. Goodbye son."

Gordy's mouth went agape at the sight of Michael, I always forget that he's famous. Geez.

"You're Michael Jackson." He dropped his flowers, pointing at him.

He scoffed, grunting angrily. "I know who I am, now know your place and leave." Michael forced the door shut, but Gordy stopped it with his shoe.

"I'm not leaving." He simply said.

Michael giggled at Gordy's Consistence. "The devil is absolutely a lie." Michael simply said before pushing him harshly, knocking his flowers out of his hands.

He stood there dumbfounded, rubbing his head that hit the wall. I walked further into the hallway to see bill approaching Gordy. "Is he a problem guys?" He asked us.

Me and michael nodded in unison. Gordy had a surprised look on his face as Bill escorted him out of here. As Gordy was exiting, he glared at me, evilly. "You will pay Layla, trust me."

I snickered at his lame excuse of a threat. "You shouldn't trust your mom when she said you were cute." I winked.

He yelled loudly. "You didn't think that when we were dating."

I scoffed. "It was a dare sweetie, and it was a very long one." I winked at him again.

"Toodles!" Michael waved.

He squirmed in Bill's arms, begging him to let go. He grunted loudly, and me and Michael laughed at him.

Finally, The hallway quieted down, but I heard doors opening, that weren't ours.

The neighbors, shit.

I pushed Michael back in my room quicker than the speed of light. I closed the door, and panted lightly, sliding down the door.

Just when I was about to explain to Michael about my past with Gordy, someone knocked at my door.

"Go get a pudding cup or something, and hide in my bathroom." I whisper yelled.

He saluted to me. "You're the boss, but i want answers later." He kissed my head.

He grabbed the pudding cup off the mantel, and headed to the bathroom.

I fixed my hair a little before opening my door. I saw an old white woman, in her pajamas, a bonnet, and some fur slippers; holding a small dog, a pomeranian I believe.

"Me and ginger were trying to sleep, but your hubbub woke us up." She complained, with her horrible squeaky voice.

I ran my fingers through my hair. "I'm sorry ma'am it was family business." I gulped at my words.

He ain't family.

She rolled her eyes at my explanation. "Keep it down, or I will call the cops." She threatened.

I put my hand on the back of my door, closing it slowly. "Yeah, sure; whatever."

Right before I fully closed the door, I heard her scoff and say something.

Something disrespectful.

"Stupid ass nigger." I heard her say again, while she unlocked her door.

I bust my door open, and stood in the middle of the hallway to confront her. "What did you say? I know you're thin lip, saggy tiity ass didn't call me no nigger."

She dropped her dog on the spot, and faced me. "Yeah I did, nigger, nigger, nigger." She taunted.

"Oh, okay. I get it, you're mad because I'm young, cute, and I get some." I winked. "Hurry up and get home, you don't have much time left, old ass bitch." I calmly said.

She charged at me like she was about to do something. She raised her hands, but I smacked her harshly across her face. "Don't try me bitch. Hurry up and leave, before I make you leave this earth." I spat.

I heard footsteps approaching from behind me.

I turned around abruptly to see Michael looking at me with a disapproving face. "You just smacked an old woman, why?" He raised his brows.

I was about to explain but the old hag interrupted me. "Michael Jackson? The holy grail of niggers." She scoffed.

"Hold up." Michael paused. "Excuse me ma'am, please go back into your apartment before I let my girl graciously beat your old ass." He winked.

She rolled her eyes once again, before going into her apartment.

Her dog; ginger, ran towards me, hopping in my arms. It started to lick me, and I giggled, feeling alright. "Go back to your mom Ginger, I giggled, setting him down."

Your ugly ass Mama.

She whimpered as soon as I set her down. Within a couple of more seconds, the old senile lady came out to claim her dog.

She scoffed at me, snatching her dog off the ground. Maybe she's abusive. The dog looked at me, as they both went into her hotel.

After that altercation, Michael grabbed my hand and led me to our apartment before anyone saw us.

He closed the door, and led me further into the room. We took a random place on the floor. "Okay, I want to know everything, about what just happened. I also have to admit that it was funny when you smacked that old woman.  I don't support violence in any way, but its what I signed up for when I started dating you." He smiled.

I rubbed his arm. "I know you're a kind, gentle soul, but I'm the opposite, when it comes to being gentle." I sighed.

"I know, but tell me about Gordy." He rolled his eyes, at the mention of his same.

I breathed in heavily preparing to tell him about me and Gordy. "Well," I started. "Gordy and I were friends through out high school. When I had tough times, I went to him for help, hell he even used to bring me food, when we didn't have any." Michael's jaw clenched slightly. I grabbed his hand and caressed it with my thumb, this seemed to have soothed him slightly.

He is so fine when he's upset, good lord.

"He asked me out, junior year. Things went great, but then, senior year, a few months into the relationship, he cheated on me with the school whore. The news spread around the school quickly. So I confronted him about it, but when I did, he smacked me senseless. I told him it was over." I breathed in, preventing the tears streaming down my face. I hate my past. "The date was actually a dare, but he asked me out, before I could ask him. I guess that made it easier for me."

Michael scooted closer to me. "Did you love him?" He seriously asked.

I guffawed at his question. "Hell no. I hate him. Stupid bastard. I loved him as a friend, but not in a dating way, heck I didn't want to date him."

Michael pretended to wipe sweat of his head. "Good."

I giggled at him. "Yeah, so after senior year, I thought he was headed to college, to get on with his life. I was struggling to get money to get here. I couldn't have been happier, knowing that you were awaiting me her. I love you Mikey." I leaned in to kiss his lips.

He gave me a small peck. "I love you too baby, You make me feel normal. I haven't had one crazy altercation, or been mobbed since the day I met you. You make me happy. I was so lonely, and alone with my thoughts, and you waltz into my life bringing joy, love, humor, and a normal life. Gosh were have you been the last 29 years of my life?" He giggled, taking my hands in his.

I smiled at all the compliments he threw my way. "I've been working day and night to get yo you." I winked, at him.

He laughed slightly. "Very punny." He winked back at me. "You get it?"

I nodded. "Yes baby, I get it."

Michael got up from his place on the floor and sat on the bed. "You ready to meet my family? I called all of them while you were kicking that ladies behind." He pulled the covers over his legs.

I laughed slightly at his remark. "Yes, I'm ready. I hope it'll be fun." I told him.

He reassured me. "It will, now come lay down." he patted on the bed.

"No! My Mom is going to walk in and think we did something." I panicked slightly. "I'll lay on the floor."

Michael giggled at me scrambling. Each time he laughed, it sent shivers down my spine involuntarily. "I'll sleep on the floor with you, and we can watch cartoons until we fall asleep." He suggested.

I pondered on a decision.

"C'mon Layla, It's innocent love, we can't really do anything on the floor anyways, without burning our knees on the carpet." He joked, throwing the plush pillows on the floor.

I sighed heavily and gave in. "Okay, fine, but no tricks she should be coming any-" I was cut off as the door opened.

"Minute." We said in unison.

I called my moms name out. "Mama, Je, unataka kukutana na wazazi michael Mungu?" I asked her as she laid down on the bed.

"Do I want to what?" she muffled into her pillow.

I walked a little closer to her. "Do you want to meet Michael's parents? With me tomorrow?" I asked her again.

"Ndio, that would be lovely." She sat up and told me.

I smiled at her positive response. "Okay, Lala salama, Nakupenda."

"I love you too baby, and good night. Good night Michael." she told him, as she laid in her bed.

All she had on was sweat pants and a T shirt, so she went straight to bed.

Michael smiled. "Goodnight Ms. Nancy."

I went back down to the floor and laid down with Michael. "You know." I started, playing with his jet black curls. "You never stay at your own place."

I could feel him smiling, even in the darkness. "Yes I know, this is like my second home."

"You sure are sexy when you speak Swahili." He kissed my forehead.

"Thank you." I turned around, spooning him.

He stroked my hair. "Sure thing, I don't want to go to sleep Lays." He whispered.

I giggled at him. "I know, but lets get some shut eye, I don't want to wake my mom up, and I sure don't want to stand your parents by over sleeping." I whispered.

He sighed quietly. "Okay, fine. Goodnight baby. I love you."

"Goodnight, I love you more." I kissed his lips.

I sat in silence as I heard everyone's light breathing. Michael breathing was loud, but quieted down as he began to drift into a deep sleep. His body heat warmed me in a wonderful way. His rhythmic breathing made me drift asleep.

The Last thing that was on my mind before I closed my eyes were Michael's parents.

Lets see how this goes.
