Agony seared through Lani's pounding head as she brushed her  eyes. A blur of beige and apricot  came into view as she tried to focus.

"Ugh... I always hated beige... so boring..." She complained in her thoughts as she massaged her aching temples.

"Wait a minute... Beige? My cove isn't beige!" Her thoughts screamed as she shot up, hitting her head on the bunk bed above her. Her mind raced to recover how she got there but could only remember seeing that girl limp on the ground.
