In the universe in the Realm of the Nuzlocke Games...
I wrote this story for school . The assignment was we had to take one thing we loved (Pokemon for me) and one thing we hated (Inequality, judgement) and turn it into a story.
In the land of The Nuzlocke Games, there lived a Tribe of Arcanine and Growlithe. They all lived in peace and happiness, and every Pokemon paraded in the flatlands. The Queen Arcanine was about to give birth to the heir of The Pride's throne. Every Pokemon gathered around the cave in which the Queen was in, and everyone waited to see the Growlithe. Finally, after a long time of waiting, The King Arcanine came out of the cave bearing a distressed face. Everyone questioned him. "Where's the queen?" "Where's the baby?" "Are they alright?" But the king said nothing, and walked away. Quickly, every Pokemon piled into the cave to lay eyes on the prince. The Queen was alive, and she was quite tired. But she wasn't with the baby. Every so often, the Queen would glare at a corner. She seemed distressed like the king was earlier. The Pokemon of The Flatlands gathered around a wooden crib. There was The Prince! His complexion looked healthy, and he was behaving well. The only problem was, The Prince Growlithe was barely the size of his father's paw, and his coat was merely patches of fur with tiny flickers of flames going around his head. "He is barely a Prince!" the Queen said in tears. The doctor comforted her. Quickly, just as they came in, all the Pokemon filed out. The Prince Growlithe was no eye catch of a royal... The Queen decided to name her son Igno-Mini. (Or Mini for short) As Mini grew up, he didn't get any respect from anyone... Not even his parents. His presence for supper wasn't even acknowledged, and he didn't get any love. He only got head shakes and looks of shame. Sometimes, at night, Mini could hear his mother crying, and he wouldn't know why. So Mini would nuzzle his mother, but doing so would make her cry even louder. Soon, Mini caught on that he was not appreciated. When he evolved into an Arcanine, The Pride didn't throw him a party. He hoped that his parents, as King and Queen, would invite all of The Flatlands Pokemon to the Pride, similar to what The Pyroars did for their prince. But Mini got nothing. As he got older, Mini grew a little, but was practically the size of and average Growlithe. An Arcanine that is as insignificant as a Growlithe is considered a disgrace in the Pride. After Mini's evolution, The Queen and King decided to dismiss Growlithe from the Pride. In his heart, Mini knew he wasn't wanted since he was even born. His parents probably more than once thought of sending him off to a forbidden lands to be murdered. So Mini took it upon himself to leave. Mini gathered his stuff and headed of into the wilderness of Nuzlocke.
Upon his journeys, Mini discovered a lot of new territory he has never seen. Such as the meadows of Level 1, the dense rainforests of Level 9, and the vast desert of Level 38. While off to Level 39, Mini saw a huge explosion. So he went to investigate it. There, in the Savannah heat, Mini witnessed a war unfold between two opposing sides of trainers. One of the armies wore a blue uniform with pins shaped like Articuno. The other army wore a red uniform with pins shaped like Moltres. It was Team Mystic and Team Valor... They were at eachothers throats again. The Arcanine Pride always gets news of them blowing up each others' land, building walls, and establishing empires and bases throughout Nuzlocke. Each team was biased to their own, which caused lots of drama since each team thought they were better. And so there was war... Mini, being one to understand being hated, and having others be opinionated, to the point he was cast away, wished to resolve the Mystic vs. Valor feud. Arcanine spread his story of bias from Pokemon to Pokemon, and explained how constantly fighting was pointless. Mini believed that even a small bit of acceptance and compassion could go a long way. He encouraged the teams to meet each other halfway. But while speaking to the Pokemon in each army, Mini realized people were taking his words the wrong way.Everyone assumed Mini was a spy from the opposing team. Which wasn't true. They would also make fun of his shortness. "For an Arcanine, you sure aren't the grandest!" A Houndoom exclaimed. The rest of the Pokemon laughed. The teams continued to bicker and bomb each other. Mini started to lose hope. "Everyone has their own bias, and that's perfectly fine. But once you start to criticize someone else for thinking a different way, things get complicated. If everyone were to embrace the fact that everyone is special in their own way, and have their own minds to process ideas, things may get better." So the next day, Mini wrote a letter and moved out. He gripped the letter with his tail. The next battle between Team Valor and Team Mystic was about to start. Mini could already hear the fires. Each Pokemon attacked the opposing team. The leaders of the teams released their legendary birds. Moltres and Articuno... Then they shouted to them, "Attack!" Articuno charged up a huge ice beam attack, while Moltres energized a Fire Blitz attack. But just as the attacks were carried out, Mini ran in ablazing, and took both the shots from The Legendary Birds. Mini quivered in shock from the attack, and all of the Trainers and Pokemon from each team stopped. Each of the leaders of the teams stepped forward to aid the Arcanine. But it was too late. The attack of two Legendary Pokemon was no match for a puny Pokemon like Mini. Mini took his final breath that day. His corpse disintegrated into light. Because whenever a Pokemon dies in Nuzlocke. They can not be revived with a charm. Mini was gone, but he left his letter. It said...
To anyone who comes upon this letter,
I know I might not seem like the most powerful, most pristine Arcanine you have ever seen, but I know that when it comes to arguments, more than one person can be right, and both people could be wrong. I know for a fact though that violence solves nothing. If something can be solved peacefully, it is just as beneficial as if you bombed each other. It is called compromise. And in Team Valor and Team Mystic's case, compromise could lead to banding together to compete the Nuzlocke Games, and escape the world for good. I encourage you to stop fighting. It will get you nowhere. At least consider what I say is true.
As for my parents, I know I might have not been your first choice in what you wanted a prince to look like, but I am happy anyway, and I wouldn't trade who I am now for anything! You may not like it, but at the end of the day, I will not be bound by expectations. I will free myself to be someone I could look into the mirror at, and be proud of what I see. Mother, Father... I love you very much.
-Igno Mini
The news of Mini's death spread like wildfire throughout Nuzlocke. The day following Mini's death. The King and Queen Arcanines held a funeral for Igno Mini, and they invited all of The Pokemon of the Flatlands...
Rest in Peace Mini...
