Maria's POV

Our next stop was the Animal pack. We made it there a little bit after noon. We arrived and the first person I saw was the Luna, Tasha comforting a baby deer.

"Tasha!" I yelled and ran to her and attacked her with a hug. She was one of my closest friends in my life and very special to me.

"Maria!" she screamed in my eat while smiling ."I haven't seen you for two years!how  are you feeling? And what brings you here?" she said while checking my face and hugging me tightly.

I answered with a smile "I miss you so much. I have been fine besides my family's death.  What brings me here is that I will have to talk with you, the Alpha, and the Beta."

I felt something attack my leg and saw that it was a little girl that looked about two years old. She had Tasha's green eyes and dark hair.

"Mommy, who is this pretty girl?" She said in the cutest voice I have ever heard.

"This is Maria the future queen of the kingdom of Arla. Maria meet my daughter Emma. Emma meet my friend Maria." I crouched to the eye level of Emma and said

"You are pretty too, Emma! nice to meet you." and extended my hand to her she took it and shaked my hand I smiled. Then she looked up and saw Leo.

"Who are you?" she asked with curiosity in her eyes." Leo crouched down in the same position I was and said

" I am Leo nice to meet you".

"Nice to meet you too Leo". With that she gave a yawn and gave her mom a sleepy face. Tasha  looked at me with a pleading face and asked "Can you carry her ? Since I have to take the little deer to the medical center."

I nodded and took Emma in my arms. She instantly drifted to sleep while Leo stood beside me with a protective arm around my waist. I wondered why he did that, but I immediately noticed why. There are some were wolves when we entered the packs territory and they all stared at me.

Suddenly I leaned closer into Leo since their stares creeped me out. They seem to look ... what do you call it...thirsty. I immediately thought that they where unmated.

I looked at Emma who was sleeping peacefully in my arms. She cuddled closer to me in her sleep. We waited for Tasha who took the little deer to the medical center.

Then Tasha came out of the medical center . She led us to the Alpha's office.

When we entered the office and found the alpha and his eyes where identical too Tasha's and Emma's. I also saw the beta in the office too.

"Hello Maria." greeted Lupus.

"Hello Lupus and Cole." I said smiling

"What brings you here Maria?" Cole asked

"I am here to propose all of you to fight by my side on the war against the dark kingdom. Do all of you wish to support my kingdom ?" I asked seriously.

"Certainly. My pack will support you. I am pretty sure the entire werewolf kingdom will support you." Lupus said.

"Thank you Lupus and I sure do hope all of the werewolf kingdom supports us." I thanked.

"Maria can you stay here for the night?" asked Tasha while taking Emma from my arms.

"Thank you, but I have to go to the other alphas to ask for there support. Now, if you may excuse us we have to go." I said as I grabbed Leo's arm and we walked out of the office.

When Tasha suddenly said "Wait!"

"We give you this to show that you are no foe but a friend."

I stopped and she handed me a bracelet that had silver beads and a wolf that was howling charm hanging from it. I thanked Tasha and then we walked out of the pack house.

A werewolf whistled at me and Leo stop making me bump into him. He turned around and growled at whoever whistled at me and said in a low voice

"Respect her she will be the future queen of Arla. I am sure you would not want to mess with my queen." with that he pulled me in closer to him and we walked quickly back to the horses that where tied up at a tree. I untied my horse and got on it.

I said with a shake of my head."You are too overprotective".

"Maria first of all you are a queen and second of all I am your guard."He said with a smirk.I rolled my eyes at him.

"Okay,okay,but remember I can defend myself." I protested and sighed before adding "Do you have a smirking problem or something?"

"If you say so, Miss and no I do not have a smirking problem." Leo said annoyed. I mocked him and he chuckled."So which pack are we going next?"

"The lightning pack" I answered.

"The pack I grew up in?" he said.

"You grew up in the lightning pack!? I didn't know you were a werewolf..." I said confused.

"Yes, I grew up in that pack except I am not a werewolf. I am half a werewolf. The Alpha and Luna took me in when I was a three year old orphan. That was twenty years ago." He said while we started our journey.

"How are you half a werewolf and you are twenty three summers old?" I asked with curiosity.

"I have a mark on my chest that was made by a werewolf witch. Since my adoptive parents begged her so they could keep me safe from other werewolves. So now I am half human and half werewolf. I still have sharp hearing and some powers of a werewolf."

"Yes, I am twenty three summers old. I don't know if I am smelling you right but you smell like a werewolf the scent isn't that strong and you are also not in a pack may I ask why?"

I face palmed my self thinking about how stupid I was for not remembering that I am a half werewolf.

"I am a werewolf from my Father's family side. My grandfather was a full werewolf and he lost his mate the day he met her. Then, he fell in love with a human. The human being my grandmother. They had my father and he was half werewolf."

"I did not know that I had to join a pack. I thought it wouldn't be necessary since I will be a queen. Now, I understand why the other werewolves were looking at me like that. Will I be able to change into my werewolf form. Even through I am a half werewolf? Can you change into your wolf?" I said bombing him with questions.

"Maria you will have to join a pack or the rogues will hurt you. The wolves where looking at you since they were unmated. They were also looking at you since you are attractive mostly and you smelled as a werewolf too. Yes, you will be able to change into your werewolf. And yes I can change into my wolf my first shift was when I was sixteen....Oh yeah, you will have to be marked by your mate and mate with your mate to change into your wolf." He said and laughed at the horror masked on my face.

"I am not sure if you have a mate or not since you are half a werewolf. Yet, half werewolves do have mates, but in most cases it has to be another half werewolf to make one whole werewolf. I mean it depends. Sometimes your human will take over and you will fall in love with a human instead of finding your half werewolf soulmate and it can't be 100% exact if you will have a werewolf mate or not..." He said trailing off.

"Forget about it! I am not gonna mate just to change into my wolf. Beside, you just said I might not have a soulmate so it is better for me to marry a non werewolf guy. I was wondering though which pack will accept me if I want to join a pack... and how do you know when you have found your soulmate..." I asked.

"For half werewolves it is different an elder werewolf would be able to sense a bond between two half werewolves. Instead of the soulmates touching and feeling a bond... it is complicated... and you could join the lightning pack if you want to. I am pretty sure they will accept you and being able to change into your wolf will help you a lot Maria besides your powers." he said looking at me with raised eyebrows.

"Do you think I should test out my powers and ask people help to control my powers? And I can't worry about finding or not finding my mate I need to focus on my prophecy..." I said while staring off into the distance.

"You should ask for help to control your powers...testing them out right now. I am not so sure and you don't have to worry of finding your mate or not. Everything will happen when the time comes..." he answered while picking up a pace which I copied.

"Oh, also are you going to be the next Alpha or are you the alpha for your pack?" I said frowning at the idea of my guard leaving me and being replaced be another.

"No, my stepbrother is the Alpha instead of me." he answered.

I nodded then I galloped ahead. Me cloak flying behind me and I reached the lightning pack territory first.

I got off the horse and tied her to a tree. Snapped my fingers and took a bowl and water from my bag. I gave it to my horse who was tired and I took water and four apples. Two for the horses and two for Leo and I.

When Leo finished tying his horse I threw him the two apples thinking that he will not get them in time. Yet, he caught them with ease. He murmured a quick thanks while giving the apple to his horse as I gave my horse her Apple.

After all of us finished are apples I readjusted my tool belt and sword. Deciding to put my bow and arrows in my bag. Snapping my fingers it disappeared.

Then Leo and I headed towards the pack house. Then I  saw Leo being attacked in a hug by a woman who looked to be about in her late forties.

"Leo!" she screamed

"Mom!" he said with a smile. Then a man came and gave him a hug with a pat in the back.

"How are you doing son?" his father, I presume asked.

"Fine, dad" he responded smiling.

They finally noticed me when they did they bowed and curtsy.

"Hello your majesty what brings you here?" said Leo's father.

"Something important I need to speak with the alpha and beta about the upcoming war." I answered smiling.

"If you want to I can lead you to the office." said Leo's mother.

"Yes, I would like for you to lead me to the alpha." She nodded in we were off .

When I arrived at the office I noticed the Alpha sitting and his Luna sitting by him with her hands on top of her stomach. I noticed she was pregnant. By the looks of it she was about to be on her due date.

When they saw me they smiled and said "Your majesty what brings you here?" asked the Alpha.

I came to ask for all of you to fight by my side against the dark kingdom..." I responded.

The alpha smiled and said "Of course we will help you Queen to fight against the dark kingdom."

I smiled and also added "I will also like to join your pack since I am half a werewolf and do not belong an any pack.... I mean if you want me to be in your pack."

The alpha grinned and said "We will love for you to be in our pack if you wish too you can join it now".

"I wish to belong to your pack now, please!" I said excited and delighted.

He smiled and took out a small knife . He made a small cut on his hand and got my hand. Then he made a small cut on it. He the. pressed his palm against my palm.

"Do you, Maria Hernandez, accept to be in my pack?" He asked seriously.

"Yes, I do." I said.

Then I felt a surge of power go through my body. Making me feel dizzy for a moment until I sat down on a chair till the dizziness past away.

"Queen Maria, are you okay?" He asked. I nodded my head and gave a small smile.

Then I stood up ."Maria would you like to stay here for the night?" the Luna asked.

"Yes, if that is possible." The Luna then took out a bracelet, but this one had a silver Thunderbolt and crystal beads.

"This bracelet represents the respect you will have from our pack." I thanked her.

Leo came in and said "Whaddup brother," and then Caine (Alpha) stood up and did a bro hug thing with him.

Then they started talking. The Luna asked Caine if we could go to a walk in the woods. He nodded but said "Keep close where the guards can see you and Queen Maria." We nodded then we went outside and started our walk to the woods.

"Is Leo being nice to you since he can be a pain in the ass, Queen Maria?" Luna asked then she added "My name is Kate."

I laughed and said "He is nice but he is also a pain in the ass and call me Maria, Kate."

"Okay, Maria."she said and stroked her baby bump.

"How many months are you in your pregancy?"

"8 months. I will give birth in six days" she said proudly. I smiled. We continued talking for twenty minutes not realizing we were going deeper in the woods.

Suddenly Kate gasped in pain and grabbed on a tree for support and whispered "My waterbridge broke...I am about to give birth. I didn't think the contractions were this important.."

I instantly snapped my fingers and my bag appeared. I took out a blanket which I put under her head when I told her to lay down. I told her to relax until I could get help.

I instantly took out my bow and arrows and strapped it at my back. I took out some water and gave it to her. I needed for her to stay hydrated.

She kept gasping in pain. I took out honey and lime and gave her a bit to soothe the pain. When I looked around my surroundings to see where we where at. We were at least 30 minutes away from the pack.

"I can't concentrate in connecting... with.. Caine..." She said while groaning.

I looked around when suddenly I saw at least twenty pairs of eyes staring at us. I gasped and stifled a scream. And then the beings came out to the clearing.

Where I saw exactly twenty five rogues surrounding us. They where ready to attack.

I thought quickly and made a magical shield around Kate to protect her and the coming baby. I decided that it was time to use my powers. They won't know what hit them.

I smiled at the first rogue I saw and screamed "Take this sucker!" while I threw a fire ball from my hand and it hit his chest.

He fell to the ground dead. Crap I killed him. Was this how sweet revenge feels? I recognized the marks on their chests. The mark of the dark kingdom the ones who killed my family.

I shot another fireball at another rogue that tried to attack me.

Hmmmm what's next...

I thought ice wouldn't be so bad... then I threw a blade made out of ice that went straight to the chest of a rogue. I repeated this with two more rogues.

twenty more left....

How about causing pains to others with my mind? then I stared at five rogues and thought of a blade that went through their heart and slowly twisting it.

The five screamed in pain and fell to the ground limp.

fifteen more left....

Suddenly I felt a pain in my side and saw blood coming out of the wound. I screamed in pain. I took out my sword and lashed at the rogue who sliced at me with his dagger.

Then I used my air ability and pushed all the oxygen from his lungs out. I took out my dagger with my left hand and lashed at his neck. He fell to the ground.

Next power ... Nature.

I looked at two rogues and imagined tree roots wrapping themselves around their bodies and suffocated them to death. A smile came to my face when that happened. I am a monster. But why should I apologize for being a monster when no one apologized for turning me into one? (AYYEEEEE ANIME REFERENCE...OKAY BYE)

Twelve left ......

A wave of fatigue hit me. I used one hand for fire and the other ice and shot it at two roghes and they fell limp at the ground

....fifteen down ten to go...

Kate screamed and I ran to her expanding the invisible shield around us.

I used my fast logical thinking power a plan started forming in my head. I will communicate with Leo in my mind and tell him in what situation we are in. Tell him to come fast with Caine, a healer, and another warrior from the pack since twenty five rogues are attacking us. I knocked out fifteen while ten are trying to break my shield. I am injured while attending Kate in her birth. I am near a river thirty minutes away.

I screamed in frustration when I saw the rogues change into their wolves while Kate screamed from her contractions.

LEO!

Whats happening Maria? He asked bewildered

Kate is giving birth,we are being attacked by 25 rogues...er ten I knocked down 15 . I am injured, bring caine with you, a healer and someone else to help you. Hurry! I am not sure if I can keep up the shield and use my powers to keep off the rogues. We are near a river about thirty minutes away from the pack. Please hurry I can't attack rogues in their wolf form. Since I am attending Kate who is in the process of giving birth and the pain of my injury. HURRY!

We will be there as fast as we can!Hang on, my queen!

My shield wavered and I felt a pain on my arm. I screamed and threw a fireball at the wolf before closing the shield back again. I put a wet rag on Kate's forehead who was gasping in pain. I took out another blanket and put it on top of Kate.

"The baby...The baby!" She screamed with pain. I rushed to her legs and certainly the baby was coming out. Why was it birthing so fast?!?

It is a werewolf my mind seered oh yeah...

"Kate push!" I said. She screamed and pushed as she gripped the blanket. After several more pushes the baby came out and it started crying.

I quickly cut the umbilical cord not knowing what to do, I tied it into a knot hoping that will help. (Wait this how you do it right? Idk)

Next, I checked the baby and gently pat his back to clear its nose and mouth of any type of liquid that was not letting him breath.

It is a baby boy and he looks healthy. When I saw that he was breathing I wrapped a blanket around the baby and handled it to the mother.

I made the shield stronger and imagined a blade on the heart of the rogue and it fell dead to the ground. My chest started to hurt from the amount of energy I was using.

I looked at Kate who was hugging her baby against her chest. I smiled at her and with the wet rag I cleaned her sweaty face. I will keep them safe.

When the pain I felt on my side felt unbearable I groaned. Then I grabbed a blouse from my bag and ripped it and tied it around my sides to stop the wound from bleeding more.

Kate saw my wound and gasped. She took out a pain reliever and gave it to me along with water. Struggling since she was exhausted. I took it and then felt a bit better. I looked at the nine wolves trying to break the shield.

I could not resist and stick my tongue at them which made them growl.

Suddenly I saw three wolves and a healer running to us from the woods.

Leo!

I am here don't worry everything will be alright, my queen

Suddenly three wolves pounced at the rogues and they savagely killed them. I let my shield disappear and saw the healer and the other three wolves run towards us.

I saw a wolf with blue eyes and jet black fur run over to me. It changed it's form to human and thankfully he was wearing clothes.

Leo hugged me making me scream in pain. When he touched my injury which was a four inch gash at my side. Ah crap that hurts

"I am sorry." he whispered kissing my forehead. I started to gasp in pain.

Once the healer made sure Kate and the baby were okay. She ran to me and pulled my blouse to my chest and look at the wound then she treated it and stitched it.

She put a spell in it to make the pain go away. I pulled the blouse down and gave Leo a weak smile.

"Thank you for protecting my mate and wife, Queen Maria. I own you one." Caine said with gratitude.

I smiled and said "It was nothing." and crawled over to Kate and looked at the little sleeping baby that had beautiful dark hair and a cute face.

The other wolf and the alpha helped Kate to her feet and then Caine carried her in his arms while she carried her baby in her arms I gave her a cloak which she gratefully took and put it on.

I took of my bow and arrow and my sword and stuffed it in my bag along with the medicines, water, and blankets . I snapped my fingers and my bag was gone.

I suddenly felt being in the arms of someone and smiled when I saw Leo and I rested my head against his chest. Closing my eyes briefly and ignoring the pain.

I was still alive and holding on. And I will fight for my kingdom. Forever and always.

Together the seven of us went back to the pack house.

All of us were restless. The Alpha and Luna along with the little baby sat at a couch. While I sat at another couch with Leo beside me. I was glad that we brought goods from the other world which made the homes and castles look a bit more modern in this world.

Luna took a shower and had a dress on while her baby was clean and changed into a cute baby outfit. Which made me smile to think that I helped her in the process of giving birth. I took a shower too and washed all of the blood, dirt, and sweat off.

I changed into a flannel shirt, hoodie and jeans with converse. I also took out the blankets and weapons that I needed to clean along with my blood covered clothes. I washed them and stuffed them back inside my bag and making my bag disappear before heading back downstairs.

"Maria again I thank you for helping my mate and protecting her and our son." Caine said as he looked at me grinning.

I smiled and said "It really wasn't nothing. I just got a few scratches here and there, but may I ask what will you and Kate name your son?"

"We will name him Sebastian... Sebastian Evans."

I smiled and said that "Sebastian is a beautiful name and will you excuse me but I am tired and need to go get some rest....Goodnight Kate and Caine."

Then I crouched next to Sebastian which was in Kate's arms. Kissed him lightly in his forehead before whispering "Good night, Sebastian."

I was in Leo's home still refusing to sleep with him in the same bed since he only had one bed room.

"Fine Maria you can sleep on the couch. But, don't come crying if you fall of the couch!" he said with a devilish grin.

"Fine. I will sleep in your bed except you stay on your side and I will stay in my side...... got it?" I said in a strict voice.

"Yeah yeah yeah I got it." he said with a smirk.I ignored him and went into his bathroom and changed into some sweats and a plain white cotton shirt.

When I came back I was a little shock to see him only with sweats on and no shirt showing his muscular upper torso. Which I rolled my eyes at and ignored him. Laying  on the bed gently trying not to put any weight on my injured side.

I winced and gasped in pain when I accidentally put a little to much weight on my side. In a second Leo was by my side and gently lifted the shirt to examine it. Making sure I didn't open it and then he gently put it back down then he turned of the light. [Thank god his house has electricity!] and laid beside me on my uninjured side.

"Leo do you think I will be able to travel again by tomorrow?" I asked softly.

"No I will like for you to stay here so you can rest and gain your energies...I will also like for you to come with me to my parents home so you can meet the rest of my family."

At the word family a tear slid down my face."Whats wrong Maria?" Leo asked in a worried tone. I am pathetic crying. A future queen showing weakness!

" Nothing... you just reminded me about my family and our happy moments." I answered as tears kept falling. At this point I didn't care anymore. Call me weak but sometimes I can't bottle up everything.

Suddenly he pulled me in closer to him. Gently, since he did not want to hurt me. I snuggled into his chest while he gently hugged me and said softly while kissing my forehead.

"Don't cry. It breaks my heart to see you like that, my queen."

My tears stopped falling. I snuggled in closer for his warmth and drifted to a deep peaceful sleep....
