Everyone was up an dawn and ready to go. They took to the skies and began their flight to Znzirz. Soon they were in sight of the capital. "You all know the plan, now let go!" Kalith said and then led the charge at a steady pace. Ozenbi yelled a charge of his own and shot ahead of everyone else "Ozenbi, Stop!" Ordered Kalith. He didn't hear and was entangled by a bola right after he crossed the city walls. "That was foolish." Remarked Griff.

   They continued the charge until they were in attacking range and they flew up to be out of range of some of the defences. They were about to attack when a blizzard appeared out of nowhere and stopped them. They were tossed around by the winds and crashed into each other and lost consciousness.

"Where am I?" Kalith asks himself as he wakes up. He looks around and sees a flat, snowy field as far as the eye can see. A cage lies, partly submerged in snow, on the far side of the field. He squints and sees a glint of silver. "Aryia!" He yells. She lifts her head and looks in his direction.

    "Save me Kalith." He spreads his wings and flies over to her. He had just gotten into the air when a strong wind suddenly blew him into the ground. He then tried running but the snow was too thick and deep. Aryia looks at him and then talks with a distorted voice. "You couldn't protect me then. What makes you think you can save me now?" She then laughs a maniacal laugh. He then sees Egnever approach from behind her. "Aryia, behind you!" She turns around and Egnever stabs her heart. "Aryia!"

   Egnever then turns to him and laughs. "What makes you think you can save her when you can't even save yourself." "Save myself?" "Look around, dragon." He looks around and the snowy landscape fades and is replaced by bars and chains. "How can you ever hope to save your mate when you can't even save yourself?"

   Kalith growled at him and trashed around in his cage. "Still a fighter? Well, that won't last long. I have special plans for that dragoness. Plans that you will be forced to watch." Egnever smiled and let that sink in. "I'll leave you to imagine them for now. Do not fret, I'll send someone to tell you later, someone you know Goodbye, beast." Egnever laughs and leaves. Kalith then looks around and sees Flame, Griff and everyone else trapped in cages and wings bound by chains. He growls and starts to plot a way to get him and everyone else out.
