October 4th, 2004, 12:01 AM: "I know how to read a map Jenny, this is just the scenic route"

"Really Mark? Because it looks like you're just lost."

As the trees go by Jenny leans out of the car door shaking her head annoyed.

"We were supposed to be there an hour ago"

"I know Jenny, I know come on babe look mile 4 we're close"

Mark speeds up a bit

"Mark there's a stop sign"

Mark blows through the stop sign as the mile 4 marker disappears into the distance.

"It's okay babe stop signs are just suggestions in the country" Mark looks at the time "12:01 we can make it."

October 4th, 2004, 12:01 AM: "Hey Mark is your clock broken? It's still saying 12:01 but we've been driving longer than that right?"

"The next mile marker is up ahead babe let's look when I stop at the stop sign"

The car grinds to a halt as they both sit silently, staring at the sight ahead of them.

October 4th, 2004, 12:01 AM: "Mark that's mile 4 but we just were on mile 4 so how can that be mile 4?"

"Calm down Jenny are you sure it said mile 4?"

Jenny looks at him dumbfounded

"Seriously Mark? You even said it out loud, maybe you took a wrong turn!"

Mark shakes his head and looks at the map "No we drove in a straight line it might just be some dumb prank let's keep moving"

October 4th, 2004, 12:01 AM: "I'm timing us this time," Jenny remarks as she presses her watch

"What the fuck, Mark is your watch working because mine isn't"

Mark looks at his watch and frowns "Aww brand new and already broken"

"Mark! This is seriously weird! First, the clock in the car didn't work, then we passed mile 4 for the second time and now our watches don't work. What's happening?"

They approach the next mile marker, mile 4 but the sign is rustier and the stop sign is chipped

"Look at the trees Jenny they're decaying" Mark and Jenny stare at the trees as they drive slowly it gets more and more difficult to drive the road is uneven and some trees have decayed so much they've fallen on the road, one huge decaying oak blocks the road as Mark stops the car. After a few minutes of looking at the tree, Jenny speaks up.

"Mark turn around" Jenny turns to Mark.

"Mark?"

"Mark!"

"MARK!"

October 9th, 2004, 4:00 PM: "In other news, Mark Dellaway and Jenny Burns' bodies have been recovered, authorities have commented on the condition of the bodies saying they were found rapidly decomposed 4 miles away from their vehicle, authorities have yet to comment on why they were out there but we're all thinking it, after 10 other deaths similar to this can we assume the work of a serial killer or perhaps something far more sinister, this is Caylee Silver signing off."
