(Sorry for the long wait. Was enjoying a very nice vacation in California but then got a REALLY bad sickness that left me dead for a good long while. Moving past the worst part of the sickness I still feel a bit down so sorry about that. On the positive side I have a girlfriend now and I'm getting much better. So without further ado. Enjoy.)

(Volume 5) Chapter 9: The Family Reunion/Falling Apart.

(Late at Night, Your POV)

You're just staring up at the emptiness that is your bedroom's ceiling. You wonder how Blake is doing, she must be doing something very boring compared to what you guys have been doing. Meh, you hope she's doing all right. All of a sudden Ruby bursts into your room, she seems very happy.

You:"Well what's got you all worked up?"

Ruby:"Qrow just told me that Professor Lionheart got the committee to help us on our quest to get the Spring Maiden! He wants us to come tomorrow night to work out the details. I told everyone else about this, they all seem pretty happy over this." At first you're filled with joy

You:"That's amazing Ruby!" You smile at her as she jumps onto the bed. You then start thinking about what Professor Lionheart said when they first talked to him..saying how it would basically be impossible to get their attention...and the fact they have no Huntsmen to spare...since Qrow went searching for all of them yet NONE of them turned up...this isn't right...you may just be paranoid but there is something off here. "Did Qrow say anything else honey?" Ruby thinks for a moment.

Ruby:"No, nothing that was really important. But isn't this great!? We finally have something going right for us." She smiles as she scoots up and sits in your lap." She seems so tired, yet so fufilled at the same time...you don't want to ruin this moment for her yet, You hold your tongue and not say anything against this VERY..wavering situation. Ruby sighs as she looks at you, you look down and stare into her beautiful eyes. "I'm glad things are finally going our way for once." That innocent smile makes you cloud your true thoughts about this situation as you kiss her on the lips. She smiles and gets up. "Welp I'ma shower. Bye love." She exits the room and now you are by yourself...well somewhat.

Luna(Sub):"This seems...very strange."

Cole(Sub):"I'm sure you've already know about how untrustworthy that Lion Faunus is, Chronicle?"

You(Sub):"He's a Faunus? Er- um yeah, he's definitely no Ozpin in terms of trust but...I don't know, would a man really risk so much just to save his own skin?"

Cole(Sub):"Trust me, cowards like him will do anything it takes in order for them to come out alive, no matter what, or who gets in the way. Be wary Chronicle."

You(Sub):"Copy that." There's a small bit of silence in the room, you feel a slight stinging pain from your bad arm as you look at it...you remind yourself of something. "Luna?"

Luna(Sub):"Yea?"

You(Sub):"I know you're a giant mythical Leviathan who grants incredible power but...why haven't you healed my arm yet? I mean you fixed most of my wounds...though some take longer than others to fix so...why is that?" 

There's silence for a while, you enter your Soul out of curiousity. You look at Luna who's looking down in her Ruby form.

Luna(Sub):"I am able to heal all sorts of wounds, from fatal wounds like when you were stabbed in the chest to spiritual wounds like when I exploded your Soul. But I have a giant flaw...or rather two of them."

You:"And those flaws are?"

Luna:"I can't fix wounds directly caused by Solar's energy."

You:"What!? But you've fixed me from Raiden's blade? And his Flare Smashes and what not!?"

Luna:"At that time Raiden was only using his weapon and not Solar's energy. The Flare Smash did have traces of Solar within it, but at the time I was still the main source of power in his Soul. But that Flare Smash you unleashed on him during the Vytal Festival, the one he clashed with? That was him fully submerged in Solar's energy. So when it clashed and destroyed your nerves, I couldn't fix it."

You:"Oh...but what about the second reason?" A bit of a pause happens between you and Luna. After that bit of silence, she takes her hand out and out from it forms a glowing orb. It's immensely powerful as it pulses and sparks of lightning crackle around it. But it seems...weak

Luna:"This is MY Soul, the one that allows me to let you use my powers, from my fire to my Conjuring. As you can see...it's not looking all that healthy. It takes millennia for a Soul as powerful as mine to become healthy...which is time we don't have. Right now my Soul is pushing itself immensely,  It started with my giant fight against Solar with Cole all those centuries ago. But when Cole was severly injured and I merged with him, it took a LOT of my Soul's energy to do that, I had to match his Soul power so I had to destroy a lot of my Soul's energy output. Healing the bloodline for centuries with small bursts of my power kept me running smoothly...until I got to you, where you have access to all of me. I have to continuously heal your tremendous wounds, it wasn't all too bad until you first did a Flare Smash, healing that easily drained me for a while, had I not healed you while you were first doing a Flare Smash, your arm would've disintegrated from the raw power. So I stopped you from doing so during your fight with that robot, which is why your arm took a while to heal, since I was almost drained of my energy. But it kept getting worse with you doing it over and over, luckily Cole stepped in at times as he made you use his power instead of mine. But then when your Soul exploded...that took me a while as you'd imagine, rebuilding an entire Soul is insanely strenuous for me. I lost most of my energy doing that. And though I'm doing better...that final fight between Shiro...with you accessing your Glaive Semblance finally but nearly killed yourself...that destroyed me. So...long story short, I'm dying in a sense." You look at her in shock

You:"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THIS BEFORE!? HAD I KNOWN THIS, I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN NEARLY AS RECKLESS! I would'v tried to stay safe if it meant keeping you alive!"

Luna:"It's my duty to help out your bloodline...and if it means dying then so be it. It'd be for the best as well...then Solar wouldn't be able to take me and use me in whatever diabolical scheme her and Salem have planned." She transforms into...your actual mom Luna's form.

You:"You can't die Luna. If I have to, I will only use Cole's side if it means that you get better, even if it is just a bit."

Luna:"That's sweet of you (F) but." She takes out the Orb as it continuously dims. "You don't even need to do anything at this point. At this rate I have a few years left. If you go into a critical state a few more times, it's even less. Well I had couple million years to live my life...I think it's fine that it ends when if I'm with you and Cole."

You:"No. I'm not letting you die alright!? I can't lose you too, mom." Luna looks up and smiles at you softly

Luna:"Heh...mom...I'm glad I was able to watch you grow, my child. But there is no saving me. But don't worry about it. I'm not going anywhere any time soon. So just enjoy it while it lasts..." They force you out of your Soul...as you sit there staring at...Ruby? Ruby's looking at you, very confused.

Ruby:"Uh...(F)? You alright sweetie?" You just pull her in and hug her. A tear going down your cheek. Ruby doesn't know what's happening but just hugs back and kisses you on the head. "It's alright...I'm here for you...I'm here..." She goes under the covers with you and holds your hand and snuggles next to you, she kisses you and you drift to sleep with the exhaustion of the weight of a brand new problem on your shoulders.

(The Next Night, Your POV)

Immediately you can tell something is very off. It's....quiet and just empty...very uneasy, couldn't sleep much last night with the fact that your Mother is dying and it's your fault for being so reckless relying on her...Ruby asked what was wrong and you just told her that you felt something wrong about this meeting you're having with Lionheart, she didn't really listen, just insisted that you gave Lionheart a chance...but still...there's something very wrong in the air, you haven't felt like this sinceright before the Fall of Beacon.

You're all entering the building and you see Professor Lionheart who is standing on a terrace at the top of the stairs that is being held up by a statue.

Lionheart(Nervous):"Why hello. Thank you for... coming."He pauses while looking around at the group "There... seems to be more of you than last time." He chuckles nervously. Qrow and the rest of the group stop to look up at Lionheart. You look around...seeing a...raven? It flies down and is now perched on a balcony rail. You look at it curiously as it looks directly at you. You shudder...something's weird about that bird.

Qrow:"Eh, you know what they say, "The more the merrier." So what's going on with the council?"

Lionheart:"Why... did you bring your weapons?" Okay all of your instincts are telling you to leave right freaking now.

Qrow:"What? Leo, we're Huntsmen. You okay?"

Lionheart:"Of course! Of course, sorry. Just haven't had my evening coffee." You look at Lionheart with curiosity...Lionheart tries not to stare at you. You divert your attention to the raven who is still just seated there. You are reminded of when Ozpin said that he turned Qrow and Raven into...birds.

Qrow:"Look, it's nice to see you, but we got work to do. Are we getting support from the council or not?" While the two talk, you slightly nudge Yang as she looks at you, you turn your head in the direction where the bird is and Yang looks over at it as well.

Yang:"Mom?" Now everyone's attention is turned to the bird. It flies away just as Qrow shoots at it, but he misses. The bird flies down behind Lionheart,as it transforms into...Raven, donning her mask. Everyone glares at her, but not you. You wonder what else is going to happen. This is only the beginning.

Ruby:"Raven..."

Nora:"They... they really are magic..."

Raven:"If you're going to shoot me, shoot me. That was insulting." She says while taking off her mask. She looks exactly like Yang...well more or less.

Qrow:"What are you doing here?" She begins walking down the stairs, the entire time the destruction of Beacon is playing through your head.

Raven:"I could ask you the same thing. You've been scheming, little brother. Planning to attack your own sister."

Qrow:"Leo... what have you done?!"

Lionheart:"I..."

Raven:"Leo did what any sane person would in his position - he looked at all the information he had in front of him, assessed the situation, and made a choice. And it seems you all have too." You get angered at Lionheart.

You:"Lionheart you coward!" You grit your teeth looking at Lionheart trying to hide in his self-pity and take a step forward, your eye sparking with blue flames, Raven smiles slightly while narrowing her eyes at you. Qrow places his hand up, making you stop.

Qrow(Angry) "Quiet (F). " He looks back at you before narrowing his eyes at Raven. "You have the Spring Maiden."

Raven:"I do."

Qrow:"Then hand her over and let's work together! We can beat Salem!"

Raven:"All that time spent spying for Ozpin and you still have no idea what you're dealing with. There is no beating Salem!"

Ruby:"You're wrong. We've done things that most people would call impossible, and I know the only reason we were able to do it is because we didn't do it alone! We had people to teach us, people to help us, we had each other. Work with us. At least I know we'll have a better chance if we try together. Please." You smile lightly at Ruby's persistence but...you feel like something terrible is about to happen.

Ruby holds her hand out. Raven glares at it.

Raven:"You sound just like your mother." Suddenly, Raven draws her sword and creates a portal with her Semblance. From the portal, a fireball is launched and hits Ruby square in her torso. She lands several feet back. You immediately burst your eye fully into flames as electricity swirls around you.

Yang/You:"Ruby!" Yang runs over to Ruby but... Cinder Fall herself steps out of the portal. Your head begins hurting immensely as you fall to your knees in pain

You:"Gah!"

Cinder:"Hello boys and girls." Then steps a girl who you can only assume is the Spring Maiden,  Emerald, Mercury...Shiro...and last but not least Raiden himself all step out of the portal. There's a shock in everyone at the sight of Raiden and Cinder...especially Yang...as Raiden seems to be...equally surprised at seeing her. Little Sophie is hiding behind you. You need to keep her safe...but you also swore to bring Raiden back, you have to stop them here.

Ruby:"Cinder..." She says while glaring Cinder and her group line up alongside Raven, while the rest gasp.

Mercury:"C'mon guys, is that any way to greet your old friends?" Yang growls at him. Yang looks at Raiden, tears filling in her eyes.

Yang(Angered/Breaking):"You know...I didn't want to believe it but....damn it Raiden!" She blinks as the tears goes down her eyes as her eyes turn red. "What the hell are you doing!?" Raiden looks down before looking at Yang

Raiden:"Serving the Queen." He says as his eye courses with black flames. Yang looks at him in a disgusted way, scowling at him.

Ruby:"R-Raiden, we can help you, but we need you to help us!"

Raiden:"I'm sorry little girl but I don't listen to you anymore." You scowl at him, stepping in front of Ruby as you get ready to act in a moment's notice.

Qrow:"Everybody, stay calm."

You:"Qrow. No offense but I think we're all past the point of being cal-" Suddenly you all hear the doors behind them open up.

Oscar:"Oh no..." some very strong man you've never seen before is now closing the doors behind him as he enters.

???:"The White Fang is prepping demolition and securing the school grounds. No one's getting in, and no one's getting out." The man then begins approaching all of you slowly. You all turn your attention back to Cinder.

Weiss:"This was all just a trap?"

Ren:"It appears so..."

Qrow:"Raven, tell me... how long have you been with them?"

Cinder(Mocking):"Aww, don't take it personally, little bird. Your sister was a recent addition. The lion on the other hand... Entrance into the Vytal Festival was a real treat, Leonardo's been sending Salem all sorts of information for a very, very long time. Isn't that right, professor?"

Lionheart(Ashamed):"Stop it..." You find his cowardliness absolutely despicable.

Qrow:"It was you... you sit on the Mistral Council. You had information on every Huntsman and Huntress in the Kingdom, and you gave it all to her?"

Lionheart:"I--"

Qrow:"I couldn't find any of them, because you let her kill them!" Lionheart doesn't say anything, just the look of a man wallowing in hos own self pity showing on his face. It makes you sick

You:"How...DARE YOU!" You look straight at Lionheart, he's looking down. Everyone looks at you. You feel your power rising as you feel your chest heating up. "LOOK AT ME! YOU DAMN COWARD!" He slightly looks at you "HOW COULD SOMEONE WITH YOUR POWER LET THIS HAPPEN!? WE ARE HUNTSMEN ARE WE NOT? WE FIGHT SO THAT THESE GUYS AREN'T A THREAT, YET YOU JUST LET HER WALK IN AND TAKE EVERYTHING FROM YOU, ALL SO YOU CAN STAY ALIVE AT THE COST OF OTHER HUNTSMEN!! PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE ME SICK, AT LEAST RAIDEN FELL DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE WAS PROTECTING ME!" You breathe in and exhale out shakily "But you. You let everyone else die, just to save your own damn skin. What a disgrace to the name of Huntsmen everywhere." There is just silence for a bit, Lionheart just closes his eyes in sorrow. "And of course you don't fight back because you KNOW it's true. What. A. Failure."

Qrow:"(F)! That's enough!"

Cinder:"Aw now, don't beat yourself up about it, Lionheart, I'm sure Tyrian and Hazel would've found them on their own eventually." Cinder smiles smugly at you as you growl and take a step closer to her. Raiden also takes a step forward, moving in front of her. He has a new weapon in his hands. It looks like a staff.

Jaune:"What is wrong with you? How can you be so broken inside... to take so many lives, and then come here and rub it in our faces like it's something to be proud of?!" You look over at Jaune, he's looking down. his fists clenched tightly.

Nora:"Jaune..."

Jaune(Enraged):"All with that damn smile on your face!!" He looks up directly at Cinder in anger as tears stream from his eyes.

His anger reminds you of your own as you Conjure your Marasuma and Cloud Kitsune. Everyone else drew their weapons as well. Raiden's staff glows with the dust infusion. Similar to your clothing which is fully lit up...That weapon is dangerous, who knows what other surprises might be within it.

Qrow:"Everybody, stay calm!"

You:"Damn it Qrow! Saying that isn't going to help anymore!" Cinder just glares.

Jaune:"I'm gonna make you pay for what you did!! Do you hear me?!"

Qrow:"Kid!"

Jaune:"Well?! SAY SOMETHING!!" After a short pause, Cinder just says

Cinder:"...Who are you again?" The silence fills the room as your eyes widen as big as Jaune's. Now there's no going back. Jaune transforms his Crocea Mors to its two-handler form and dashes at Cinder. Cinder summons an obsidian scimitar and the two clash as a small shockwave goes around the room.

Ruby:"Jaune!" Ruby leaps into the air, but a chain wraps around her and she is pulled to the ground by Emerald.

Emerald:"You're not getting near her."

You:"Ruby!" You try to run over where she is. But you are immediately kicked in the back by Shiro who warped over to you.

Shiro:"What. No hello to your own father?" Shiro conjures his spear and dashes at you as you clash with his spear with your Marasuma, you switch your Kitsune into its 6-Whip mode. You go to wrap the whips around Shiro but you are stopped by a staff that whacks you in the face. You fly back and slam into the wall behind you as you look to see Raiden. His staff extends as the hydraulics within hiss as it rotates and switches into a massive dual sided axe-blades. (An accurate look is Warframe's Guandao, except there's a blade on the other end as well.)

You look back to Jaune as he is then pushed back by Cinder and the two begin their duel. Yang runs forward to join the fight, but Mercury lands in front of her. You can't get distracted as Raiden warps right in front of you as you quickly switch into your HF-Engine Blade mode as you clash against his front blade. The other side of the weapon detaches as Raiden holds it in his left hand and you quickly use your Kitsune to block the incoming attack. You feel a sharp pain in your leg as a blood spike shoots through it. You yell in pain before warping away from both of them. You use as much power as you currently can use as your hair turns pure white and electricity swarms your body. Your flame turns white and you feel your chest burning, you look down to see that in the center of your chest now has a bright blue beacon in your chest. You feel much pain as small glowing blue cracks go around your body. You then dash rapidly at Shiro as he dodges your flurry of attacks, Raiden warps behind you and goes to stab you in the back. You quickly drive your foot back and kick him far from you, though he only skids back on the ground and then begins running over to you. Your lack of attention between two great foes is a incredible disadvantage as Shiro sends a blood spike into your leg and he pushes you back.

Raiden:"I'd give it up, if I were you little bro. You're no match for us. With your dying Leviathan and my increasing power. You have no chance."

You:"Shut up!" You create a Soul Burst from your chest and send it at Raiden as he dodges out of the way as the explosion nearly knocked Weiss out of balance as she's hopping onto multiple Glyphs. The Soul Burst trembled the area...you shouldn't do that again.

Raiden:"And there's our fatal flaw. Don't use too much power. Or you risk blowing us all up." Raiden warps in front of you as Shiro warps behind you. Shiro hits you in the back incredibly hard and right afterwards Raiden slams you in the face with immense power as you fling into the wall on the opposite side of the building. You get up as you wipe the blood coming from your mouth. You feel your eyes are in pain. You don't want to push Luna...but you may have to in this fight. You power down from your...-awakened state you should call it?- And take out your Marasuma which it's still in its HF-Engine Blade mode. You dash as Raiden dashes back. You both clash as the sparks fly off of your blades. Raiden's arm bursts with flames as he uppercuts you and you go flying upwards. Shiro warps up above you and spin kicks you down. Raiden waits below you as he grabs you from the sky and slams you into the ground. You cough out blood as Raiden Conjures his weapon again, the blade pointed right at your eye. "So weak...cliche is it may be, I've barely begun to tap into what my power now holds...then again, you aren't using much of yours either. "I need you to be so much stronger than this little bro..." You unexpectedly kick Raiden in the face and he stumbles back as you get on your feet, holding your Marasuma in his face. Raiden sighs "You still use that worthless Trident? I made that thing out of junk. It will always be garbage." Raiden quickly slams his weapon against your blade. You both start trying to overtake one another. "You know...you already got my weapon...why do you still even use this? It's obsolete, much like you. I could've given you the cutting edge technology of my Whip-Blade but...why waste something like that on garbage like you...speaking of which." His blade glows a vibrant red as you hear the sound of metal churning. A bright light blinds you as you get blown back. You get up and look to see...that your Marasuma has been broken. The blade's been completely destroyed...he had a High Frequency mode on his blade...oh no. You try switching it back into its Trident form...but the blade's on the top of the Trident along with the top half of the hilt has been shattered.

You:"NO!" You look at your beloved Marasuma... as it begins to crack even further, it's beautiful red color turning to ash...it disintegrates in your arms...Raiden laughs. Your beloved Marasuma....is gone. At the same time you hear Ruby yell 

Ruby:"NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" A bright light engulfs the area, but dies down when Ruby is knocked unconscious by Emerald...What the hell was that?! Suddenly, Cinder falls to her knees, holding her arm in pain. Both Raiden and Shiro grunt in pain, holding their eyes. What did Ruby do!? You have to help her.

You:"Ruby!"You try to warp over to her but Raiden warps in front of you and kicks you down.

Raiden:"Forgetting about someone?" You look at Raiden with hate.

You:"Why...why are you doing this!?"

Raiden:"We need you to become stronger. And that seems to be working by making you collapse. I noticed in your fight with Shiro a while ago that you completely lost your sense of self and I need that to happen again." He looks away from you and looks towards Sophie who's hiding behind a pillar.

You:"I-I can't! If I do it here, I won't be able to control my power and I'll destroy the others." 

Raiden:"I'm counting on that, (F)." He says while smiling evilly. He looks over to a struggling Weiss, getting beaten down. You look at Weiss, her aura's completely gone. W-wait....NO, NO, NO! Your eyes fill with fear as you realize what they're going to do, you try to get up to help Weiss but Shiro kicks you down and steps on you, forcing you to watch.

Weiss gets knocked back several feet away, as Cinder begins to slowly proceed toward her while she conjures...Pyrrha's spear. You hear Jaune yell, he's on the ground. Wounded as well

Jaune:"No..." watches helplessly while Cinder continues to advance towards Weiss. Images of Penny and Pyrrha flash in your head. "NOOOOOOO!!!"

Cinder throws the spear and it hits Weiss. Everyone in the room...just looks at her in shock. She gasps in shock. The spear then disintegrates as Weiss goes motionless and slumps forwards....You feel something within you shatter.
