(Volume 5) Chapter 2: Complications in the plan

Raiden's POV (Salem's Palace)

Raiden:"YOU FUCKING IDIOT!" I yell as I fling Shiro across the room. He slams into one of the windows in the hall, his blood prosthetic legs and arm evaporate, Shiro simply laughs lightly

Shiro:"Is that any way to treat your 'father'?" I ignite my flames and rush over to him and grab him by the throat and raise him up, I have particles surround Shiro and sharpen to shred into his body. Shiro chuckles as the blood coming from him boils and forms new prosthetic limbs.

Salem:"That's enough!" Salem appears behind me, her eyes flaring a little bit of red. I exhale loudly

Raiden:"Yes mistress." I toss him to the side and glare at him, Salem places a hand on my shoulder as I shiver slightly feeling the darkness shrouding over her.

Salem:"Now what was that about, Doragon?"

Raiden:"Well the failed capture of the Chronicle for starters, and revealing his identity to the Chronicle WHICH caused him to awaken. And if the King of the Glaive tells him about Shiro's past then our plans get put in jeopardy."

Salem:"I understand that you are angered, but you can not kill Shiro, even though he failed, we still need him." My flames disperse as a raging headache swells in and my eye bleeds "Know that you've only become the vessel for Doragon for a little less than two weeks, your powers are potent and uncontrollable and will destroy you without the proper training until the proper fusion between you and Solar can commence." I remain silent as my anger dims along with the migraine. I hear the sound of the door's at the end of the hall opening, I see Cinder walking through.

Cinder:"What's going on here..." Ah, so the treatment's done.

Salem:"Just a small argument." She lets go of my shoulder and glances at Shiro before walking to her seat and sitting down. I look over to Cinder glancing at me as she walks forward and stands beside Salem.

Raiden:"Well, well, well. Seems like you're all healed...well somewhat." I wink and give a menacing grin as she glares at me angrily

Cinder(Raspy):"And it seems like you're still a piece of shi-" Salem raises her hand and Cinder immediately recognizes to stop. She breathes in deeply "And it seems like you're still a worthless piece of garbage." I smirk and shrug

Salem:"Enough." As she says that a Seer Grimm enters...seems like someone wants to talk.

???(Through Seer Grimm):"Your Grace...are you there?" The red mist coming from the Grimm clears to show...ah it's that coward from Haven. Lionheart.

Salem:"Hello Leonardo. Do you have something to report."

Lionheart:"Of course, ma'am. I would not waste your time if not." Watts walks in front of Lionheart and inspects the Seer Grimm on his side.

Watts:"I'm still just so fascinated by this creature. Cinder, dear, are we coming through." He taps the Seer Grimm. "Can you see us clearly? Well as clearly as you can"I laugh at that remark and Cinder glares at me angrily before looking back at Watts

Cinder:"Shut. Up."

Watts(Sarcastically):"Oh goody, you've recovered." He rolls his eyes

Raiden(Sarcastically):"Yeah, it's just pure joy being around her the entire time." Cinder's eye flares a little at me and I give a snarky smile in response

Watts:"Oh, I'm sure about that."

Salem:"Your report." Salem finally says, Watts moves to the side as Lionheart moves forward "What is it?"

Lionheart:"I've...I've found the Spring Maiden." Spring huh...I hope to the Gods that she isn't like Cinder...

Salem:"Is that so? Well done. Arthur, Had I known how useful you'd be in expediting this process, I would have sent you long, long ago."

Watts:"As much as I would love to take credit, ma'am, I can't say either of us are to thank for this development. I guess you can say, a little birdie told us." Qrow...

Salem:"Explain..."

Lionheart:"You see ma'am, Qrow Branwen arrived at Haven Academy earlier today. He believes Spring has taken residence with his sister's tribe."

Cinder:"Is...the girl...with him?" I assume she means the S̩̬͈íl̷̼̩v̜̘̟͔̝̰͚͡ȩ̥͕̫̥͓̭ͅr̝͉̜-̺̬͝E̱y͖͟e͇̪̪͈̗d̸̙ ̜̠̱͡W̜̯̻̰̳a̵̻͇̲̙̥r̩͎̮r̳̪̳͇i͉̫̳o͚̜r͖͎̯? ...What the hell?

Watts:"Yes, Miss Rose was in attendance. Along with Mister (Last name)." C̳̣̜͔̥̫h̙̍͛̓̅͌͢r̛̪̘̩̠̻o̲͉͖͙̥͉͐̎̄ͧ̑n̵͙̝͉̯̝̜͈̋͒̍ͦͧͪ̊i͑͊̈͐̇͗̅҉̻̼̹̼̰ç͎̯̺̥͎̮ͭͪ̌̇͗l̫̯̺̹e̖̹̩͚̭͊̆ͭ...My head hurts after saying that...

Salem:"And you know of the Tribe's location?"

Lionheart:"Yes ma'am! But you must hurry! Qrow is already at odds with my-!" He gets cuts off as Salem eyes flare just a bit as the Seer Grimm on Lionheart's side wraps its tentacle around his neck, choking him. "Ah!" He desperately tries to gasp for air

Salem:"Leonardo, do you remember the first time we met?" Lionheart falls to his knees "I remember. I remember your fear. But, since that day, you've been extraordinarily brave. I won't forget all that you've done for me. Do not forget everything I can do to you." Another tentacle goes up to Lionheart's face as the tentacle's spike looms ever closer to his eye, afterwards the Tentacle choking him lets go and all the tentacles return back to the Seer Grimm. Lionheart coughs violently trying to regain his breath. "Cinder, Raiden, you and your team will meet with Doctor Watts and together, convince Raven Branwen that the survival of her people depends on your cooperation. Once you have Spring under control, escort her to the Relic and contact Hazel. The White Fang was promised the destruction of Haven, and they'll have it once we have what we need."

Watts:"Understood." Watts is about to turn and leave before Salem speaks again

Salem:"Not you, Arthur. Tyrian's in need of a new tail" Right... S̬̺̪ͦͩ͗ỉ̪̐̔͟l̶̋͆̃͒v̛̞͖̣͍̝̍ͪͫ---...Ruby Rose

Watts:"What happened to his old one?"

Cinder:"Guess."

Watts:"The Silver-Eyed girl?" Cinder grunts in anger Watts gives a slight bow "It will be done."

Salem:"Good." The Seer Grimm stops showing Lionheart and Watts...after a brief pause Salem speaks "You're free to speak your mind. Cinder is turned around at the moment

Cinder:"I don't understand." She turns "Working with bandits? Keeping Ruby alive?"

Raiden:"Along with the C̓ͧ͋̽͂h͚̤̤r̶͚̱͍͔͙̔o̪̙͔̟̙͚ͣͥ̿̓͐̌n̨̤̮̬̗̝̱͙̈́͋͗ǐ҉̼̖..... (F)?" Salem looks over at me...she noticed the change in voice...

Cinder:"What's the point? We're strong enough to take what we want by force!"

Salem:"Never underestimate the usefulness of others. Take Leonardo; he was one of Ozpin's most trusted, and yet now...Hmm...you will have the power I promised you, when the time is right. But remember that it comes with a cost. If Ruby Rose has learned to harness her gift, then you must take care to protect yours. There's only so much I can do to aid you." She looks over at me "The same applies to you, according to the reports that Shiro gave me, the Chronicle has awakened his Semblance...and though you are a vessel to Solar, a fully powered Leviathan and King of the Glaive will destroy you...but there is no need to fear, the revival of Solar will take place. The Chronicle being awakened will only speed up the time table." I nod and bow to her Grace and walk out of the door, Shiro's still on the ground, meditating it seems. Cinder is walking behind me now "And before you go, Inform Tyrian I wish to have a word with him." Her expression is dead serious...I feel a chill down my spine. Cinder simply smiles and nods as she passes me on the way out.

We both exit...the hell was with my voice back there...must be the side effects of becoming merged with a beast... I glance up at Cinder, still walking. She stops and immediately slaps me with the back of her hand. A few sparks coming out, used a bit of her Maiden powers I can tell. My skin turned black with scales, barely felt it, though I don't think the pain was the point.

Raiden:"And what's bothering you, sweetie?" I smile menacingly as Cinder grimaces at me.

Cinder:"Who the hell do you think you are?" I scoff

Raiden:"I THINK that I'm Doragon, I don't know, let's check with Salem?" Cinder's eye flares an auburn color and I respond with small sparks of flames that comes out of my right eye.

Cinder:"I mean coming in and making a fool out of me."

Raiden:"Honestly it isn't all that hard to do, you set yourself up for it."

Cinder:"Why do you despise me..." Cinder says grimly

Raiden:"Well, I don't remember much of my past but something I DO remember is...... y o͏ ̛u ̢ ̛k͝ i ̴l͝ l͜ e ḑ ͘ P͟ ҉y̨ r͢ ͜r̵ ͟h ̀a͢ " My pupils are completely engulfed in black flames. She stands there, immobilized, I clear my throat as the flames diminish"But besides the death of a close friend it's just fun to make fun of you...now you can either can complain about it the entire time or you can grow up and we can have more fun while we get Spring." I ruffle her hair as she smacks my hand away and we walk away.

Kowa:"Cole, are you sure about this?"

Cole:"About what? Being king? It's my only duty right?" I look over the horizon of the kingdom while sitting on the edge of a building

Kowa:"Yeah...you're turning 18 tomorrow, but do you WANT to be king?"

Cole:"Well...dad keeps saying 'You have to be able to give anything for your kingdom if you want to succeed' yadayadayada so, I don't really have a choice." Kowa sighs as he balances off the edge of the building, it's well over a 300 foot drop...

Kowa:"I wish I was born first, so you wouldn't have to have such a burden on your shoulders."

Cole:"Little brother...I'm thankful you don't have to go through what I have to go through, I have to be the proud and prideful prince representing the kingdom of Glaive. The prince who has to accompany his father to war meetings, the prince who is always viewed as perfect and if you mess up, no matter how small the mistake, the entire kingdom judges you."

Kowa:"Yeah...well...we should head back, mom says she wanted to talk to us before dad came back from visiting the Kingdom of Adeptum."

Cole:"Right..."

Later at the Glaive Throne Room

We enter the massive throne room filled with faithful servants and...flowers, apparently my dad likes to just have those scattered amongst the ground. We walk along the long corridor leading up to the King and Queen's throne where everyone bows before us...I really hate this place. I look at the Queen's throne er...my mom Nikko's fancy chair. As she smiles warmfully at us as always.

Nikko:"Welcome back you two."

Kowa:"You said you wanted to see us, right mom?"

Nikko:"Yes I really needed to speak to the both of you before your father returned."

Cole:"And why's that?"

Nikko:"Well as your 18th birthday is tomorrow and a massive feast will be prepared, you will need to pick out a bride."

Cole:"A WHAT NOW!?"

Nikko:"A bride, someone whom you shall spend the rest of your life with."

Cole:"I KNOW WHAT A BRIDE IS BUT WHY!?" Kowa snickers in the back

Nikko:"Why, so you can keep the legacy of the Glaive preserved."

Cole:"How do I just 'pick' a bride? It's not like there's a line of women hoping to get with a young and wealthy-...actually........that wouldn't be that hard to find..........BUT STILL!" Kowa bursts out laughing

Kowa:"Ah, you're never gonna get any ladies with that attitude bro."

Cole:"Ugh...today's gonna be a long day." I lower my head...

(Well I'll try to upload these after a couple more episodes come out, oh I hope you enjoyed the Cole as a prospering Prince segment, I'll do more of those later on, showing how Cole learned about Luna and all that good stuff, but I placed it here as I needed to make this chapter longer, oh and sorry ABOUT the length of the chapter but there isn't much for Raiden and (F) to do here, peace ya'll.)
