(Volume 5) Chapter 11: Turning Point/ A Hero In The Making.

You're sitting next to Raiden. He's unconscious still...you don't want to think about Luna right now...you need to focus on the big things happening. Ruby and Yang are busy fighting Mercury and Emerald. Jaune is still healing Weiss as Nora protects him. And the fight between Hazel, Lionheart, Qrow, Ren, and Oscar/Ozpin is getting fierce. You get up and look towards the center of the room.

Shiro warps into the center of the room. He looks furious, he looks at you with black flames in his eyes. You try to Conjure your Kitsune...but nothing happened, your eyes widen at the realization that you need o fight hand to hand. Oh no...

Shiro:"I can feel it...that constant headache from the Leviathan and Serpent being near each other is gone...she's not around to heal you now isn't she?" You glare at him as he laughs. He closes his eyes as the black flames flickers. "How are you going to fight me now?" You look at him, you get into your fighting stance that Yang taught you.

You(Sub):"Cole..."

Cole(Sub):"I'm here for you now, don't worry." You feel electricity coursing through you as your hair turns white and your eye bursts into electricity.

Shiro dashes at you, his spear drawn. You ready yourself but from behind you a blood replica of an Ursa tries to claw at you, you duck underneath the strike with your enhanced speed and quickly speed behind it and axe-kicking the Ursa into the ground. Your powerful kick creates a crater and the Ursa lays within it, the Ursa turns back into blood as it rushes back over to Shiro, it swirls around Shiro as he warps at you. He strikes at you multiple times but you dodge continuously, you grab his arm and swing him over you before slamming him into the ground. Shiro quickly sends out a blood spike right at you and you get hit directly in the stomach. You yell in pain. You hear Ruby yell in the distance

Ruby:"(F)!" She's looking at you, not paying attention to Mercury who's about to spin kick her head. You call electricity to surround your arm and you shoot it out towards Mercury. It hits him directly as he gets flung back by the energy and he hits Emerald. They both get knocked down as Yang and Ruby look over to you, slightly smiling. While you were distracted you get hit in the back by a full power Flare Smash. You feel the blood rushing out of your mouth as you get flung out of the building. You roll on the ground before getting on your feet. You dust yourself off as you look around to see White Fang members everywhere.

You:"Uh-oh." You get ready to fight them off as they all aim their weapons at you, you see Adam in the crowd of White Fang and you glare at him. "Adam..."

Adam:"(F)...long time no see..." He places his hand on his sword, getting ready to take it out on a moment's notice. He gets ready to draw it before all of a sudden a giant crash is heard and Hazel is flung out of the building, a massive hole in the front of the building has been created. You look at Hazel as he gets up...an idea pops in your head...a very stupid one but an idea nonetheless.

WF Member:"What's going on in there!?"

Hazel(Distorted):"None of your concern." Hazel looks at you, you stand at the ready. He doesn't seem interested in you. He reaches into his pockets and takes out dust crystals...In that moment you burst over to him and dive kick right into him. He gets flung back as the red dust crystals fly out of his hands. You burst upwards and grab both of them, You burst back over to him while he's still down and quickly grab yellow dust crystals as well. Hazel gets up and grabs you before smashing you into the ground, you grab onto his arm as electricity surges through your arm and you Flare Smash him off of you. He flies back and you quickly get up and look at him as he gets up. He gets out two more red dust crystals. "I have no quarrel with you, Chronicle. But if you try to inject those, it will be fatal." You spin one of the crystals in your hand.

You:"I'm told I'm pretty stubborn when it comes to dying." He glares at you as you quickly dash back into the building. You burst over to where Ruby and Yang are, they're still fighting against Mercury and Emerald. Hazel...hasn't followed you back in...your heightened hearing lets you hear a familiar voice. You smile lightly. Ruby glances back and notices this.

Ruby:"What is it?" She dodges back from a blast from Mercury's foot.

You:"I...I think the team is finally together." Ruby tries to look over to you confused but she's too distracted. You can't focus on her as Shiro immediately warps in front of you and Flare Smashes you straight in the chest. you hear your ribs cracking as you get flung back, Shiro sends a blood replica of himself to stop you before gut punching you in the air. You catch yourself in the air and wrap yourself in electricity and shoot it out at Shiro, he phases through. Damn you miss phasing.

Cole(Sub):"Remember what I told you about your Semblance. You have Luna's power built within you. You HAVE to access it."

You(Sub):"Every time I've accessed it so far, my Soul has tried to burn through my skin." You burst downwards and flurry kick Shiro. He continuously phases through it before spin kicking you.

Cole(Sub):"You can't use full power. Just try to use a small percentage." You try to feel around for Luna's power within you, but there's nothing. "The power is YOURS." You feel heat burning inside your chest.

You(Sub):"Gah! I don't know how to access it though!" Shiro grabs you by the neck and slams you on the ground. You gasp for air as Shiro brings back his other fist, flames building on it. You look at the yellow dust crystal that's still in your hand. "Should I?"

Cole(Sub):"It is incredibly painful...but. We don't have that many options here." You look at Shiro, your electricity spikes as Shiro is electrocuted off of you. You jab the dust crystal into your left arm and you feel immense pain unlike anything you've felt before. You fall to the floor holding your arm in pain as it the pain exponentially rises with each passing second. You try to slowly get up. Yellow veins surround your arm. You open your palm as your electricity flares and turns into a white hot color. You feel powerful...but the pain is unimaginable. You look at the other dust crystal in your hand. You try to brace yourself for the pain and you stab the dust crystal into your right arm as well and you fall to your knees in pain. Your electricity is blazing around you like crazy. You get up and breathe in and out heavily, trying to distract yourself from the ever growing pain.

Shiro looks at you curiously as he warps over to you. He goes to hit you with his Flare Smash...but it's so slow...you grab his arm and twist it behind him. You then kick him in the gut before hitting your other fist against his back. He gets electrocuted violently from that last hit as he warps out of your grasp. Shiro warps back towards you as he switches his spear into an axe as he spins it around him getting closer to you. You keep stepping away from him before he quickly dashes at you and brings his axe down on your head. You catch the blade in between your hands and you struggle to keep the blade from hitting against your head. It gets ever closer to your eye before from behind Shiro, you see a dagger get plunged into Shiro's neck. He yells in pain as he staggers backwards trying to remove the dagger from his neck. You look to see that little Sophie is now hanging onto the dagger, riding on Shiro's back as she gets flung around by Shiro's flailing body. Shiro grabs Sophie by her ears and yank on them, pulling her off of his back and slamming hr onto the ground. You hear her shriek in pain and you immediately Phase Dash and Flare Smash into Shiro. He goes flying back and gets knocked into Lionheart. They both tumble away and stop, both lying on the ground for a while. A small blue fire mixed with electricity trails from your eye...you feel different...this is most certainty you doing this. You warp over to Sophie and your electricity diminishes.

You(Distorted):"Sophie are you alright!?" You help her sit up as she holds her Faunus ears in pain, her eyes teared up from the pain and she weakly gives a thumbs up.

Sophie(In pain):"Y-yeah, that REALLY hurt though..." She grabs her dagger off of the ground and gets up, you get up as well. "I don't want to hide anymore." She stands at the ready. You sigh

You(Distorted):"You aren't ready for a fight like this...but we need as much help as we can get."

Sophie:"Then I'm happy to help." You feel Solar coming through Shiro...without Luna you can sense the presence of Solar easier...now that you notice, Solar's energy seems similar to Luna's in a way.

Shiro(Solar):"You knów, ͏in ̕EV̀E̛R͠Y ̡si͟tua̷tion ͠th̀at̷ ́wo͢u̧l̴d̸n't ͞háve̵ wor҉k̶ed.͠ T̕hat ̴ģír̴l̴ s͜ee͢m̢s to̡ǫ ͡wea͠k ͝t͠o ̀e҉v̕e͜n scr̶at͠c̨h m̀y s̨ca̡les.̛.͘.̸But.̷.̢.y̕et͜ ̧som͘ęho͟w̶, ͠you͢ ҉çom͜pl̴et̷e̷ĺy͞ ̀b̡r̛ok͢e ̷thr͠o̶ug͡h ͞my s҉c̡a̵l̴es̷ ̷and̡ in̸jured̕ m͘e.͞.̸.̀Wha͝t͘ ͢a̡r̨ę ͝y͡ou̕...?" He looks at Sophie. You glance at Sophie as well...now that you think about it...you've never actually ever broken through Shiro's skin. His scale protection is way too tough...you don't care HOW Sophie managed to do it, all you need is for her to do it again.

Sophie:"I don't know what you're talking about and I don't care! All that matters is that I'm able to hurt you, and that's all I need to know." You slightly smile at her. You close your eyes and blue particles surround your hand. You open them and feel your Kitsune Conjure in your hand. You switch it into its 9-Whip mode as the electricity from the dust in your skin surround the individual whips, you fling the whips at him. Shiro phases through them and dashes at you as you switch your Kitsune back into a regular blade and clash against his axe. The electricity surrounding you is hitting him...it isn't effecting him even with the dust enhancement. You continue clashing as Sophie jumps up from behind you and goes to stab at Shiro. Shiro kicks you back and dodges out of the way easily. Shiro quickly surrounds his hand in flames and flicks his finger and thumb as a massive wave of fire heads directly at Sophie. You quickly warp in front of her and push her out of the way of the flames.

You get flung back as the flames consume you, you cry out in pain as you skid into the ground. You quickly douse the flames all over you. Those burns are gonna hurt later...you can't focus on that right now, you warp back over to Shiro. Shiro readies his axe again...before he looks out towards the windows, you notice it now but all of a sudden you hear sirens coming from outside? Lights are coming through the windows as well...seems like you have back up? Heh, seems like this fight is finally turning around. You smile smugly at Shiro as he simply laughs demonically.

Shiro(Solar):"Y̢e͏s͘, ͘I c̢an ̀f̵ęel ̡it.̴.̨.̴you'r͞e ̢u̷s͟in͞g your̴ ǫwn̸ ̢p̀óweŗ.̸..v̷e̕r̕y so͏on͟ ͠you wi͡l̢l͘ be ̛r͝éa͟dy.̧ ͡Yo͡u ͟j̧u͟s͠t need ҉o͢ne̵ ̛f͢inal pus͢h.̸" He looks at Sophie. "A҉n͜d ͡I k̡n͡ow͘ h̢ǫw̨ ̀to ̴tr̨ig̶gęr͜ ͘ìt.́" He closes his eyes "L̨u͡n͞a̷ ͟isn҉'͘t her̸e t̶o pro͘t͘e̵c̡t y͢ou̵ n͘ow.̕..that̶'s̨ ̵too̶ ͜bad̨. ̧I͏ ̛wa̡n̨t̕ed to pl͟ay̛ f͢or̡ ̡l҉o͢ņg͠er.̷.̷.̸I ̡gu͡es̕s̡ ̵i̴t̷'s͟ ti͢m͝ȩ fo͡r ̡m͡e ̛to͝ ge̷t s̴eŕio͟u҉s, C̵hr̢on̶ic͟lè.̸" Shiro is consumed by a blood red beacon as the ground trembles violently. Everyone in the room slowly stops fighting as they look at Shiro. You feel a wave of cold hit you as the hair on the back of your neck stands up. Shiro steps out of the beacon as it disperses. Both of his eyes are consumed by brilliant black and gold flames, the whites of his eyes have become pitch black as his iris and pupils have turned into a glowing lavender color. His eyes and mouth are dripping with some black liquid, his skin his turned into an ash color and black veins go throughout his body, all while a shadow of a Serpent looms over him. You warp over to Sophie and defend her as Shiro smiles demonically. The building trembles violently as everyone looks around, Shiro looks down "A̶h̕..́.͢se͢e̴ms̀ ͟l̕ik͡e ͟t͝he̢ ̕ţwo m͞a͏iden͞s ́a̡r̛ę l͏ock͏e̡d i͡n ̸ćo̢mba̴t.́.̕.it'͡s ̨o̴nly ri̛gh̵t̨ th̸a̡t̨ t̛he ̧C̀hroni̶c͢le ̀an̷d͜ ͜the 'M͝an̢ ̕iņ th̕e C̸lo̵ak' ͟f̢igh͘t̴ ͡a͞s̛ wel̀l̵.̵.." Shiro warps in front of you. He holds his hand in the air as black and purple flames emanate from it. You barely have time to register but you bring your blade up. Shiro slams the black/lavender fist against your chest and you get blown back and slam against the wall. When you hit the wall, black particles explode around you and you feel tremendous pain...the concrete of the wall cracks. Shiro appears right in front of you. He holds his hand out as a black particles surround his hand and his spear Conjures in. He grabs you by the neck and grabs then rip out the dust crystals in your arms. The electricity surrounding you turns back into its regular color. He then throws you back into the wall. You cough out blood and look at him, your flames and electricity from your eyes flickering.

You:"Damn...you know you've REALLY messed up my life..." Shiro smiles "First...you take my father...and morph him into the monster he is now...NEXT you take my brother and slowly manipulate him, forcing him to hurt the ones he loves. You made me shatter and lose an entire year of my life." You feel your energy surging as your chest burns "You made me paranoid and worry about where you would pop up next, you are in my Soul and I can't get rid of you no matter WHAT I do. You made me lose my mom...and now you're trying to overtake me..." A light blue light emanates from your chest as your hair turns pure white. The blue cracks scatter throughout your skin and your flames burn brilliantly blue. "And I'm going to destroy for all that you've done." You immediately warp strike into him and he gets blown back before stopping and dusting himself off. Off in the center of the room you notice that Weiss is back on her feet, a Lancer summon is above her and it reels and throws Hazel in the room...You don't remember her EVER summoning something before but you don't care at the moment and you're just glad to see that she's up but you need to focus on Shiro.

You burst over to him as particle crafted Tridents surround you as they all shoot at him. He dodges and ducks before bursting and slamming his fist at your chin, you fly up before hitting the roof. You kick off of the roof and burst back down at him, you quickly axe kick at him, he easily stops it with his arm before he grabs your leg and slams you into the ground, the ground cracks and shakes underneath you but you grab onto his arm using your legs and flip him over you. As he flies up you warp above him and spin your leg into him repeatedly. He gets slammed into the ground and is now in a pretty deep hole. You look down the hole...he hasn't gotten back out yet. You look around to see...Blake. She's standing at the hole in the wall, looking surprised. You smile at her lightly as she sees all of you.

Blake:"Yang?" Yang looks at her in shock. Oh boy that's gonna be a weird conversation to have later. Ruby looks at Yang pointing at her

Ruby:"Yang go!" Immediately Yang runs off towards the elevator that Cinder and the others took.

Emerald:"NO!" Mercury and Emerald try to stop her and Mercury grabs her arm. For a split second you could see Yang building her anger as her eyes turned red. She calms herself and detaches her arm before she jumps down into the hole...Mercury and Emerald try to follow her but the path is blocked by Weiss creating a wall of ice...it seems like Yang's learned a lot about controlling her anger. You wonder what insane battle must be going on in there

You feel a hand grab your ankle, you look down to see Shiro's hand through the ground. You try to Phase but it's too late as Shiro bursts though the ground and uppercuts you. You fly high as Shiro warps above you and his foot is surrounded in a violent dark aura, he kicks you down with tremendous force as you get drilled into the ground. Shiro bursts down after you as his arm is filled with the dark aura as well. He punches you and you explode downwards into the ground before you fall through into a vault? You hit the ground and look to see....HOLY SHIT! Raven is currently in a POWERFUL battle between Cinder. Holy shit!!! RAVEN'S THE SPRING MAIDEN!?!? You look at their battle in awe, trying to understand what's happening. You see Vernal is down...maybe dead...you can't tell, Cinder has a grimm arm, and RAVEN'S THE GOD DAMN SPRING MAIDEN! They both very slightly glance at you, obviously confused as to how you got here...

Speaking of which, Shiro falls through the hole you created and lands next to you. He kicks you in the side as you crash into the wall. You break out of the wall and look over at him. Particle tridents form around you, Shiro smiles as an arsenal of blood weapons surround him. You warp over to him as the Tridents spin around you, slicing over at Shiro, he directs his weapons to block against the flurry of attacks, he sends three of his blood weapons back as they circle back and burst towards your head. A particle wall shoots up from the ground and blocks the weapons as they shatter. The shattered weapons morph back into blood and then morph back into weapons. You grab one of the Tridents and send the hilt into the ground as a powerful wave of fire, electricity, and particles shoot out and send Shiro back. Shiro morphs a blood Scythe into his hand. His energy explodes as a immense dark aura surrounds him, the blood Scythe bubbles from the heat as the blood Scythe turns into a bright lavender color. He swings his Scythe with full power as every instinct flings you upwards. The slice didn't even hit you but it manages to cut your leg DEEPLY. You cry out in pain but that's the least of your worries as Shiro warps above you, the aura grows more violent and larger as the Scythe is surrounded by a dark gold aura color. You use all of your strength, your aura, your semblance, everything to try to block the impending Scythe attack. It clashes against your Kitsune and immediately you are flung into the ground and the ground beneath you explodes, you're in a deep crater, he's clashing against you in the ground. The Scythe shatters the Kitsune immediately. You can't worry about it as the Scythe almost hits you directly but you create a particle Trident and very desperately trying to push him back. It looms closer to you as his aura explodes and becomes a dark gold aura. The Scythe's tip is about to hit your right eye. You grunt in exhaustion as your arms start to tire out. Shiro uses grabs your right arm and burns it immensely. You cry out in pain, you feel your energy fading, you right arm is useless as of now, and you're fending off an attack that will kill you with only one arm. You can barely register the fact that Raven defeated Cinder and is walking over to Shiro. Her red flames blaring, she grabs Shiro by the back of the neck and rips him off of you. She flings Shiro into a wall. Shiro bursts out of the wall. He glares at Raven. He dashes at her but Raven simply dodges and slices upwards. Shiro cries out in pain as he stumbles back, holding his eye. He stops holding it for a split second and you can see his right eye has been sliced deeply by Raven. Raven dashes towards him with ice in her hand and sends him up through the earth above you all...He doesn't come back down. You feel...tired. the particle trident fades and the light in your chest fades...surprisingly no hole in your chest...but the cracks surrounding your skin are bleeding heavily, along with both your eyes. You warp out of the crater and instantly regret, you fall on your side. You hold your right arm in pain...it's in an ashy color right now...Raven looks over at you, walking towards you, her weapon drawn...you forgot that she wasn't on your side...

You(Fatigued):"I thought...Vernal was the Spring Maiden." You look over at Vernal, her eyes now closed.

Raven:"That was the plan."

You(Fatigued):"But...I thought...you were with her...Cinder."

Raven:"The deal's changed."

You(Fatigued):"Does...that mean you're fighting with us?" You cough violently as Raven kneels next to you.

Raven:"I will never fight with Ozpin again. You need to realize that Salem can't be beat. It's impossible" You smile lightly.

You(Fatigued):"N-no...she can. Just like...how my brother can be saved...which many called it impossible...we did it...many said...that beating Cinder was impossible...yet here you are. Your daughter thought it'd be impossible to fight again...yet there she is...fighting AGAINST Cinder."

Raven:"She's a fool."

You(Fatigued):"She's...braver than...you...not to be...rude...fighting for something bigger than herself? Y-yeah...it's not...the smartest thing. But it's better...than hiding and running...knowing that you could do something." Raven narrows her eyes at you before getting up and heading towards a big door...you try to stand up and fall again, Raven glances back. You try to get up again, succeeding this time. You Conjure your broken Kitsune, holding it "That's...what being a Huntsman is all about...defending this world from unspeakable evils..."

Raven:"You would've died had I not intervene in your battle against Solar."

You(Fatigued):"I know...and had I died, I would've died knowing that I was trying to make a difference. Sacrificing myself for Ruby, Raiden, Sophie, Yang, Blake, Weiss, and everyone else in my life...so yeah, we might be fighting a lost cause. But it's better to die like a hero, then to die like a coward."

Raven:"There's no difference between being a hero and being an idiot." You chuckle weakly

You(Fatigued):"Nah...there's one difference...idiots will die doing whatever they please. Heroes sacrifice themselves for what they love." You almost fall over from fatigue but you keep standing. You look over to Vernal's dead body "Just like Vernal..." Raven stops and looks back at you "She...was a hero to your tribe...I didn't know her...but all I know is a girl like her must've been dedicated and loved her tribe in order to die for it." Raven looks at you before she heads towards the door...you feel something immensely powerful coming from there...more powerful than anything you've felt before...that must be the relic. "What are you planning to do...with that relic Raven?"

Raven:"None of your business."

You(Fatigued):"A mysterious relic with the power to alternate reality itself? Yeah...pretty sure that applies to my business with me being Chronicle and whatnot..." She doesn't respond. "I don't care...what you're thinking...but taking that relic will only make Salem go after you even more..."

Raven:"And what are you going to do about it? Are you going to try and stop me 'hero'?" She scoffs and looks at you, you feel your consciousness fading.

You(Fatigued):"Heh...well...as a hero...it is my duty to do idiotic things...so..." You warp right in front of the door of the relic...which you instantly regret as you hold your head in pain, you stop and try to not focus on the pain, you aim your broken Kitsune at her "Come try to get past me...if you can..." You can barely stay conscious...Raven has her hand on her hilt. She's hesitating.

Raven:"(F)..." You smile lightly before you feel your legs give out and begin to fall forwards...you feel someone catch you, you look up and see Raven looking down at you. She kneels as she sets you on her leg, you drop your broken Kitsune as it vanishes with blue particles surrounding it. You're seeing everything blurry now.

You(Fatigued):"I'm...sorry..."

Raven:"Sorry for what?"

You(Fatigued):"Sorry for...failing...to save you..." Raven looks at you with solemness and curiousness in her eyes. "I know...you can fight with us....you're not...too far gone...you fought alongside Ruby's mom, Qrow, and Tai...I know you can come back...I can feel...it..." Your eyes grow heavy as you fade away from consciousness.

(3RD Person)

She sets you on the ground slowly, looking down at you unconscious self. She sighs

Raven:"...Well kid, if there was nothing else I could take away from this. You can definitely give a good speech...and you can definitely make someone question their own ideals... but now, just rest (F). It seems like you'll turn out to be a real hero one day...much like...Summer. But your kindness won't affect everyone you meet sadly...some people are just too far gone. I don't know if I am...but for now, just rest."

She places her hand on your head before getting up and looking at the door...she touches the door and the door slowly opens up, and on the other side, a massive desert is shown with a path leading to the Relic of Knowledge resting on a stone pedestal.

Just as she's about to enter the chamber, the sound of Ember Celica firing is heard and turns around to see Yang landing and standing back up, Yang looks at you still unconscious and bleeding on the ground. She looks up and looks at Raven.
