(And here we are at the Finale of Volume 4 with a total of 40k+ reads! I never expected to have this many reads, let alone the overwhelming support that I've received...now onto the bad news, OBVIOUSLY I won't be able to work on Volume 5 until it's out and FULLY completed so I can plan ahead and shift my idea to the canon. So...that means no uploading for 'The Chronicle' for a good long while...nevertheless I plan on continuing this until...well like I said the end of RWBY, or if I can no longer write any more, and I already have multiple endings planned in my head for how 'The Chronicle' ends whether I want to end it before the end of RWBY or AT the end of RWBY but that all depends on how RWBY will end...which will take a while since it's confirmed that Monty had 10-12 Volumes outlined for RWBY...so...only...6-8 more volumes to go :D((Dear God I'll be 23 to 25 when this ends...)), of course, none of this would be possible without the genius that was Monty Oum, may his soul rest in peace, as his work has inspired millions and his art will be remembered for years to come. Volume 4 Finale: The Fallen King/ The Risen Chronicle 

Last time on RWBY

You:"AGH!" You look down to see a blade running through it. as blood trails down your leg You look to see where the blade came from...to see the Man in the Cloak towering above you as a dark lavender flame trails from his hood.

Ruby:"(F)!"

Man in the Cloak:"...Mind if I take him?" Black particles begin to surround the two of you, Ruby explodes towards you before the Man in the Cloak grabs her and slices her side and tosses her, she falls onto the ground.

You:"RUBY!" You reach your arm out...before you and the Man in the Cloak vanish.

This Time on RWBY (Your POV)

You get kicked in the back as the particles dissipate around you. You tumble onto your side and look around to see that you're in a place with...no buildings or trees or any sort of sign of life whatsoever. The area you're in is completely flat...where are you? No time to worry about that as the Man in the Cloak begins walking towards you...a blinding anger fuels your Soul as brilliant Blue Flames are trailing from your left eye and crackling hot white electricity is coming from the right. Blue Particles swirl around you as lightning trails along your body.

You:"WHERE IS RAIDEN!?" You Conjure both your Marasuma and Kitsune and narrow your blood-thirsty eyes at him.

Man in the Cloak:"Now why should I tell you that?" You throw your Marasuma and Kitsune at him. He blocks both of the weapons but you immediately warp to your Kitsune and switch it into it's 9-whip mode and wrap it around his torso, he phases right through before any damage could occur. You burst over to him and cover your arm with electricity and aim directly at his face. As the hit lands, a massive ball of lightning forms and crackles with intense power. You feel pain coming from your torso as the Man in the Cloak drives his knee into your stomach and you get sent flying back. He wipes the dust off of his cloak.

Man in the Cloak:"Ah...I can seen that your link with the Leviathan and the King has improved..." He appears in front of you before Lavender particles surround his hand and he flicks you, the flick causes a massive shockwave and you are flung back and slam into the ground. You get up shakily and glare at him "But you still have so much to learn." He holds his hand out as lavender flames form in the palm of his hand...the flames become enormous and you can feel the intense heat from where you are, but then the flames surrounding his palm become condensed into a tiny ball of Purple Fire... "Catch." He tosses the ball at you and every muscle in your body immediately spring as you fly upwards into the air. The fireball hits the ground from where you stood and an ENORMOUS pillar of fire shoots upwards and the resulting shockwave from it knocks you back, luckily it did because the fire would've consumed you. You notice that multiple black particles are surrounding you. Those particles turn into black shards and they all fly at you. You have to phase through a chunk of them but you leave yourself defenseless as the other shards sink into your skin, your chest is completely covered in them. You feel blood sticking to you and you fall down to the ground, the shards vanish and you hold your chest trying to stop the bleeding. "Why should I tell you where he is if you can't even beat me." He appears in front of you as you get onto your knees. "Problem is that, if you went after him...you would surely die. And if you can't even beat me, then Raiden would be an utter nightmare...considering that he's now Doragon and is more powerful than I am." Doragon? And wait, Raiden is more deadly than this guy!? 

You:"That's a lot of talk coming from a Man who's too much of a coward to show his own face."

Man in the Cloak:"If you wanted to know, you needed only to ask." The Man in the Cloak takes off his hood...Your eyes widen "I am Ardyn (Last Name)." A prolonged silence makes you sick to your core...your OWN FUCKING FATHER IS STANDING IN FRONT OF YOU!?

You(Enraged):"N-NO!" Your...father smiles deviously.

Ardyn:"...Well...let's just say I'm not the Ardyn that you knew...you see...in the stories they tell of Leviathan, they tell the tale of Cole the unstoppable King who brought peace to his kingdom by imprisoning Serpent. But no one fully knows the story of Shiro the Fallen King, the King who single handily tore down the kingdom in search wealth, power, glory. Only for that King to end up at the door of a witch begging for power...And all she gives him is a damn curse, the curse of having an ultimate evil living through your Soul. When the King died his Soul laid intertwined with the Serpent living in him, keeping him alive, and waiting for a vessel. Thousands of years pass as the King laid patiently, until a man comes in on his knees, begging for the return of his passed wife by using one of the legendary Relics forged from the Gods of Light and Dark. It was pure destiny that the man had the same blood flowing in him as the Fallen King. The witch felt this and promised him that he would see his wife again...only to kill him and have Serpent take over...since the man didn't have enough Soul power in him the Serpent wasn't able to fully revive through him, the witch saw this as an opportunity and placed the Fallen King in its place..." You feel dead on the inside...It can't be... "Do you get what I'm saying...your father was a fool who wanted his wife back...the idea of a relic that could reanimate the very world corrupted him. And his mistakes placed his own sons in harm's way. The man you see before you is not the man you knew...it's been replaced with a man who will stop at nothing to see the Chronicle gone. But please for the sake of confusion, call me Ardyn." He slightly bows tauntingly...You are teeming with a ferocious vile rage...but you just sit there on your knees...you stare down...your eyes empty.

You:"Dad..."You feel something absolutely shatter...the point where you just can't take it...anymore...your eyes flare a pure blue color. Your wounds burn as smoke rises from them and completely heal "I...can't...watch as another...family member gets taken from me..." You laugh...very quietly. A golden beacon surrounds you as you feel as if your chest is on fire...this is your own power you're using...your chest is flaring with a pure white ball of light like when you first woke up from your coma, your skin begins forming white vein-like cracks all across your body, the cracks have a white glow on them and heat emanates from them. Your hair begins to flow as it becomes a pure white. You slowly begin to stand up as hot Cyan lightning flares around you mixed with golden particles as it forms a spherical-dome around you. You raise your head as massive Golden Flames immerse from your eyes. The beacon vanishes and you stand up as the dirt on the ground lift up and circle around you and pulses away from you. The clouds above you circle above you as they become dark and filled with lightning, You take a small step and the ground breaks underneath you. Ardyn steps back

Ardyn:"...So you actually decide to go all out? Heh, I should've done this from the beginni-" Your chest charges up and sends out a ball of fire mixed with lightning at Ardyn as he jumps out of the way and the ball expands and implodes before causing a massive explosion as golden particles fly everywhere. Ardyn looks at the explosion and you appear behind him at incredible speed and fill your fingers with flames as you shove your hand right at Ardyn's back. It gets stopped as a metal clang can be heard, the attack didn't work but the shockwave that follows becomes enormous and flings Ardyn forwards and he tumbles onto his back. You warp above Ardyn as 13 Tridents made of gold-particles form behind you and fly at Ardyn. His body takes them directly but the tridents fly off of him and shatter before Ardyn warps behind you and slams you into the ground as a mighty tremor occurs as a enormous crater forms. You get up from the crater, unscathed. You look at Ardyn as Black scales fade from his body. Your Trident forms into your hand along with your Kitsune, 13 more Golden-Particle tridents form around you, all pointing towards Ardyn. Ardyn's gone quiet, You burst at him and he gets ready for you and stands defensively but a particle duplicate of you appears behind him and axe-kicks him in the back, offsetting his balance, you knee him high up into the air before the Tridents fling upwards and hit him from all sides...they sink into his skin as they explode with a golden fireball that engulfs Ardyn's body. Ardyn flies down and crashes down onto his feet, Ardyn's arm is covered in blood, he smiles, the blood boils as the blood falls onto the ground and forms into a Scythe...A much cruder version of Ruby's but you can recognize that it takes after the Crescent Rose. "You have your Semblance, but I have mine."

He picks up the blood Scythe and twirls it around him before slamming the tip of it into the ground and a massive solid blood spike trail explodes towards you. You lift up your foot as Golden Flames surround it and slam it into the ground as the Flames explode outwards and creates a ring of fire, that stops the blood spikes

Ardyn: "Like how Cole uses Soul, I use Blood Manipulation. My own blood becomes my masterpieces. The more blood I lose, the more fun I can have with it." 

You don't care as your chest charges up another Flaming ball of lightning. Ardyn throws his weapon at you and you shatter it with a punch, it's fragile, the shards then form into spikes as they fly at you, you flip sideways. They all miss and fly off before they circle around and go into Ardyn's chest. Ardyn smiles as the shards turn back into blood and mix with the blood pouring out of his chest. There's a massive puddle of blood on the ground and you don't waste time to see what else he can make as you fire off the ball of flames which you're now going to call Soul Burst. The Burst comes flying back at you surprisingly as you stop it with your hand and absorb the flames and the electricity crackles around your dome...It's not just inanimate objects he can make it seems...a giant blood version of an Armored Geist Grimm stands tall. It dashes at you and you switch your blade into its HF-Engine Blade mode and clash with the massive blade it has. You overtake the struggle and jump off of the Grimm's blade and slice off its head and you land on the ground...The Grimm just morphs into blood and begins taking form again. You ignite your hand with Golden Flames as it shoots out and incinerates the blood. No trace left behind, your instincts make you duck as a...familiar shield flings past you.

The shield circles back to reveal...Pyrrha...it looks exactly like her, doesn't even look like a blood replica either... You feel pain in your heart...but that just makes your rage burn brighter. Your mind is yelling at you to dodge as you instinctively flip over a floating blade...well a few of them and you have to maneuver in the air to dodge them. You look to see where the blades came from to seen Penny as well. Shiro's a real son of a bitch, You remember the laughs and the love you felt for them...you can't grieve now, you have to take out these duplicates before more damage is inflicted on you. This twisted version of Pyrrha explodes over to you and flings her shield at you, you block it but it was a distraction as one of Penny's swords go through your leg. The sword immediately turns into blood and incinerates due to the heat coming from your body. The wound heals slowly and you get kicked back by Pyrrha as she knees you in the face, you fly backwards right into Penny as she slams you into the ground. The floating swords circle around you and you form a Soul Burst around your chest, but you jump into the air and place your arms against your chest and grab onto your Burst, The burst goes inside your body and you feel insane heat pulsing from you, The burst implodes from INSIDE your body, it severely damages you but the result is a MASSIVE spherical repulse coming from you and it covers the entire area......You'll call this Rose Burst. You REALLY feel the pain from that attack, THAT was dangerous, you didn't go all out with this Burst and you really get the feeling that attempting to use this at full power WILL kill you, no matter how strong you are. The repulse of flames engulfs the two fakes...but their screams of pain sound exactly like them...You're gonna have nightmares of that, kill Shiro first, nightmares later. 

You warp over to where Ardyn is...only to see that he's covered in head to toe in blood. The blood begins to boil on his body creating the most rancid smell. The blood swirls around Ardyn and flies behind him in the air. The Blood begins to take form...and the enormous Dragon Grimm from when Beacon fell comes out, entirely red. It roars as a mighty shockwave sends you back, you dig your feet into the ground before jumping high into the sky and have Flames propel you into the air. You stop propelling yourself and now you're hovering, albeit very feeling very unsteady with the help of the constant flames emerging from the bottom of your feet. You circle your hands in front of your chest as a extremely dense and heavy Soul Burst emerges from your chest. You feel your body cracking, the vein-like cracks dim a little out of all the energy you placed into this Burst. The sparks crackling around it are a dark red color, you launch it at the Dragon and it easily dodges it and the Burst flings away, Ardyn laughs

You:"Made you look." The Burst comes from high in the sky in an INCREDIBLE SPEED the image of a Golden Leviathan trails behind it with its jaws open wide, Ardyn has not time to evade and calls the blood back to him as it tries to protect him, ...The tremendous explosion levels the ground and shines a light so bright that it breaches through the clouds and incinerates the Dragon in the air and would've blinded anyone unfortunate enough to be within radius, the ground trembles for several moments. The overwhelming explosive flames don't end for a while either, after a few minutes it seems like the flames have finally been quelled. What follows is a gargantuan crater emerging from the destructive Burst you made, crackles of dark red sparks come from everywhere in the crater. At the bottom of the crater is filled with magma along with golden particles scattered endlessly across the area, surrounding ground is cracked with a redish-yellowish glow coming from it. The clouds have all vanished and with the sunlight, you can see a dark figure at the edge of the crater. 

You warp down over to it...to see Ardyn on the ground with his right leg and left arm missing, the wounds aren't bleeding, but they're charred to bits. Ardyn looks at you with a smirk on his face. His body is covered in black scales 

You:"I'm...I know it isn't actually you but...I'm sorry, dad." You know that a regular blade won't kill him, but you need something as strong as his skin. You Conjure your Marasuma and flip it into its HF-Engine mode. You grip it tightly as you implement Luna's power into it as becomes coated in gold. The gold color is from Luna's scales...This'll finish the job. You close your eyes and plunge your weapon downwards. Only for you to feel pain rushing in your side as you get flung into the other side of the crater, you get crushed into the ground and continue to go into the ground, you cough out blood out of the pure force coming from that one kick. You slowly emerge from the deep crater you were just sent into and look over to see Raiden...his eyes are empty as an enormous black flame ignites from both of his eyes. You grow cold as Raiden...floats over to you as a black aura covers from his feet. You back up fearfully as you raise your Blade and Conjure your Kitsune. He lands in front of you with his arms behind his back. Your head is plagued with horrifying images as your head pulses with pain. Raiden closes his eyes and holds his head in a bit of pain.

Raiden:"Those two mystical beings really don't like being near each other. Ever wonder why you felt so much pain when you were around Ardyn? Ardyn feels it too, he just knows how to get over the pain." He looks at your Kitsune. "Who are you? I know you're the Chronicle, but what is your name?" What...does he mean?

You:"(F-First name) (Last Name)? R-Raiden you know me..."

Raiden:"I don't remember anything." Your eyes widen "Well I remember very vague things, like how I recognize that blade. Where did you find it." He says while gesturing over to the Kitsune that once belonged to him.

You:"I-I." He gets closer as your head only throbs with pain further, you quickly feel your power draining as those glowing cracks around your body fade slightly further

Raiden:"Where. Did. You. Find. it."

You:"I got it from you...come on Raiden, it's me! Your brother!"

Raiden:"I have no family, nor do I want a weak brother like you who could barely handle Shiro. I'll be taking him, any restraint and you will suffer slowly before your death." He holds out his hand as a dark ball of fire comes from his hand, you can FEEL the incredible heat from where you are...the ground beneath Raiden melts and that's just seems to his regular Flame...what have they done to your brother? You let go of your weapons as they get surrounded with gold particles "I'll take that as a surrender. My orders are to find you and bring you back to the Queen, but I have other plans, grow and become strong, Young Chronicle, for when I make my move to capture you I want it to be a challenge."

You:"What did they do to you..." Raiden walks away 

Raiden:"They made me Doragon." He glides back over to where Ardyn is and grabs him by the hood. He turns back to you as he holds his head in pain before a red flare comes from his eyes enveloping the two of them and they vanish...You collapse to one knee, holding your chest as your power fades away quickly, your hair returning to its normal color, the light from your chest fades, Your Golden Flames goes back to a regular Blue Flame in your left eye, and you're back to normal. You feel everything fading...You look down at your chest to see a massive hole in it...it came from that light in your chest...your Soul literally burned a hole through your skin...and now those vein-like cracks in your skin have remained, but now they're all profusely bleeding. You fall onto your back as you, just barely, hear the sound of an airship coming...you feel your eyes grow heavy as a ship lands beside you, and you go unconscious 

10 minutes Earlier (Ruby's POV)

I hold the gash in my side, scared out of my mind. Jaune quickly runs over to me and helps me up

Ruby:"(F)!" No, no, no! Not again, please...I can't even grieve as that nightmare of a Grimm twitches and roars sending out a shockwave comes into view and we all stand defensively, The Grimm looks at us before it turns its head to look at Qrow and begins running toward him. NO! NOT HIM! Jaune sheaths his sword and makes a run for Qrow. The Grim lashes out with one of its arms, and holy crap it can stretch its arms out. Jaune avoids it and gets Qrow upright, but the Grimm is heading right for them. Ren kneels down and places his hand on the ground as he activates his Semblance to hide Jaune and Qrow from the Grimm, which stops in its place and looks around in confusion. Jaune stands still, staring at the Grimm.

Ren:"Just get him to safety!" Jaune walks away with Qrow while we dash in. The Grimm is using its arms to try to grab hold of each of us, but is as we lay down fire it can't hit us.

Jaune:"Guys, keep moving, go in a circle!" We all listen and begin laying down fire while running in a circle, Jaune move in and slices at the Grimm's legs before he gets struck back and almost hits me, I roll out of the way and I stop as I see Jaune sheathing his sword after getting up.

Ruby:"What are you doing?!" He takes out his blade again, as I COMPLETELY forgot that he had it upgraded, I smile before slamming the tip of my blade into the ground and fire at the Grimm, it gets distracted right before Jaune runs up and jumps into the air and slices the Grimm's leg as it screeches and dashes back and I continue firing at it. I stop as it just looks at Jaune while it twitches. Before it spins in place and his arms shoot out, we all try to dodge but it was so fast that it ended up HITTING EVERYONE, RIGHT in the place where the Man in the Cloak got me too, ow. I get up, holding my side and grit my teeth, the Grimm's arms return to its normal length...as it begins to transform, the bones in its back extend before it twitches and gives a ferocious roar and the thin strips of flesh on the Grimm's mouth rip apart. The roar catches me off guard and I cover my ears, I see Ren run up a tree and jump up onto one of its branches before firing at the Grimm, it immediately turns and launches one of its arms at him slamming and pinning him into a building. It goes to launch its other hand at Ren and Nora looks at me

Nora:"Ruby!" I nod, and Nora jumps on my Crescent Rose before I launch Nora in between Ren and the Grimm's blow. Her hammer is pinned to the building above Ren, with Nora dangling from it. Thank goodness they're both okay. Ren looks up at Nora.

Nora:"Stop looking!" She says while pulls on her skirt, covering herself, Ren covers his eyes

Ren: "Ah-ugh." Nora grins to herself. Huh...love can bloom on a battlefield, but on to the actual death now, The Grimm flings Nora around until she is knocked to the ground and her Aura shatters and depletes. Ren slashes at the Grimm's hand before Jaune attacks its leg again, giving Ren the ability to give himself leverage to pull the hand off of him. He repeatedly goes after it, He's being VERY reckless like how I was against Tyrian. His eyes have a wild look to them.

Jaune:"Ren! Knock it off!"

Ren ignores him and dashes at the Grimm again before one of the creature's arms grab onto his leg and slam him onto the ground beside Nora, his Aura also depleted. The two partners rise together, Nora first. Ren's eyes are only on the creature, and Nora tackles him under a building as it rushes at them, time to get into this fight again. Jaune blocks the Grimm from getting any closer to them but he gets knocked to the ground, I distract by firing it from far-away, doesn't help since it turns and shoots its arm out at me, I freak out for a bit before jumping up as the hand slams where I stood and use the recoil from my rifle to direct myself to a roof of a building, I fire off a few shots but the Grimm sends its arm out at me again and I use my Semblance and speed out of the way. Jaune continues to try to slice at it but he blocks as he slides back, I run over to where he is as Nora and Ren come out looking determined as ever 

Ruby:"Ren. Jaune and I can take care of its arms."

Nora:"I'll take care of the horse."

Ren:"And I'll take care of the rest."

Nora heads to a rooftop. I quickly run and fire at the Grimm as it shoots out its arms at me, I continuously bob and weave from building to building, firing down on the Grimm until I use the recoil of my rifle to send me into the ground, the Grimm sends one of its arms out and I jump up and use the recoil of my gun to send me high into the sky before twirling my Crescent Rose around me, fire a shot to recoil me flying to the ground and stab the Grimm's arm into the ground with the tip of my blade. Ren's knife is flies around and embeds itself into the body of the Grimm. Jaune stands near the Grimm and it shoots out its other hand out before Ren flies in with Jaune's shield and pins the arm down on the ground.

Ren:"Now!" Jaune strikes his sword through the Grimm's arm into the ground. As it screeches and flails about in pain. "Nora!" Nora freefalls from the roof to land a killing blow to the head of the horse. Ren retrieves his knife and walks before the trapped Grimm, it roars right in Ren's face, but Ren stands there unfazed...This would be the perfect time for a cool speech or one-liner, er, He cuts off the Grimm's left arm. It screams in agony and flails its body around, Ren grabs its horn and pushes it down before slicing off the Grimm's right arm. More screams of agony. It twitches in pain before roaring at Ren, Ren delivers a slash at the Grimm's chest and it twitches around violently as Ren closes his eyes.

Ren: "For myself." OH HE WAS DOING A COOL ONE-LINER THING! He opens his eyes and swings with the knife, beheading the Grimm. It flails its body for a bit before it dies in a pillar of black smoke. Ren drops the knife and breathes out a sigh of relief only to be tackled by a giggling, triumphant Nora. He hugs her back and gives a single laugh...we need to find (F) immediately...wait Qrow I run into the alley where Qrow was left during the fight. I breath a sigh of relief that he is still alive.

Qrow:"It's quiet. Good job, kiddo."

Jaune:"Guys! I think I hear something!"

Oh, I can hear it too. In the courtyard two wood and metal airships are coming in to land; Nora points in Qrow's direction.

A man in a brown flight suit with an air tank on his back carries Qrow on a green stretcher with I walk alongside them, my hand on Qrow's shoulder. The two rescue ships take off. They place bandages on my wound.

Jaune:"How did you find us out here?"

Mistral Pilot" We were on patrol and saw the smoke. Nobody's been out here for years, thought something might be wrong."

Ruby:"W-WAIT! WE NEED TO FIND (F)!" All of a sudden, the sound of a HUGE explosion rings through the air, we all turn to look and see an enormous explosion, far from us. "T-There! We need to go there!" The Mistral Pilot nods and walks away. 

When we get there...there's a massive crater...on the edge I can see someone, I look closely, IT'S (F)! They land the ship and I rush out, oh my God...he's in a terrible condition, breathing somehow. The medics that were on the ship quickly bandage the worst wounds and bring him on. We begin flying and I look at (F)...God what happened in that fight...wait, the cracks in his body along with the hole in the chest glow vibrantly and fade...HOLD UP, WHAT!? Immediately (F) sits up quickly, almost knocking me back from surprise.

You:"Raiden!" He yells in a shock, panting heavily as he looks around confused before eventually looking over and seeing me.

Ruby:"(F) !" I immediately hug him and he tenses up.

You:"Ow!" I flinch back from the hug

Ruby:"Sorry!" He looks at his self and checks himself...he looks EXTREMELY surprised.

You:"How the..." Aaaand now he's confused

Ruby:"(F), WHAT HAPPENED!? Y-YOU JUST GOT TAKEN AWAY BY THAT JERK THAT KEEPS TORMENTING YOU, A-AND YOU WERE COVERED IN THESE WEIRD CRACKS IN YOUR SKIN!"

You:"Well, we won't need to worry about that jerk for a while, I beat him honey, for now at least." I breath out a REALLY big breath of relief

Ruby:"Oh thank goodness...wait...HOW!?"

You:"Well, those cracks in my skin and the hole in my chest were from me fighting him, and I caught him off guard and injured him badly. Though the reason why I had so many injuries were from myself..."

Ruby:"...What?"

You:"I'll explain later..." He still has a lot of injuries...but at least he seems okay, and managed to win against the guy who was torturing him for so long. He hugs me "Are YOU alright? Ard- the Man in the Cloak sliced you in side right?" He holds my wounded side gently so I wouldn't flinch in pain "Also that Grimm seemed really tough right before I got whisked away."

Ruby:"Yeah, definitely took a lot of strength to kill it...it was so weird when it came to fighting styles, it seemed more unstable than most Grimm and that's really saying something..."

You:"So, it was a Nuckelavee Grimm, that's a new one."

Ruby:"Nuckelavee?"

You:"Yeah it's like this mythical creature from old fairytales that were these weird human/horse hybrids. Let's hope that Grimm was a special one and there's no other Nuckelavee Grimm around."

Ruby:"Yeah..." I hug him back and stay there for a while "You're gonna give me a heart attack one of these days."

You:"And you're gonna be the death of me one of these days." we stop hugging each other and smile at each other, his widen a bit "Wait, Qrow!" I gasp lightly

Ruby:"That's right!" We both run over to where Qrow is and we crouch by him...Jaune comes up behind us.

Your POV

Jaune:"(F), are you going to be okay?" You smile and give him a thumbs up

You:"I'll be fine, nice job leading the others." He smirks and nods at you.

Ruby:"...What if we don't make it in time?" You get up and look at the beautiful city of Mistral...you've made and have Ruby by your side...well...one team member down, four to go.

Jaune:"Ruby."

You:"Heh, you may want to see this." She looks up and sees the flourishing city before them.

Ruby:"We made it, Uncle Qrow." You walk around the airship before seeing Nora and Ren sitting next to each other. Nora and Ren sit on the edge of the open rescue airship, Ren is watching her, begins smiling and puts his hand on hers. She gives a slight start but turns her hand over to hold his. She looks at him and gives him a smile, and he smiles back. Nora scoots closer and rests her head on his shoulder. You smile brightly at them and walk away, totally called it, you walk over to Ruby again, still crouching by Qrow and place a hand on her shoulder and she places her hand over yours, smiling back affectionately and gives you a kiss on the cheek. You look outside as the airships fly in to the city.

Later (Your POV)

Ruby is writing a long letter back to home. You told her that most of her letters got back to Yang and Tai and that gave her peace. You...honestly wonder how different Mistral will be from Vale, and you wonder what new and exciting adventures will be lined up for you...only time will tell as you sit on Ruby's bed with a bandage over your constant bleeding eye. Though the hole is gone, you feel a horrible pain in your chest. You didn't tell anyone about what you saw when you fought with the Man in the Cloak. Nobody knows yet the identity of Shiro or...Ardyn just yet, you'll tell them eventually but you plan for Qrow to be up and about by then. Ruby wipes something from her eye and you look over at her, you wonder what she's thinking about...she stops writing as Qrow coughs a little and she checks on him, she smiles softly at him, looks like Qrow will be fine...oddly enough, you feel something off about Mistral, like this one farmer-looking guy who looked at you as if he saw a ghost. Well, you can't focus on that now, you and Ruby said you would look around the town together and send the letter once she was done. She looks at you and nods while smiling. She grabs the letter before you both walk to the door and exit into the hallway as she goes next to you and she links arms with you. You give her a quick kiss on the lips and she slightly blushes before you two walk away, ready to see what Mistral has to offer.
