(Volume 3) Part 9: A Warning Received Too Late.../Battle of Beacon

 You're on the rooftop of the building where the rooms are as the faunus girl said she needed to talk

Faunus Girl:"Before I start I want you to know that my name is Sophie."

You:"Alright, my name is (F/L). Now what did you want to talk about?"

Sophie:"I'm the girl you saved from the White Fang the day of the breach."

You:"I know."

Sophie:"Well after you saved me...I had time to think, I couldn't understand why you spared me even though I was against you...so, why did you save me?"

You:"It's because when I looked at your posture I knew you were hesitating, you seemed like you were forced to think and act in a certain way. The other White Fang members believe with their whole heart that what they were doing was right...but when I saw you all I saw was a little girl caught up in the middle of something big...I couldn't let your potential go to waste. That's why I saved you...now, is that all you wanted to ask me miss Sophie?" She stays silent for a while as her bunny ears perk down

Sophie:"Thank you...for believing in me, anyways no. There's something big happening very soon."

You:"What is it?"

Sophie:"The White Fang are going to destroy Vale..."

You:"...What?" You say with a concerned look on your face

Sophie:"After you saved me I knew I had to do something so I pretended to be a White Fang member for a while longer trying to get as much information as I could and I learned big things..."

You:"Like what?"

Sophie:"Cinder Fall is controlling the strings." Your heart aches as she says that

You:"...Cinder..." You clench your fist as you look down in anger as flames flicker from your eye. "When are they attacking us."

Sophie:"...Tonight."

You:"What!?"

Sophie:"I-I tried telling others but nobody would believe me and when I asked to see Ozpin they wouldn't allow me, so I had to come to you. I wanted to tell you on the courtyard that one day but you were pulled away...I'm so sorry..." You sigh as you try to collect your thoughts in your head., you place your hand on her head.

You:"You're fine...gah, how did it come to this...okay I'm going to contact my team, YOU need to get out of Vale as soon as possible. Here." You conjure up a secondary scroll you have for emergencies along with emergency money that you have and give it to her "You can contact me with this, use this money to get a shuttle out of here before the madness starts."

Sophie:"B-But what about you?" You look over to the Amity Colosseum.

You:"I've got to warn them before it's too late. Go now." Your eye bursts with flames as you begin to warp to buildings in order to get closer, so many thoughts are going through your head, why are they going to attack Vale? What's the point? You need to keep Ruby and the others safe that's for sure. You stand directly under the Colosseum as you warp onto it

You run into the Colosseum as you get out your scroll and call Ruby, she should be here...no response, damn it where is she! You glance at the arena to see that Pyrrha and Penny are fighting. You can't focus on them, you need to find Ruby. You look at a door that says do not enter...of course you enter either way because you have no time to waste. As you enter though the door you're relieved and confused to see Ruby, she looks back at you relieved...Mercury is at the other end

You:"Mercury? I thought you were..." You suddenly remember what Yang said about her fight "..You're in on Cinder's plan..."

Ruby:"Cinder?" Mercury looks at you a bit surprised before smiling smugly...you sense a fight coming. You warp in front of Ruby as you Conjure your Marasuma and twirl it and slam the hilt of it onto the ground...you're still injured though as you feel pain stinging in your eye.

You:"Ruby, leave! I'll take care of this!"

Ruby:"B-but I-"

You:"I said go!" You yell at her..she stays there for a bit before she listens and runs through the door that she came from as you glare at Mercury "Why...why go through all of this just to destroy what we've worked so hard to achieve...What's your goal out of this!?"You yell angrily. Mercury clicks his tongue

Mercury:"Sorry can't tell you all of my secrets. Though, I'm curious how did you find out?"

You:"I can't tell you my secrets either..." Mercury sighs before smiling

Mercury:"I guess I'll have to beat it out of you. Oh and..." Mercury fires a homing shot at you as he kicks his leg. You go to block it before the shot curves around and hits your scroll, destroying it"Let's keep this between me and you..." You glare at him as you ready your trident as Mercury gets in a defensive stance before all of a sudden your hear screams,gasps, and mumbling from the audience outside...what's going on? "Hmm...I think you should go check what that was..." You glare at him as you back up slowly, still defensive before bolting out the door. You're confused as to what's going on...until you hear Ruby sobbing, you look at her

You:"R-Ruby? What's..." You look at the arena...to see Penny ripped apart on the ground...as electricity sparks from her severed limbs...as Pyrrha is devastated. "PENNY!" You yell out as you drop your Marasuma and collapse to your knees next to Ruby. You can't think...Penny... You feel a tear fall from your eye as you put your hand on Ruby's shoulder...she turns on her knees and cries into your chest, you don't know what to say... "Ruby...I-" You get cut off by the sound of static, you look up to see the screen showing their aura levels has been replaced by a red screen with a chess piece over it...you were too late...

Cinder:"This is not a tragedy. This was not an accident. This is what happens when you hand over your trust, your safety, your children, to men who claim to be our guardians, but are, in reality, nothing more than men." Cinder...damn it...why couldn't you have been faster... "Our Academies' Headmasters wield more power than most armies, and one was audacious enough to control both." You glance at Ironwood as he gets up in frustration...

Cinder:"They cling to this power in the name of peace, and yet, what do we have here? One nation's attempt at a synthetic army, mercilessly torn apart by another's star pupil. What need would Atlas have for a soldier disguised as an innocent little girl? I don't think the Grimm can tell the difference." You don't care that Penny was a robot...you only cared about the memories she's placed in all of your hearts...you feel your heart ache as Ruby sobs...how is the rest of your team reacting to this...where is the rest of your team...

Cinder:"And what, I ask you, is Ozpin teaching his students? A bloodthirsty battle between brothers, a dismemberment, and now this? Huntsmen and Huntresses should carry themselves with honor and mercy, yet I have witnessed neither." ...She's been using all of you...it makes you sick... "Perhaps Ozpin felt as though defeating Atlas in the Tournament would help people forget his colossal failure to protect Vale when the Grimm invaded its streets. Or perhaps this was his message to the tyrannical dictator that has occupied an unsuspecting kingdom with armed forces. Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue as to who is right and who is wrong. But I know the existence of peace is fragile, and the leaders of our kingdoms conduct their business with iron gloves. As someone who hails from Mistral, I can assure you the situation there is... equally undesirable. Our Kingdoms are on the brink of war, yet we, the citizens, are left in the dark." You feel it...something in your soul knows that darkness is coming...Grimm are becoming aggressive...so much fear.

Cinder:"So I ask you: When the first shots are fired... who do you think you can trust?" The screen cuts to complete static as a siren goes off 

Warning Announcer: "Alert. Incoming Grimm attack. Threat level: Nine. Please seek shelter in a calm and orderly manner." The crowds begin to flee, wild and screaming going past you and Ruby  through the exit tunnels

Ironwood(Intercom):"Ladies and gentlemen, please. There is no need for panic." As he says that a Giant Nevermore appears on top of the arena's force field, before giving an ear-deafening screech as it claws and hits the force field with its beak...this can't be happening.

Raiden's POV 

They actually did it...I look up into the sky as multiple nevermores and Gryffin's are flying around...multiple White Fang members line up the streets adding to the chaos as Grimm roam freely...nobody on my team has contacted me...but I can't just sit back and watch innocents die...I don't know where (F) is but finding him is my top priority right now...I glance over to Yang who is beside me during all of this

Raiden:"We need to find the others." 

Yang:"Here I'll call them on my scroll." She takes out her scroll and I take out my as well as I call (F)...no response? Damn it where is he...I look over to Yang as she looks worried...I glance at her scroll to see that Ruby isn't picking up either...

Raiden:"I've got nothing on (F)."

Yang:"I can't contact Ruby either...let's call the others, come on lets go." She opens the door to the dorm as Zwei follows behind her as I run afterwards.

Blake(Scroll):"Yang, are you okay?"

Yang:"I'm fine. Raiden is with me,Is Ruby or (F) with you? Neither of them are answering their Scroll."

Blake:"No, they aren't." We both stop as worry begins to build up inside us...if something happened to (F)... "Yang, I'm sure they're fine. Ruby's our leader and (F)'s is not the type of person to go down without a fight. They can take care of their selves." I breathe in sharply as Yang closes her eyes and curls her fist into a ball

Yang/Raiden:"Right." You both say hesitantly as we continue with Zwei as we turn into the next corner of the hallways. 

Weiss(Heard through scroll):"This can't be happening." pauses "Penny..." I grimace at the mention of Penny...they killed her...and I'm a traitor...but I won't allow anymore bloodshed...this has gone on long enough I won't let them use me anymore. As Yang, Zwei, and I exit we stop as Grimm and White Fang stand in our way...I conjure my Cloud Kitsune yet again as I hold it defensively.

Yang:"We're headed to the docks near the courtyard. The White Fang are releasing Grimm into the school!" 

Blake(Scroll/Alarmed):"The White Fang is here!?" Grimm lunge towards us as Yang slams her fist into one as she fires her Ember Celica and I switch my Kitsune into it's 3-Whip mode as I wrap my whips around a creep and slam it into the other Grimm...many more are coming still. "Yang!" Blake yells through the scroll

Yang:"Ugh! Gotta go! Be careful!" She ends the call as more Grimm approach...this is going to be a long night...

Back at Amity Colosseum (Your POV)

The Nevermore screeches as it continues to slash away a the force field...it won't hold up for long...

Warning Announcer:"Warning: Safety Barriers Failing." civilians run past you and Ruby in panic, Ruby has stopped crying into your shoulder but...she's still kneeling on the ground with her head down, her expression in a mixture of shock and sadness...you don't know what to do, but all you know is that if you stay here then that Nevermore is going to get in. You look up as the Nevermore circles around the colosseum, you glance at Pyrrha as she struggles to stand as she looks in shock at Penny's torn apart body...she didn't deserve to go out like that. You can hear Jaune yelling at Pyrrha

Jaune:"PYRRHA!! Pyrrha, that thing's going to break in! You've gotta move!" You look up to see the force field flash as the Nevermore rises back up before diving back in...that's not going to hold for much longer

You:"Ruby, please...we need to move...I'm sorry...but Penny wouldn't want to see her friends hurt." She slowly looks back at you with sadness in her eyes... "Please..." Before Ruby could respond you look back at the arena to see that Jaune has jumped into the arena.

Nora:"Jaune!"

Jaune:"Pyrrha, please snap out of it!" He yells as suddenly the Nevermore has completely broken through the barrier as the shockwave coming from its landing knocks back Jaune, Pyrrha, and...the pieces of Penny...you hear a clang near you as one of Penny's swords slides next to you and Ruby...Ruby slowly reaches for it as you hear the Never more shriek. You look up to see that the Nevermore is about to lunge at Pyrrha. Before you had time to Conjure your Marasuma you feel wind blowing you back as roses blow past your face as you see the Nevermore be knocked back by a deadly blur of roses. You get up as you watch Ruby land on the ground as she grips one of Penny's swords. You smile a little

Pyrrha:"Ruby?"

Ruby (Yelling Angrily):"Leave her alone!" She yells as she points the sword at the Nevermore. The Nevermore rises up and circles around the arena before lunging back down. You Conjure your Marasuma and warp over to them as Ruby holds Penny's sword defensively. Before suddenly the Nevermore gets pinned down by a barrage of rocket lockers, and screeches out in pain before going unconscious. The lockers then open up, revealing the weapons of multiple people but you do recognize some of them like the Crocea Mors, StormFlower, Magnhild, and others. You see Yatsuhashi pulls out his sword from his locker as Scarlet holds his cutlass and flintlock pistol, Sage with his massive sword, and Neptune with his gun in hand. You look over at the other lockers to see Sun with his staff, Ren with his dual pistols and Nora with her mighty hammer, the remaining members of Team CFVY, the members of Team ABRN, and Flynt and Neon of Team FNKI...you wonder where the rest of their members are, either way you feel somewhat releaved with the amount of friends at your side. They suddenly shake as the Nevermore starts to get back up. Ren then leaps up into the air and slashes at the Nevermore. Arslan uses her rope dart to swing down and grabs Yatsuhashi from the ground. Sage also leaps up into the air, and Nora runs up to the Nevermore's head and hit it with Magnhild. You glance up at Arslan as she lets go of Yatsuhashi, who is then joined by Sage, as the two broadsword wielders slash down and decapitate the Nevermore, causing it to dissipate into black particles. You're definitely glad you have these guys at your side, you look back as Ruby looks over at Pyrrha.

Pyrrha:"Ruby, I..." she stops as you see that she's holding a piece of Penny's tor clothing in her hands as her eyes continue to tear up "I'm so sorry."

Ruby:"Me too." She says sadly before her face of sadness becomes one with anger "But it wasn't your fault."

Jaune:"She's right." he says as he walks over to Pyrrha with Milo and Akouo "Whoever was on that microphone... they're the ones that did this. And we have to make sure they don't take anyone else." You smile a little as Pyrrha stands back up and takes her weapons back from Jaune as the two of them exchange determined looks. They then look over to you and Ruby, as you both are smiling at the amount of people helping. But you all stop smiling as Griffons begin to land on top of the colosseum. They fly towards you all as Ren calls them out

Ren:"Griffons."

Neptune:"Anybody got a plan of attack?"

You:"Um...attack?"...GREAT PLAN!

Ruby:"Sun! I need your Scroll!" Sun uses his tail to flick his Scroll to Ruby, who catches and uses it to summon her locker as it opens up to reveal her Crescent Rose inside. But before Ruby is able to get to the locker a Griffon lands on it and roars at her before being scared away at the sound of a gunshot. You look over to see where the gunshot came from to see Professor Port holding his axe...how do you aim that if it's also a gun...seems kinda uncomfortable anyways he stands there along with Professor Oobleck  who is holding his club.

Port:"Students! I think it would be best for you to leave." Wait, what?

Ruby:"But we did a-"

Oobleck:"Miss Rose! This day will surely go down in Remnant's history. I'd prefer it if my students could live to tell about it." Ruby nods at them before grabbing her Crescent Rose and twirling it into it's scythe form.

Ruby:"Let's go!" You all nod as you run out into the exit tunnels. You all see General Ironwood as Grimm dissipate around him...damn it you really wanted to see him fight. You all stop as you get near him

Ruby:"What's going on!?"

Ironwood:"Grimm are crawling all over the city. The White Fang's invaded Beacon, and to make matters worse, some...vagabond has seized one of my ships. Until we regain command, the skies are out of our control. So I'm..." Ironwood stops as he quickly aims his gun and fires at a Creep in the head "...going to take it back." Well that was bad-ass, but still as Ironwood turns for his ship, he stops as Jaune speaks.

Jaune:"What should we do?" Ironwood stops and faces you all.

Ironwood:"You have two choices. Defend your Kingdom and your school... or save yourselves." you all exchange looks with each other...you feel like no one is going to leave. "No one will fault you if you leave." Ironwood then climbs up on the dropship in front of him, as he yells "Let's move out!"As Ironwood leaves, you all look at each other and murmur before Sun speaks

Sun:"I mean... come on!"

Jaune:"We can take a ship to Beacon!" You all nod and run over to another dropship getting ready to leave. You all hop aboard before turning to Ruby

You:"We need to meet up with the rest of our team."

Ruby:"I know."

You:"We also need to-" You all of a sudden hear a screeching pain in your ear as your eye begins to emit pain as you groan and grit your teeth as you hold your eye as images of atlas forces turn on your allies goes through your head...but something worse is coming...your Soul can feel it, Ruby looks at you worried

Ruby:"Are you alright?"

You:"We need to hurry to Beacon." you hold your eye in pain before you look over to the General's ship as it plummets to the ground and an explosion is seen. Your eyes widen in shock before you hear the dropship's doors open and look back to see Ruby 

Sun:"Ruby! What are you doing!?" You realize she's going to jump off isn't she...

You:"Ruby, wait!" Ruby pays no attention as she jumps off the ship as it barely takes off as she uses her Semblance to safely land on the runway. As she runs to the stadium out of your view, you look over at the rest of them

Sun:"Oh, don't tell me you're going to jump to!?" You shrug as you smile smugly as you jump off and warp onto the runway and immediately Phase Dash into the arena as you see Ruby at a locker a she's punching in a code

You:"HEY!" She looks back at you "MAYBE GIVE ME A LITTLE WARNING BEFORE YOU'RE GOING TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT!?" 

Ruby:"We need to take out that airship, are you coming or what?"she latches on with Crescent Rose and immediately bursts into the air, as the locker is flying up you quickly Conjure your Marasuma and toss it at the locker as it latches in to it and you warp and grab on to it. You and Ruby land on top of the airship with a thud. You pick up your Marasuma and let go of it as it vanishes with blue particles as wipe your hands and dust yourself off you look at Ruby a bit angered

You:"Well...that's ONE way of getting up here..." You feel massive pain coming from your eye as you feel something evil awakening...you glance at a nearby mountain as it rumbles and explodes...revealing a massive...Dragon Grimm. You watch it in shock as it shrieks and begins to fly towards Beacon...oh no...
