(Volume 3) Part 5: Qrow's offer.

The Next Day

You're sitting with Ruby and the rest of your team, who are sitting next to Team CFVY as Coco and Yatsuhashi are about to face off against Mercury and Emerald. After the long group hug with your team, you felt yourself become closer to all of your teammates...you could tell they felt the same, which is great since you cherish all of them...

The holographic roulette has started as Professor Port announces the two teams...this'll be a good fight, but again you can't trust Mercury and Emerald. Especially after what you overheard yesterday. Yatsuhashi is being all calm and meditating and gathering his thoughts it seems...though Coco is being bad-ass as always...you asked one day for her autograph and all she did was grab your piece of paper, kissed you on the cheek and then stuck the piece of paper to your cheek so her lipstick stain would be on it and she gave it to you...she said it was a payment for helping Velvet against Cardin those many months ago...you were incredibly red that day as you were kissed by a girl who was A. taller than you, B. Older than you. and C. Was very attractive....Of course you still loved Ruby at the time but you couldn't deny that Coco was beautiful, luckily you weren't dating Ruby at the time but still......it...may or may not have been a treasured piece of paper that you could Conjure up...well until Ruby set it on fire. She then cooked marshmallows over it so it was cool...

Well,Raiden's still here, so you guess that he talked to Ozpin about being part of Torchwick's gang...but...you can't ignore the fact the he actually threatened one of his own teammates...you think back to the Raiden who only wanted what was best for his little brother...where is that Raiden now? You glance upwards to see...that the battle has already started and holy hell it's already intense. Coco just busted out her Mini-gun and is shredding through the cornfield that was selected through the Holographic Roulette, though for what? You weren't paying attention,

Blake(Yelling):"Look out!" You wonder why she yelled that...when ALL OF A SUDDEN MERCURY JUMPS IN OUT OF NOWHERE, OKAY THEN!

He aims for Coco but Yatsuhashi pushes her out of the way and blocks his assault, pushing him back. Coco begins firing at Mercury but he dodges each shot. Mercury reaches the two and kicks away Coco's weapon while dodging Yatsuhashi's blade, then delivering a double blow to the Yatsuhashi before jumping over Coco's barrage of bullets. He lands on the barrels and kicks her in the face, leaping over another of Yatsuhashi's swings, only to let himself be hit so he can get behind Coco and force her to press the muzzle up to her own teammate. Daaaaannngggg...he's good...Coco stops until she compresses her weapon back into its handbag form and tries to hit Mercury with Yatsuhashi, but he jumps back and launches two blasts from his boots that the they both deflect...GOD THIS FIGHT IS INTENSE, You look at Mercury as he's spinning while doing a hand stand while multiple shots are gathered around him as the shots fire from his boots before he launches it at Coco and Yatsuhashi. Smoke covers the area and you see Mercury appears behind the two of them, catching them off guard as they go to strike at him but blocks both of them and delivers a flurry of kicks that knocks them back, looking back as a random chain comes out from the forest trees to wrap around Coco and pulls her into the forest...well dang you've never actually seen Team CFVY being pushed like this...

Yatsuhashi:"Coco!" He yells as Coco disappears into the forest and Mercury delivers a blow on Yatsuhashi before he grabs Mercury and throws him into the geyser field, as Mercury's is still sliding back you see Yatsuhashi jump high into the air and clash his blade against Mercury's boots, the shockwave from this clash causing the water to fly back, the earth to crack underneath, and multiple geysers to form around them. Mercury fires his boots and gets out of the hold, he swipes at Yatsuhashi's feet and misses before ducking around each of his blades. One of his kicks lets loose some stones from the ground, which Mercury kicks into Yatsuhashi and begins an assault on him and sent flying into a. This leaves his head in a heated geyser,it erupts and causing him to scream in pain...Ooouccchhh...that has to hurt he frantically gets up not being able to see but opens his eyes just in time to see Mercury coming at him. He gets sent flying into the middle area...the buzzer sounds, he's been eliminated

Port:"Oh, and with that final blow, Yatsuhashi is eliminated!" ...Damn...you never actually would've thought that the big guy would've gone down...Mercury is strong...why did he say that he was leagues apart from Pyrrha...when actually Pyrrha would have a tough time fighting him...odd...you look at the forest area...you can't see what's happening but soon enough you see Coco flying out of the forest area, unconscious as he lands next to Yatsuhashi...the buzzer blares as Emerald appears from the forest swinging one of her chains around...they...actually beat Team CFVY?

Oobleck(Intercom):"And with an amazing upset, Emerald and Mercury are victorious!" ...You look over at Velvet and Fox...Velvet has her hand on over her mouth.

Velvet:"Coco..." Fox places his hand on her shoulder, trying to reassure her...you've never really gotten to know Fox, he seems like a cool dude...you notice that the stadium is mixed with both applause...and boos...looks like you're not the only one baffled by their lost but...damn Mercury and Emerald have to be part of an amazing team...you feel something off as you look back and see Cinder...she's smiling. She notices you looking at her and squints her eyes at you, still smiling before walking off...okay something's definitely wrong with that lady. You notice that your team is getting up you sigh,

You(In mind):"Well...looks like this is going to be more interesting than I thought it would be."

Later (Team RWBY's Dorm)

You're sitting in the bottom bunk of Ruby's bed, a.k.a Weiss' bed as Qrow and Ruby are busy playing something. Yang is watching their fight as Raiden is reading "King of the Mountain".

Ruby(Yelling): "You'll never beat me, old man!"

Qrow:"You're nothing but talk, kid!"

Yang:"You can do it, Ruby!" You...awkwardly sit there not knowing who to root for...well until Ruby cranes her neck at you...almost like in a horror movie and she creepily smiles at you

You:"O-oh you've got this!" You say panicked...

Qrow's ninja immediately decapitated Ruby's ninja...huh , the announcer yells "SOARING NINJA WINS! TOTAL ANNIHILATION!" Qrow grins at his victory as Ruby lowers her head in shame.

You:"Well that was quick..." Ruby glares at you with fire in her eyes...again...her semblance doesn't even do that...

Yang(whispering):"Ouch."

Qrow:"And by the way, don't ever call me old." All of a sudden Yang comes bursting through ramming Ruby out of the way sent spiraling at the wall, out of instinct you warp over to her and...she gets slammed into you as you warped at the direction she was flying to...

Yang:"My turn!" Ruby is on top of you as you groan in pain...

You:"Ow..."

Ruby:"...Well...thanks for trying to save me? I guess?" she helps you up as she gets off of you

Qrow:"Now, where was I?" Right, Qrow was telling you all stories of his adventures , the game begins again with the announcer yelling 'NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES!'. Ruby all of a sudden pops up behind the two of them as you sit back down on Weiss' bed.

Ruby:"You were telling us about your last mission!" she says excitingly

Qrow:"Right, right...I'd come across a small village in the swamps west of Mistral. Right off the bat, I knew something wasn't right."

Ruby:"What were you doing there?"

Qrow:"I needed information. Tired from battling Grimm along the way, I decided to start my search at the town's inn. The place was crawling with lowlifes and thugs, even a few Huntsmen that I could only assume had been hired by less-than reputable people for less-than respectable jobs. And that's when it happened." You're actually getting a bit hooked to this story

Yang:"What happened?" Probably some big bad villain that was known for killing people ruthlessly

Qrow:"I was defeated..." Wait...what the hell is this person if they can defeat Qrow..." by the mere sight...of the innkeeper's skirt length!" ...You are not amused but you see that Qrow is smiling

You see Ruby's dog-head pillow and throw it at him, which he Qrow catches easily as Yang's loses as the game announcer yells 'SOARING NINJA WINS! TOTAL ANNIHILATION!'.

Yang:"You are the worst!" Ruby laughs at her and glares at you and you get scared and start panickly laughing...God what is with this girl today...then again you did kind of leave her when she was angry...'Maybe I should get her some cookies...' you say to yourself...then you remember that you promised to get her anything she wanted...Oh boy...you don't have money

Qrow:"Best two out of three?"

Ruby:"So, Uncle Qrow, did you get in trouble with Ozpin?" She says as she sits next to you

Qrow:"Nah, me and Oz go way back. We're cool." Oz, eh? They were probably Huntsmen in training at the same time if he called the headmaster by a nickname...

Yang: Scoffs "Cool for an old guy." Qrow looks annoyed that the fact that he won't stay young forever

Qrow:"Not funny." It's kinda funny

Ruby:"So, what are you doing here anyway? I thought Dad said that you would be on a mission, for like... ever." Well that's weird, why would he say that? The game starts again as the announcer yells 'READY? FIGHT!'

Qrow:"Well, a professional Huntsman like myself is expected to get results, as soon as possible."

Ruby:"Yeeeeaaaah, I get that." laughs "We're pretty much pros, too." Um...

You:"Um..." Raiden glances up from his book...you both know that you're all FAR from being pros...

Qrow:"Oh, really?"

Yang: "Pssh, yeah! Read the news sometime. We totally saved Vale while you were gone." Eh...Raiden puts down his book

Qrow" Funny, because I heard Vale suffered a Grimm attack after you almost managed to stop a train." Yang scowls at the screen as the announcer repeats 'SOARING NINJA WINS! TOTAL ANNIHILATION!' "But they don't give out medals for almost."

Ruby:"They do, and it's called silver!"

You:"Eh...and participation awards..." Those horrible days in soccer during Elementary school in Menagerie...not your fault that all the Faunus kids had some cool thing that made them more athletic than you...

Yang:"Well, we helped take down Roman Torchwick! He's locked up in Ironwood's ship and crime's been down ever since! That's basically a bounty mission!" Raiden sighs

Qrow:"Sure, you may be acting like Huntsmen, but you're not thinking like one. You really think four girls and two boys and their friends could end all crime in a Kingdom?" You look at Ruby as she is tabbing her fingers together in embarrassment"

Ruby:"I mean, I did until you said that..." They haven't noticed it haven't they?

You:"Ruby...have you ever noticed something's been off ever since we captured Roman?" Ruby and Yang look at you strangely, but it seems that Raiden knows exactly what you mean.

Qrow(Serious):"Violence hasn't dropped since Roman got nabbed; it's stopped, completely. No White Fang activity around the city. You cut off the head of the King Taijitu, but now the second head 's calling the shots. That's what Ironwood can't get through that thick metal head of his." Exactly...except for the last part with the General. Yang exchanges looks with Ruby

Yang:"You... know the General?" This isn't any news to you as you already saw their...little dispute in Ozpin's office...

Qrow:"Hey, I know everybody to some extent. Remember, you're talking to a member of the coolest team that graduated Beacon!" he reaches behind into one of his pockets and pulls out a photo of four people...you see him, a girl in red clothing, red eyes, and pitch black hair...looking very similar to Yang, a scruff-looking blond haired guy who most likely got all the ladies (And he certainty did in his team at least...),...and a girl with a white hood, black hair that turns red at the tips...and silver eyes...a spitting image of Ruby...that for sure had to be Ruby's mom... you notice Yang's eyes widen as Qrow sighs in remembrance "Hah, Team STRQ... That's where I met your parents. We were pretty well known back in the day." Hmm...you guess that the scruff blond person was Ruby and Yang's father, Taiyang, as for the girl with the red eyes...you feel like that had to be Yang's mom, but you don't know her mom's name as Yang nor Ruby really talk about them...

Ruby:"Well known for crummy fashion sense!" You actually didn't think they looked too bad

Qrow:"Hey, we looked good! And I have a number of inappropriate stories to back that up! he puts the picture away as he wiggles his eyebrows "But, I'll save those for when you're older." You and Ruby freeze in disgust

You/Ruby:"Ew, gross!" Yang shakes her head quickly as she snaps back to reality

Yang:"Pssh, you and (F) are always sleeping in the same bed, wait until you're older." You blush a little as She laughs and Ruby looks at her in anger

Ruby:"Hey, you're the one always teasing Raiden!" Oh no...they both realized what they said as they slowly looks to Qrow who glances at both you and Raiden before throwing his head back with laughter...you're scared.

Qrow:"Wooow, would you look at that both, of my nieces are growing up and now dating! ...Congrats..." Surprisingly he just gets up and heads towards the door "Actually, you two should meet me out in the courtyard later...so I can...'congratulate' you being part of my nieces' lives..." Okay NOW You're scared

Ruby:"Oh no..."

Qrow:"Anyways, I'm too old to be hanging out with a bunch of kids. You're gonna cramp my style." he pauses in the doorway and sighs "Look, just remember that you've still got a long way to go..." he turns around and holds a finger up in seriousness "And don't think for a second that graduating means you're done. Every day out there is worth a week in this place. You two, you're gonna go far. But only if you keep learning; if you never stop moving forward." Well...though he's intimidating and immature...he makes a damn good point...though, now you're scared of what he's gonna say later. He leaves and closes the door...you're all left a bit stunned.

You:"...I'm scared of what he means by congratulate us..." Both Ruby and Yang nervously laugh as Ruby hugs you and Yang hugs Raiden...as their laughing turns into sobs...um...

Ruby(Whispering):"I am so...so sorry I got you into this." OH DEAR GOD WHAT IS HE GONNA DO "There's a reason I didn't tell Qrow back in the courtyard that you were my boyfriend...please come back alive..." UUUUMMMM WHAT THE HELL!?!? She pulls away and you look over to Raiden to see that he's gone deathly pale...so have you...oh...no...

Later (In the Courtyard)

It was late at night...you and Raiden very nervously are heading towards the middle of the courtyard...no one is there...you let your flames flow a bit from your eye as you look around to see if you can find Qrow

You(Telepathically):"Um...do you see him anywhere?" Raiden lets his flames flow

Raiden(Telepathically):"Nope...I...guess...we're early?" You think to yourself...this feels off... "I guess we just wait here till-" He stops and immediately grabs you by the arm and pulls you back as you hear a massive explosion occur behind you, you look back to see Qrow, with his blade hitting the ground as the ground you were on is completely destroyed. You slide back with Raiden and you both Conjure your weapons and aim them at him defensively. Raiden seems pissed, you're just down right confused

Qrow:"Well, seems like you boys are quicker than I thought you'd be..." He puts his weight on to the butt of his weapon while looking at you both "I guess they didn't tell you."

You:"Tell us what?"

Qrow:"That if anyone is going to date one of my nieces than they would have to survive 5 minutes against me..." He's shifting from side to side a little...he's drunk but oh dear Leviathan no...(Yes I just said that). You could barely keep up against their fight in the courtyard YESTERDAY... "Well, as soon I start attacking, the timer begins."

You:"U-uh, is this REALLY NECESSARY!?"

Qrow:"My nieces deserve the best, so you're going to have to be the best for them." Well...that's a nice way of putting it, BUT DID IT HAVE TO BE DEADLY!?

Before you could speak Qrow dashes at both of you with incredible speed before crashing his blade against your Trident as you slide back due to HIS MASSIVE STRENGTH as he spins around hits Raiden with the butt of his blade and sends him crashing into the ground as the ground breaks underneath him. He shifts his focus to you as you let your flames flow freely and prepare for his next attack as he blares towards you and you place a Lightning dust crystal into your Trident and slam the hilt of it into the ground as electricity bursts towards him, he easily evades and gets in close as he grabs your Trident, kicks you backwards, and rips it out of your hand. You slide back as he relentlessly begins to slice at you, you evade just narrowly as he swings the blade over his head and down at you as you catch it on the sides of his thankfully giant blade as you hold it back, just barely though before Raiden's Cloud Kitsune-In 5 Whip mode- wraps around the tip of Qrow's blade and yanks it towards him. Qrow wraps the whips around his leg and yanks it downwards as Raiden falls to the ground before Qrow lifts his blade over his head, Raiden flies over head as his Whips are still connected to Qrow, before Qrow could send him into the ground Raiden quickly jumps off and lands beside you...both of you are without your weapons, as they both have dissipated by now and you can't Conjure it again in such a short period of time...god it's only been a minute it takes at least...5 to Conjure the same weapon...YOU REMEMBER! You Conjure your Electric staff and spin it around yourself before dashing towards Qrow and swiping at his legs, he jumps over them and you spin kick at his face but he dodges backwards as Raiden warps behind him and axe kicks downwards. He actually hits him as he...wait no...he blocked it and you use this time to stab at him but he grabs your staff...EVEN THOUGH IT'S ELECTRIFIED! He smiles as he forces the Staff to hit you in the stomach, shocking you (Eh, the tips are electrified, so you won't be constantly electrocuting yourself when holding it) he then grabs Raiden's foot with both hands and spins him into you as you both are sent tumbling back.

You(Panting):"This...isn't working." Raiden seems...aggressive as he dashes at Qrow again before fire wraps around his arm and he Flare Smashes into the ground where Qrow is, he jumps backwards high into the air as Raiden quickly jumps towards him, you warp above the two and throw your staff at Qrow from the air, but Qrow grabs his blade and...cuts...the damn thing in half...he smirks and you warp back to the ground as Raiden is sent flying back towards you. You grab him and slide back a bit from catching him at high speed. Raiden is definitely getting aggressive as he's panting heavily but his eyes are wide and glaring as he's grinning madly...

You:"Raiden!" Raiden calms a little immediately...odd "Pull yourself together, we can't beat him, we need to evade and counter." He nods as Qrow's blade...TURNS INTO A FREAKING SCYTHE!? You gulp, You completely forgot that Ruby said that her uncle teached her how to be so good with a scythe...oh no... he blares over to you both and slices at you, he was too fast as Raiden gets cut in the leg. He gasps in pain and get kicked back before Qrow cuts you in the chest...just lightly though, you could tell he was holding back so he didn't kill you, hurted like hell regardless because you grab your chest in pain as Qrow grabs you by the neck and slams you in the ground, you feel the air got knocked out of you as you get crushed into the ground...it's been 4 minutes...you weakly look at Raiden who is on his knees. You look back to see Qrow with the scythe over his head, is...he really going to kill you...seems like it as he sends the tip of the blade down to you but Raiden launches himself over to him and knocks him back with...his head? He collapses to the ground before slowly getting up.

You(Panting heavily):"...Raiden?"

Raiden(Panting heavily):"Let's go..." You both fill your arm with flames...you start to dash at Qrow who is simply looking at you two but, Raiden falls and collapses...you try to continue dashing but...you only slowly end up walking towards...the flames surrounding your arm starts to crackle and fade...you want to so badly give up but you can't, the flames are fully gone from your arm as you approach Qrow...you're so weak that when your fist hit Qrow in the chest...it was nothing more than a tap... You collapse to the ground...4 minutes and 30 seconds

Qrow: Sighs "Looks like you two aren't worthy for them..." Qrow begins to walk away No...Raiden slowly is crawling towards Qrow...even with just one arm since his other arm is messed up because of his Flare Smash...

You:"N-no..." Qrow glances at you as you grab his heel. "We won't...give up..."

Raiden:"For the people we love..." Raiden crawls over and grabs his other heel.

You:"We can't give up...no matter...the consequence to ourselves." Qrow puts his weapon away. "For Ruby..."

Raiden:"F-for Yang..." You both weakly look up at Qrow

You/Raiden:"We will never give up..." Qrow smiles smugly. As he easily picks the two of you up in both arms...which is strange considering Raiden is pretty heavy...well heavy to you at least

Qrow:"You both have got spirit...that's for sure. Here's my offer, you two seem good for them, which is all I want for them...but know that since you're doing this, that there's no going back...you're either going to strive to be with them for the rest of your life, or not. I better hear that one day you two will be marrying them, because if you leave them and break their hearts...then I'll break you."

You(Weak):"We never will, sir...we're staying with them until the end..." Qrow chuckles a bit

Qrow:"Even after having your asses handed to you, you still call me sir...you both are gonna go far, I can feel it." You chuckle lightly as you feel everything fade...
