(Volume 3) Part 10. Volume 3 Finale: A Broken Soul/A Shattered Brother...

The Colossal Dragon Grimm flies past you and Ruby as you stand in awe...

You:"How are we going to take that down..." Ruby puts on a face of doubt before frowning

Ruby:"I'm not sure, but we need to keep moving and take down this airsh-" She gets cut off by the massive amounts of Griffons that fly past the airship as one lands on it before being cut down by Ruby easily. Another one flies right at you as you dash backwards and the Griffon hits the ground before you jump up and plunge your trident into it's back as it disintegrates. You hear the sound of a picture being taken as you look back and see Neo...Of course Torchwick is behind this hijacking...You get in a defensive stance.

Neo immediately dashes at you both as she jumps off of you before smacking you with her umbrella before  landing as Ruby tries to swipe her legs with her Scythe as Neo quickly somersaults over it before Ruby tries to swing at her again, Neo ducks under before Ruby tries swiping her one last time as she backflips out of the way. As she backflips you warp behind her and hit her with the butt of your Trident as she tumbles onto the ground before stumbling back up, Ruby begins to twirl her Scythe around her repeatedly trying to slash at her legs but Neo simply back flips away before you grab her by the back of her head and slam her into the ground...turns out she made an illusion at the last second as the Neo you're holding shatters as you slammed it into the ground. You feel pain rushing into your back as you tumble backwards and hit the ground hard as smoke comes from your back. You look over to see what happened and see Roman aiming his cane at you. He fires another shot quickly as Ruby gets blown back several feet before hooking herself onto the floor by using her Scythe.

Roman:"Little Red, little Red, you are just determined to be the hero of Vale, aren'tcha?" He then focuses his attention on you "And you just continue picking up after your brother's mess, huh?"

You:"What the hell are you doing!?" You glare at him with your eye filled with flames with an annoying stinging pain.

Ruby:"Without these ships, the Grimm will destroy everything!"

Roman:"That's the plan!" Roman aims his cane directly at Ruby but you Phase Dash at him and kick him in the shins as his feet become unbalanced and the shot misses Ruby, Neo leaps over to you and kicks you directly in the face and you slide away from Ruby and Torchwick. You spin your Trident in your hand as you switch it into its HF-Engine Blade mode and Phase Dash at her and go to unleash a downwards strike before her Umbrella unveils a blade as it pops up out the umbrella and clashes against your Engine Blade. You grit your teeth as she begins to overtake the clash as she slams her foot on yours and knocks you backwards almost off of the edge of the ship

You:"Stop this Neo!" Neo twirls her umbrella as she walks towards you "I know you're better than just being some pawn!" Neo ignores you as she dashes at you at stabs at you, you quickly turn your Marasuma back into Trident form and send the umbrella downwards into the ground as you look at her in the eyes "Raiden knew that!" Neo looks angered by the mention of Raiden as she kicks you and you begin to fall backwards off of the ship before feeling a hand grab your jacket. You see Neo as she pushes you back on and you fall on the ground. Neo then goes to stab at you before you quickly go onto your back and grab her blade with your hands as blood goes down your hands and onto your face. "Raiden saw the good in you!" You force the blade upwards as you kick her legs and she falls to the ground "He saw that you deserved better than to be treated like trash!" You jump back onto your feet before Conjuring your blade and pointing it at Neo's neck as she's on the ground looking furious "Please...where's the Neo who took care of me when Raiden went missing!" Her expression changes into one of slight shock "There's still hope for you...there's still someone who is caring in there...who cared about the well being of a homeless child, someone who cared for my brother...I've been looking at your eyes everytime we've met and though your eyes sometimes only shows a criminal...other times it shows a girl who is regretting her decisions..." You pull away your Blade as you extend your hand instead "Please...Raiden changed...it's not too late for you to change as well...Don't let Torchwick control you." She looks at you curiously...she seems hesitant...

You feel paining emanating from your side as you get launched across the airship as smoke comes from your side. You look over to see Roman aiming his cane at you yet again with Ruby on her back. Neo looks at you before shaking her head and getting up before dashing at Ruby...you really thought that you could save another one...Roman begins to walk over to you launching more shots at you as you have to Phase through two of them that were heading directly at your head...your eye floods with pain, as you get up.

Roman:"Really...'Raiden's changed'?" He scoffs "If Raiden really changed he would've told you all about this attack. But no, because he was worried about saving his own skin than saving his own brother." Roman kicks you back as you slide and Conjure your Marasuma again. "What I think is funny is that all that you are today is because of your brother's mistakes, oh he only wanted to protect you, what a load of bull." You grimace at him as he twirls his cane around "If he really wanted to protect you then he should've went to the orphanage or a homeless shelter, sure you two most likely would've been separated but at least you would be alive. But no, Raiden was selfish and a coward, and he hasn't changed one bit." Roman knocks you sideways as he rams his fist into your cheek. 

You:"Don't you dare...ridicule people's past mistakes." You glare at him "What would you do...in that situation...when you lose...EVERYTHING and all of a sudden a great burden is placed on you...You've made mistakes as well...everyone has" You glare at him "And we're  going to CONTINUE making mistakes...PLENTY of them, what matters is if you let those past mistakes control you...Raiden was young, and he still IS! He's LEARNING to not let his mistakes control, he's GOING to trip and fall, and that's why I AM HERE!" You narrow your eyes at him while gritting your teeth "So I can help him...That's why all of my TEAM is here, so we can help him...that's what a family is for, my team is my family. I won't let you take that away." Roman chuckles a little

Roman:"Well you can die with the rest of your 'family.'" Roman aims at Ruby who is fighting Neo.

You:"Ruby!" As Roman fires you see red particles fly in and stop the bullet...You breathe out a bit relieved as you see Raiden...wait how'd he get up? Gah, it doesn't matter 

Roman:"Well speak of the devil, we were just talking about-" Raiden immediately warps right infront of Roman before spin kicking him in the head. He slides back as he wipes the dust off of his cheek...you look at Raiden looking angered as you notice that his eye is bleeding a little...Neo all of a sudden pops up behind Raiden before stabbing her blade through him. Your eyes widen as he collapses and you run over to him. 

You:"Raiden!?" He holds his wound coming from his side...You feel your anger swelling up as crackles of electricity start to spark around you. Before you could act on anything you feel a hand holding you down. You look down to see Raiden looking up at you and shaking his head slowly...You feel yourself calm down a little as the sparks go away. You glance back up to notice that Ruby is being overpowered by both Roman and Neo. "Are you going to be alright?"

Raiden(In Pain):"Yeah, I'll be fine." He says as he sits up, stilling holding his side. "Didn't expect Neo to actually stab me...she could've killed me but decided not to, I guess she's still a little hesitant."

You:"Then we can help her-" You hear the sound of an explosion and see a blast that causes Ruby to fly off of the ship as she rams the tip of her scythe onto the edge of the ship, holding on for dear life enough. "Ruby!" You start to Phase Dash over but end up tripping over yourself as your eye floods with pain. You begin to get up but end up falling again...you've used up too much stamina...not that you had much to begin with since you're still recovering from your fight with Raiden. You begin to crawl over to them.

Roman:"I may be a gambling man, but even I know that there are some bets you just don't take." Neo extends her blade and drags it on the floor before  holding Ruby at swordpoint.

You(In mind):"Neo, please. Don't do this." You start to crawl faster.

Roman:"Like it or not, the people that hired me are going to change the world! You can't stop 'em, I can't stop 'em!" You see Ruby kick away a Nevermore, before looking back up at Neo and Roman.

Roman:"You know the old saying, 'If you can't beat 'em-'"Suddenly, Ruby reaches for Neo's umbrella, causing it to open and send Neo flying off the airship as she gasps.

Roman:"NEO!" Your eyes widen as you see Raiden jump off the edge as well! Damn it, is he trying to save her!? You can't focus on that as you stumble onto your feet and start stumbling over to them, but fall yet again...

You(In mind):"What's wrong with me? I should be able to walk just fine!" Something feels off in you, but you don't know what...a faint but evil presence is emerging

Ruby:"I don't care what you say! We will stop them and I will stop you! BET ON THAT!!" As Ruby charges at him using her Semblance, Roman his cane with both hands, he fires a shot before quickly catching the projectile with the hook end and hurls it at Ruby, knocking her away, before smacking her with butt of the cane, ramming the weapon in her stomach, and firing another shot, sending her on her back once more.

Roman:"You got spirit, Red. But this is the real world!" Roman then whacks Ruby with the butt of his cane, sending her back a few feet.

Roman:"The real world is cold! Roman strikes at Ruby's legs."

Roman:"The real world doesn't care about spirit!" Ruby kicks him in the knee which causes him to lose balance as he goes to strike again.

Roman:"You wanna be a hero!? Then play the part and die like every other Huntsman in history!" He smacks Ruby with the butt end of the cane. You feel your anger swelling yet afain as you curl your hand into a fist and get up.

Roman:"As for me, I'll do what I do best: lie, steal, cheat, and SURVI-!" Right before Roman could cause a final swing, an Alpha Griffon suddenly appears from the sky and swallows him whole, Your eyes widen...it must've been attracted by the negativity... The roar sends Ruby back a few feet, before the she and the Griffon charge at each other. She kicks the Griffon in the head, sending it through the hull and causing it to crash...uh-oh this airship's gonna go down. Ruby runs over to grab her Crescent Rose, she pushes you off of the edge of the ship WHICH YOU DID NOT EXPECT! You fall aimlessly before you feel Ruby's hand grabbing your wrist and shoots at the ground as the recoil knocks you both upwards, and again and again before safely landing on a rooftop.

You:"MAYBE GIVE ME A LITTLE WARNING NEXT TIME BEFORE YOU'RE GONNA PUSH ME OFF OF AN AIRSHIP!?" Ruby shrugs

Ruby:"Wait, where's Raiden?"

You:"He jumped off after you made Neo fly off of the ship." You see red particles form on the roof that you're on and see Raiden. "WELL LOOK WHO IT IS!"

Raiden:"Yeah, I helped Neo, though she left immediately after we landed..."

You:"Well...we took down both Roman and the rogue atlesian knights...we need to head back to the school, now."They nod at you before you slowly get up. Ruby and Raiden see that you're out of energy at the moment so they support you...all of a sudden in your soul...you feel as if something really bad just happened...Yang...something happened to Yang.

Later

You're at the docks with Ruby and Raiden supporting you, you can already see Weiss and Zwei...but where are Yang and Blake, you can't shake an awful feeling in your heart. Weiss is staring at something but Zwei barks to alert her.

Weiss:"Guys!"

Ruby:"Oh, we found you!"

Weiss:"Where have you guys been-"

Ruby:"Don't worry, We're fine! What's going on?"Weiss lowers her gaze sadly. Something happened...you know it. "Weiss? What is it?" 

Weiss steps aside, you watch...as you see Blake and Yang lying on the ground...her arm missing. Both of them have bandages wrapped around their wounds, Yang's unconscious...You can't think, You slowly glance at Raiden who is face down, his hands curled up into fists so tight that his knuckles have turned white. You look back over to Yang and Blake as Blake reaches for Yang's hand.

Blake:"I'm sorry." Tears form in her eyes...You don't know what to say...God how is Ruby reacting to this...

Blake:"I'm so sorry." She says while curling up and closing her eyes

Ruby:"Yang..." Ruby says while reaching her hand out. Sun walks over to you all

Sun:"Hey. She's gonna be okay. The soldiers have a ship ready to take you guys to Vale."

Nora:"But Jaune and Pyrrha are still missing." Nora tries standing up but fails as she quickly sits back down, groaning and holding her side.

Ruby/You:"What!?"

Sun:"Look, guys, that giant Grimm is circling the school! Even the White Fang are pulling out! We all have to go, now!"

Ren:"We're not... leaving!"He stands up, but then falls to his knees "Ugh!" Sun turns and gives a worried look at Blake.

Ruby:"I'll find them... I'll find them, and I'll bring them back."

Weiss: No! We will find them." She turns to you and Raiden"Watch after Blake and Yang. We'll be back." Raiden has no response as you feel something dark coming from him.

You:"I'm coming as well..." They all turn to you, your trembling right arm and your fatigued face...you're in no condition to fight.

Weiss:"Are you insane? No, you're staying here."

You:"But I-!" Ruby walks over to you and hugs you unexpectedly

Ruby:"No...I'm sorry but I'm not going to have another person I love get hurt." You curl your hand up into a fist before relaxing

You:"...Fine...you better come back alive." She lets go and nods at you  Ruby and Weiss run back toward Beacon Academy, while Sun watches them go.

Sun:"You better be! Idiots." You look at Sun with a 'really' face.

Raiden(Menacingly):"Who..." They all look at him "Who did this to her...?" He looks up as his eye is flooded with flames...the flame color isn't as bright as it usually is.

Blake(Hesitant):"...A-Adam..."She manages to say while in her curled up state...your heart aches at the mention of that name...you glance back at Raiden

Raiden(Menacingly):"Where is he now..."

Sun:"...There was a report saying that he was at the arena..."

Raiden(Menacingly):"I'll be back..." He turns away before you grab onto his shoulder.

You:"You're not going alone." You burst your eye into flames "He hurt our teammates, it's only fair that I come along."

Raiden(Menacingly):"Fine." He looks up at the floating Colosseum before he warps up to it, leaving cosmic dark red particles...You look back over to Blake and Yang before looking back up and warping up to the Colosseum leaving cosmic blue particles. You and Raiden walk inside of the arena and look over to see Adam standing dead center in the middle of the arena. Raiden conjures his Cloud Kitsune and warps down over to him. You do the same as you Conjure your Marasuma and place it into it's HF-Engine Blade mode.

Adam:"Finally." You realize this is a trap as hundreds of White Fang members appear and surround the arena...You grit your teeth as you look around you...but Raiden is dead focused on Adam

Raiden(Grimly):"I will murder you." Adam smirks at that, you feel dizzy as your eye begins to flood with pain and you fall to your knees holding your eye.

You:"AGH!" Raiden seems to be going through the same pain...but continues standing, he dashes over at Adam with his Kitsune pointed straight at Adam's head...but he stops right before the tip of his blade hit

???:"We can't have you do that, Raiden." You feel terror sweeping through all of your body as you realize whose voice that was.

Raiden:"HURTING YANG WAS NEVER PART OF THE PLAN!" Plan...he knew? He yells back angrily as a black fire portal opens up and...the Man in the Cloak steps through it.

Man in the Cloak:"But bringing the Chronicle to us was part of it, hurting one of his teammates would've done that." He...lied to you.

Raiden(Menacingly):"When did we agree to do that..." Raiden looks back at the Man in the Cloak grimly...

Man in the Cloak:"Ah, right...Raiden, the Queen has invited you to play chess." Raiden's eyes widen...as the fire from his eye fades and a dark purple one emerges.

You:"Raiden!?" Raiden looks at you with no emotion whatsoever...You tremble, not Raiden, PLEASE not Raiden. You start panicking as begins to approach you "RAIDEN!?" Everything is dead silent

Man in the Cloak:"It's no use calling out to him, when he's like this he's only programmed to do as he's told. Now then...onto you." They all stare at you as their eyes pierce through you as you feel the weight of the situation you're in. Raiden appears behind you and slashes at your leg before kicking you in the side as you tumble over...what have they done to him...

You(Panicked/Furious):"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM!?" You yell as you slowly stand up, the Man in the Cloak doesn't respond. Raiden begins to walk over to you as he instantly turns his Kitsune into it's 9-Whip mode, you freeze...he's going to kill you "I-I'm not going to fight you Raiden!" Raiden issues no remorse whatsoever as he warps in front of you and upper cuts you into the air, before his whips wrap around you and slice into your skin as you cry out in pain. Raiden swings you down into the ground as you loose your breath, Raiden jumps up and stomps you in the chest. You can't breathe, you stare into your brother's eyes as you can only see a mindless monster.

Man in the Cloak:"What happened to him doesn't matter." Raiden picks you up and forces you on your knees as you breathe in and out shakily. "What's going to happen to you though, is what we're here for. You see we need a sacrifice, the Chronicle's blood is needed in order for Serpent to be fully brought out. Serpent's been dormant for a couple thousand years, she was almost awakened by the Soul of the Fallen King but that King did not have enough Soul power, so instead Serpent was placed inside of his Soul so when a person did arrive with enough Soul Power, they'd be brought forth to Salem so Serpent can be fully restored. Do you understand? In order for Serpent to be brought back, you need to die. So we can harvest your soul. I hope you understand." You hear the sound of metal scrapping behind you...You...you can't die yet...there's still so much for you to do...Yang...Blake...Weiss...You can't die...you just...can't... you're all of a sudden reminded of a time in the past

Flashback...First Day At Beacon

The Red Hooded Girl stares at you for a bit and see she's...slightly blushing?

Red Hooded Girl:"A-aren't you that one guy from the roof from like a week ago?"

You look surprised that she remembered you and you clear your throat while rubbing the back of your neck shyly.

You:"Y-yeah I uh...thought you needed help back then so yeah...I uh guess that can also be applied to this situation as well too huh?"

The Red Hooded Girl looks down shyly and asks quietly

Red hooded girl:"Y-you saw that?"

You laugh a little

You:"Kinda hard to miss when you blew up the courtyard."

The Red hooded girl blushes in embarrassment

You:"Hey no worries she seemed rather cold in the first place so it's not your fault she exploded...both figuratively and literally."

The Red Hooded Girl laughs a little which warms your heart a little.

You:"So...what's your name?"

The Red hooded girl looks up at you and gives you a warm smile and says

Ruby:"My name is Ruby. Ruby Rose. What's your name?"

You:"My name is (F/L). It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Rose."

Now you remember...You can't die...not yet...you haven't gotten the chance to marry Ruby...

Man in the Cloak:"End this, Raiden."

You:"Rai-" Your eyes widen...just a little...you didn't feel pain...but you do feel a warm dampness coming from your chest, A taste of iron and blood in your mouth...You look down as you see Raiden's Cloud Kitsune going through your chest. You feel everything going dark as you see Beacon tower being completely covered in a brilliant white light...all you can think of is Ruby...before you feel something emitting from you as a brilliant gold light shines from your body and fills the stadium. Right before everything went black you remember one final memory

You:"Well that was some nice training today, don't ya think Raiden?"You look at the time on your scroll and see that it's 12:01...your birthday

Raiden looks up at the Shattered Moon and looks to you and his eye bursts into flames and I do the same with Blue flames coming from my eye. Raiden then does one thing that you two haven't with your semblance in years, speak telepathically

Raiden(Telepathically):"You're getting older (F)...And I'm so proud of the man that you are becoming."

You are in shock at first since you haven't spoken telepathically using your Semblance since mom died.

You(Telepathically):"W-why are you telling me this in this way...c-can't you do it in Sign?"

Raiden(Telepathically):"I could...but I wanted this to be special since you are on the verge of being a man...now...we have been through many hardships...we lost mom...and dad left us after a week of drowning his sorrows in Alcohol...but here we are both of us, standing tall and at Beacon."

You(Telepathically):"B-But that was because YOU convinced Ozpin to LET me in...I don't deserve to be here..."

Raiden(Telepathically):"Yes you may have not been accepted into Beacon the regular way...but you were accepted regardless of the circumstance...do you honestly think that Ruby was accepted into Beacon the regular way, no...it was because she PROVED that she could be here...and you have done the same."

You(Telepathically):"No I haven't! It was because of you I'm here...it wasn't my OWN bravery that earned my spot here..."

Raiden(Telepathically):"Then MAKE it yours...you've proven time and time again that you can surpass me, Hell I couldn't conjure till I was 12 and you did it when you were 5! Listen I know that I got you into the school and that it was because of me jumping into the battle on the rooftop was what got us here in the first place, but you can prove your own name while you're here."

You begin to tear up and wipe away the tears with your arm.

Raiden then conjures your Marasuma,a Blood Red Trident now with modifications that turns it into a High-Frequency Engine Blade and into dual Machine Pistols. He tosses it at you and you grab it...it's heavier than usual of course because of the modifications

You(Telepathically):"You finished it?"

Raiden(Telepathically):"Happy Birthday Bro, I love you."

You(Telepathically):"I love you too, Bro."

Raiden walks over to you and ruffles your (H/C) hair.

Raiden(Speaking):"You're gonna go far (F). I can feel it."

Present Day (Ruby's POV)

I feel the light hitting my eyes...I'm...lying in my bed? It takes me a while but I see dad sitting in a chair beside me...he wakes up

Taiyang:"Ruby!" He gets up and kneels by my bed "You're awake!" I'm confused...my head feels foggy

Ruby:"Ugh... what happened?"

Taiyang:"Your uncle Qrow found you, unconscious. He got you out of there, though, and brought you home safe." I look down in thought before realizing.

Ruby:"Wait! Yang! Is she alright!?"

Taiyang:"Uh... She's uh... she's gonna be alright. I think she's just... I think it's just gonna take some time for her to get used to things. She's too strong to let this stop her." Dad covers his eyes for a while before sniffling and looks up, smiling "I'm just glad to have my girls back at home."

Ruby:"What happened to the school?! And Vale?! Were they able to clear out the Grimm?"

Taiyang:"Things at Vale are under control, but the school... It's... it's not that simple. That thing, whatever it is, doesn't seem to be dead. Don't get me wrong, you did a number on it. But it's not disappearing. It's... kind of... frozen. I know that doesn't sound too bad, but it keeps attracting more Grimm to the school." What does he mean did a number on it? I never attacked it

Ruby:"I did... what?" I say while slightly tilting my head

Taiyang:" Hmm?"

Ruby:"You said I did a number on it. What do you mean?"

Taiyang:"I... Look that's not important right now. We can talk about it later. Things are just... kind of a mess."

Qrow:"It's always a mess." We look back to see Qrow standing by the door in the room, before taking a drink of his flask before continuing. "Mind if we have a minute?"

Taiyang:"What, I can't stay here?!"

Qrow:"Tai. Please." Dad stands up, sighs, and then leans and kisses me on the forehead.

Taiyang:"I'm glad you're alright." He starts walking away "I'll go make us some tea." Dad glares at Qrow on the way out, but Qrow doesn't care. He walks up to my bed, grabbing the chair and drags it with him. He then spins it around to face the bed and sits in it while slouching over, crossing one leg over the other.

Qrow:"So, how you feeling?"

Ruby:"Um... I kind of hurt... all over."

Qrow: Chuckles "That makes sense, after what you did." He crosses his arms, now I'm confused

Ruby:"You guys keep saying that! That I did something! What are you talking about?!" He uncrosses his arms and legs, leaning forward in the chair

Qrow:"What's the last thing you remember?"

Ruby:"I ran up the side of the tower, and when I got to the top, I..." I suddenly realize what happened to Pyrrha and gasps, with sadness in my eyes "Pyrrha! Is she...?" Uncle Qrow looks down

Qrow:"She's gone." I was too late...my heart fills with unbelievable grief

Ruby:"I..." My eyes fill up with tears "I... I got to the top..." Tears begin to fall down my face "and I saw Pyrrha..." I angrily look down. "and Cinder..." I grip my blanket in anger "and then everything went white!"

Qrow:"Anything else?"

Ruby:"I remember..." I wipe the tears from my eyes "my head hurting."

Qrow:"The night you met Ozpin, what was the first thing he said to you?"

Ruby:"I... I don't know. I think it was something about..."

Qrow:"Silver eyes. That's an extremely rare trait."

Ruby:"So?"

Qrow:"You're special, Ruby. And not in the 'Daddy loves his special angel' kind of way. You're special the same way your mom was. And in the same category of special as (F) is. Remnant's full of legends and stories, some of them true, some made up. But there's one Oz told me from a very long time ago. Back before Huntsmen, before Kingdoms, it was said that those born with silver eyes were destined to lead the life of a warrior. You see, the creatures of Grimm, the most fearsome monsters mankind had ever encountered, were afraid of those silver-eyed warriors. They were the best of the best. It was said that even a single look from one of these fighters could strike a Grimm down. Heh. It's a ridiculous story."

Ruby:"But... you think that I might be..."

Qrow: Chuckles "Well, a giant monster is currently frozen on top of Beacon Tower. And you're here, safe in bed." He gets to his feet and walks over to a window, leaning on the sill and staring outside. One question now lingers in my mind

Ruby:"Wait, wait, how did you know what Ozpin said to me... the night we met?"

Qrow:"All those missions I go on... all the times I'm away in some far-off place... it's been for Ozpin. But he's missing now. Something's been set in motion. With Oz gone, I'll have to pick up where he left off."

Ruby:"And what could I do? If I'm so special, then I can help, right?"

Qrow:"You really wanna help? Get some rest. You're in no condition to go anywhere right now." He starts heading to the door Besides, our enemy's trail leads all the way to Haven. "That'd be quite a trip for a pipsqueak like you." Winks "Catch ya later, kiddo." He leaves the room as I sit alone for a while...looking out of the window...Haven huh?

I stand in the doorway of Yang's room, she's staring out of the window blankly...

Ruby:"Yang?" I wait for a moment...I get response from Yang, maybe it'll better to leave her alone for a bit...I turn to leave.

Yang:"Ruby." I turn back around, and Yang turns her head to look at me, tears now in her eyes. I run over and hugs her.

Ruby:"I'm so glad you're okay!"

Yang:"But I'm not." I frown before releasing the hug...

Yang:"It's all gone - the school, Penny, Pyrrha, and..." She looks at her severed arm

Ruby:"Yang, where are the others?"

Yang:"Weiss' father... came for her."

Ruby:"What? What do you mean?"

Yang:"No one outside of Vale knows what happened here. Before the tower fell, the last thing people saw was Atlas attacking innocent people and Grimm destroying the city. Everyone's scared. No one knows who to trust. So, Weiss' father came to take her back to Atlas, where he thinks it's safe. She's gone."

Ruby:"Well, what about-"

Yang:"And Blake ran! Sun saw her go. After we got to the city, she just... ran!"

Ruby:"But... why!?" I yell in confusion

Yang:"I don't know... and I don't care."

Ruby:"Where's (F) and Raiden?"

Yang:"...(F) is here." I look at her confused

Ruby:"What do you mean?"

Yang:"Qrow found (F), alone...but when he found him (F) he had multiple fatal injuries...he miraculously survived because of a beam of light coming from him."

Ruby:"Beam of...light?"

Yang:"You can look for yourself...he's in the guest room but...he hasn't woken up yet. They say he's in a coma of some sort" ...A coma?

Ruby:"...And Raiden?" Yang stays silent as tears begin to well up as she places her hand on her head...

Yang(Devastated):"...Raiden..."Tears fall down her face... "Raiden's gone." I widen my eyes in fear

Ruby:"W-what do you mean!?"

Yang:"Nobody knows where he went...he just...disappeared! But...when they found (F)...Raiden's sword was in his chest." My eyes widen in shock

Ruby:"T-there has to be some sort of explanation to-"

Yang:"No, there doesn't!" She snaps at me... "Sometimes bad things just happen, Ruby!"

Ruby:"So, what do we do now?"

Yang:"You can do whatever you want. I'm gonna lie here."

Ruby:"Yang..."

Yang:"Just leave me alone."I slowly leave the room, but I pause in the doorway, looking over my shoulder.

Ruby:"I love you." I leave Yang's room...I walk over to the guest's room...where (F) is...I don't know if my heart can take seeing him...I rack up all of my courage and slowly open the door....

I enter the room...multiple machines are hooked up to him...there's a massive gash in his chest. Tears fill my eyes as I slowly walk over to him and hold his hand...I can't stop looking at the golden light coming from his chest. The light seems more like a beacon if anything as it shines upwards onto ceiling. I stare at (F)'s face...hoping for some sign that he'll wake up but nothing...my heart can't take it anymore as I begin to cry onto his lap. I kept crying and crying until my tear ducts had nothing in them...please wake up...I need you. I  look over at his face...unchanged as I slowly get up before wiping my eyes and slowly exiting the room and closing the door behind me.

Winter (Ruby's POV)

I left a note in my room and getting prepared to exit...but before I do I enter (F)'s room again...he hasn't moved at all...the doctors say that's it's hard to say when he's going to get up...but it won't be any time soon. I walk over to him and hold his hand...so cold.

Ruby:"Please wake up soon. It'd be nice to have you on this journey..." Nothing, I sigh and kiss him on the forehead and look at the golden beacon shining from him and exit and close the door behind me. I step outside, wearing my backpack, and quietly shut the front door....Dad's gonna kill me when he finds out but...I need to do this

Jaune:"Hey."

Ruby:"Hey, Jaune. Haven's a long way to go."

Jaune:"I know. It's the only way we have."

Ruby:"Are you sure you want to come along?"

Ren:"The journey will be perilous, and whether we'll find answers at the end is entirely uncertain."

Nora:"But we wouldn't be here if we weren't up for it."

Ruby:"Then let's get started." We begin to walk away...prepared for the next chapter of our lives.

VOLUME 3 END

(And that's the end of the Volume 3 Finale...Volume 4 is going to be a bit different from the ways I've written parts, next season is going to focus on Raiden and You and the backstory of Leviathan and Serpent along with parts with Ruby and the others occasionally mentioning you. You are in a coma and can't do much for the first half of the Volume, so it won't be as romancey as other volumes but I want your character to feel like he's intertwined in the story and not just forced in there, well either way I'm taking a bit of a break so I can plan what I'm going to do for the next Volume, hope you guys enjoyed!)
